Marvel Anime Extraction - Chapter 91
After that, Fanny helped Banner find a shabby small hotel. Banner had no complaints since the place had no strict inspection or identification. As a wanted man, he couldn’t dare be picky.
Fanny was very tired after fighting for the majority of the day. He went straight to sleep after settling Banner in the hotel.
Fanny’s classes start in the afternoon the next day, so he contacted Tony about Banner’s situation early in the morning.
“Are you saying that his body structure can change completely when he’s angry? Is it a personality disorder?”
Tony’s interest was a little piqued.
“I don’t know if it is a personality disorder or whatever, but I need you to help me arrange a place for him. I don’t want the military to find him,”
Fanny deflected. He initially also thought that Hulk was Banner’s other personality, but his conversation with Hulk yesterday made him feel that this was more complicated than a personality disorder.
“I have an empty villa in New York. Take him there first. I’ll be there in a minute.”
Tony told Fanny the address, and Fanny hung up after memorizing it. He then went to find Banner, who still looked a little haggard in the hotel.
Banner had a lot to think about last night. He even considered escaping in secret, but he hesitantly stayed in the end.
He had no idea what to do after escaping. He was not sure if the military would continue to pursue him without Ross, and he no longer had any lead in solving the problem of Hulk within him.
It was better to believe in Fanny for the time being. After all, Fanny was the only man who could get along with Hulk. Moreover, Fanny’s powerful and mysterious ability could at least defend against Hulk if the green giant emerged.
“Is he going to imprison me?”
Banner asked Fanny before they left the hotel. He didn’t have any place to stay, but he didn’t want to be imprisoned either.
“With Hulk here, who can limit your freedom!”
Fanny rolled his eyes in a bad mood. Hulk might not be the strongest being on Earth, but he was definitely up there in the ranks. It won’t be easy to restrain him.
Banner was silent. He did not want to rely on Hulk’s strength. He only wanted to live a normal life.
Fanny opened a portal directly to the address Tony gave him for the villa. Not long after, Tony arrived at the villa while wearing the Mark 6 armor.
Tony opened his mask and nodded at Fanny, who was wearing casual clothes. He then turned to Banner, who was standing with a stiff expression.
“Hello, you should know about me already, so I can skip the introduction.”
Tony stretched out his hand to Banner.
“Of course.” Banner hurriedly shook Tony’s armored hand and replied, “Bruce Banner.”
“Actually, I know you. You have several very well-written papers.”
Fanny was a little surprised that Tony knew about Banner already.
Before Banner could say anything, Tony suddenly stretched out his arm and stabbed Banner’s waist with his fingers, making Banner cry out in pain.
He then turned at Fanny, confused. “Didn’t you say he would transform after given a stimulus?”
“Stop messing around!”
Fanny did not expect Tony to be so reckless. He was the only one who hadn’t seen Hulk’s strength. Otherwise, he definitely would not dare to do this. Just one or two Iron Man armors wouldn’t be enough to hold Hulk back.
“Sorry, the kid said that your transformation could change the structure of your body, which made me quite curious,”
Tony explained to Banner.
Banner had an annoyed expression on his face, but as he needed Stark’s help, he couldn’t do anything but frown. “Trust me, you won’t want to see him.”
“I’m warning you, don’t act recklessly. Don’t provoke Dr. Banner’s temper,”
Fanny warned Tony and continued, “Hulk is an existence that can resist artillery shells with his bare hands. If you don’t prepare at least that much, then don’t joke around with him.”
Tony’s expression remained indifferent, but he did not say anything. He entered the villa, took off his armor, and asked Banner, “Why is the military hunting you?”
“They want to weaponize Hulk’s strength,”
Banner replied, a dark expression on his face. He didn’t hide anything; he was the one in need here, so he should at least cooperate.
“Can’t you fight back?”
Tony asked curiously.
Banner didn’t know where to start. He couldn’t even begin to explain how the one who led the hunt against him almost became his father-in-law. In the end, he just smiled bitterly and shook his head.
Fanny saw Banner’s frustration and explained for him, “Hulk was strong, but he is rather simple-minded and has a bad temper. He only knows how to fight. It’s not that he couldn’t fight back; it’s just that his way of fighting back wasn’t effective.”
“Alright!”
Tony looked at the reserved Banner. He couldn’t believe that this man could destroy a tank bare-handed. His curiosity toward Hulk only grows.
“You can stay here as long as you want. Nobody’s going to pick a fight with you here.”
Banner made a complicated expression at Tony’s sentences. His trust in Tony had been damaged by the mischief that the billionaire had just caused.
“I have seven PhDs. If you need my help with anything, just tell me.”
Banner didn’t want to freeload without giving anything in return. He wanted to give something back with what he had.
“Good!”
Tony still had respect for those he deemed capable, and obviously, Banner was within that category. He nodded and agreed to Banner’s offer.
Banner watched the arrangement for Banner’s residence and decided not to say anything about letting Hulk out in the future for now. The first priority right now was to stabilize the relationship with Banner—to chain Banner with a free and enjoyable life.
This way, he wouldn’t be too anxious when Hulk was brought out.
Fanny didn’t pay any more attention to what happened after that. He only repeatedly told Tony not to provoke Banner to get him to transform into Hulk, lest he prepared to face serious consequences.
Tony relented to Fanny’s repeated warning and took the matter more seriously. He purged any thought to provoke Banner from his mind.
Fanny went to school that afternoon with a relaxed and happy smile on his face. He had gained a massive amount of experience yesterday, and the incident had been solved more or less perfectly.
However, his smile was wiped off his face when he saw Billy, who stared at him with dark circles under his eyes.
“What are you doing?!”
Fanny stepped back, a little scared.
“Fanny, are we best friends?”
“No!”
Fanny shook his head without hesitation.
Billy suddenly shot a sharp look at him and said, “I’m your best friend. There’s something you need to confess!”
“What is it?”
Fanny looked at Billy, having an inkling of what he wanted to ask.
Billy took a deep breath and asked with a serious expression,
“Are you friends with Knight of Divine Punishment?”
“Uh…”
Fanny was slightly stunned. He thought that Billy would deduce that he was the Knight of Divine Punishment. He imagined that the way he suddenly yesterday would be hard evidence for Billy.
Fanny didn’t expect that Billy was so conservative to only guess that he was Knight of Divine Punishment’s informant. He couldn’t hold his bemused expression and said,
“I am Knight of Divine Punishment!”
“You?!”
Instead of doubt or disbelief, Billy had disdain on his face. “Fanny, even if you really know Knight of Divine Punishment and want to help him hide his identity, there is no need to do this.”
“I’m not stupid. If you’re really Knight of Divine Punishment, I’m going to eat my own desk!”
