Marvel Infinity Talent - Chapter 162
Wang Yang found that his ability to sense magic was becoming increasingly powerful, to the point where even the planet Vormir could be perceived.
However, he also noticed that his ability to predict Thanos’ presence was becoming more and more vague.
It seemed that Thanos would arrive during the time when Wang Yang’s predictions were becoming less clear. With Thanos’ growing strength, the ability to foresee things became increasingly blurred.
Clearly, Thanos had obtained more Infinity Stones, causing Wang Yang’s predictions to become uncertain.
Although dealing with Thanos himself wasn’t a big problem with his current strength, Thanos had too many subordinates, posing a significant threat to humanity. While he could transform into countless duplicates, using this ability would weaken him, so precautions were necessary.
Perhaps it was time to contact Nick Fury.
He was the only one capable of dealing with opponents of this level.
Thinking about this, Wang Yang closed his eyes and began to use his powerful mental energy to envelop the Earth and search for Nick Fury’s whereabouts.
However, when Wang Yang opened his eyes, he couldn’t help but look puzzled – Nick Fury had already left Earth?
In the Marvel world, Earth’s technology was formidable. Top-tier spacecraft could perform interstellar flights, but compared to other civilizations, it was still relatively underdeveloped and unsafe.
Now, Nick Fury being away from Earth was indeed very strange.
Wang Yang then expanded his mental energy, shining bright light from his eyes. Soon, he located Nick Fury’s position in outer space.
There was a sizable space station, marked with the insignia of S.W.O.R.D. (Sentient Weapon Observation and Response Division).
Apparently, with the dissolution of S.H.I.E.L.D., Nick Fury had been preparing for S.W.O.R.D.
Nick Fury was still on Earth, but he had changed his appearance to that of a Skrull.
This move by Nick Fury was known to few. It only became public after the Battle of the Endgame, emerging as an organization to deal with extraterrestrial threats.
Thinking about this, Wang Yang raised his hand and began drawing circles, creating a portal leading to the space base.
He stepped in.
“Ring, ring, ring!”
As Wang Yang entered, a piercing alarm echoed around him. Red lights flashed on the walls, indicating the presence of hostile individuals nearby.
The entire outer space polar region seemed to be on high alert.
Not only that, countless red dots aimed at Wang Yang, indicating that they were prepared to launch an attack.
Upon receiving the alarm at the Earth’s monitoring center, Nick Fury immediately took action.
“We have an intrusion, be on guard, prepare to eliminate the intruder!”
Nick Fury gave the order after hearing the alarm.
“Yes!”
Everyone present responded.
“Director, the intruder has been locked on, ready to attack. Should we proceed?”
At this moment, a team member spoke up, projecting an image onto a large screen.
Nick Fury looked at the screen and saw a figure – none other than Wang Yang.
“It’s him!”
Seeing Wang Yang, Nick Fury couldn’t help but feel surprised and shocked. He hadn’t expected that the intruder would be Wang Yang; he thought it might be an extraterrestrial invasion!
After all, there had been continuous detections of alien invasions on Earth recently, but even from the space base, monitoring the entire globe was still a challenge.
“Should we attack?”
The team member frowned and spoke. They had every reason to kill someone who intruded into their base without permission before conducting an investigation.
Moreover, the base’s weapons were already locked onto Wang Yang, ready to attack upon Nick Fury’s command.
“Wait, don’t act for now. Combat personnel, come with me!”
Nick Fury remained silent for a moment, then picked up his weapon and led his team towards the intruder.
If it really was Wang Yang, they wouldn’t stand a chance against him. They had to meet Wang Yang first and then decide.
Wang Yang stood in the corridor, not making a move or hiding, just waiting.
Considering his ability to create magical shields with a simple gesture, the firearms before him weren’t much of a concern.
Even if they attacked immediately, he had ways to defend himself.
More importantly, this time, he wasn’t here to fight Nick Fury but to cooperate.
Swish! Without much delay, the sound of footsteps echoed at this moment. Soon, Wang Yang saw the one-eyed Nick Fury approaching.
“Nick Fury, is this how you treat guests?” Wang Yang said, glancing at the numerous laser targets aimed at him on the walls.
“You don’t look like a guest; you trespassed into my base!” Nick Fury frowned.
“I’m here this time just to bring you some intelligence!” Wang Yang smiled slightly. If not to avoid startling Nick Fury, he might have appeared directly in front of him instead of here.
“Oh? With your strength, you need to bring me intelligence?” Nick Fury was somewhat surprised. Although he hadn’t formally met Wang Yang, he had seen enough of Wang Yang’s power. If they were to engage in a real battle, even utilizing all the forces in outer space might not be enough to defeat him. Besides, Nick Fury knew they were at a disadvantage this time, despite appearing to be in control.
Any weapons would likely be useless against Wang Yang. “Of course, this matter is crucial, so I want to have a good chat with you!” Wang Yang said seriously.
Upon hearing Wang Yang’s words, Nick Fury remained silent for a moment, then waved his hand. At this gesture, all raised weapons and lasers on the walls disappeared.
These things were only a threat to ordinary people. As for Wang Yang, based on the information they had, they were completely useless, better off being put down to avoid conflict.
“Follow me!” Nick Fury said after a moment of silence, leading Wang Yang to his office.
“You can speak now,” Nick Fury said after they entered his office. “Considering your repeated interventions to protect the Earth, I’m willing to treat you as a friend.”
Facing an opponent like Wang Yang, whom he couldn’t control, Nick Fury was a bit serious. However, having encountered such situations many times, he didn’t appear overly uneasy.
“Earth is on the brink of danger, and I need your help!” Wang Yang spoke directly.
This statement caused Nick Fury to squint, but he soon calmed down. After all, Nick Fury had dealt with numerous Earth crises, so besides being spoken by Wang Yang, this situation didn’t seem to worry him.
“Mr. Wang, if that’s all you want to say, you can leave!” Nick Fury expressed confidence that he could handle the situation.
Earth had never been entirely safe since he took charge of the organization created to deal with such circumstances.
Hearing Nick Fury’s words, Wang Yang wasn’t surprised. If he were Nick Fury and heard such unexpected news after dealing with various crises, he might not be concerned either because familiarity with such situations could diminish the fear.
He remained calm. “This time is different; before, it was just minor disturbances!”
“Do you remember the Battle of New York?” Wang Yang shook his head.
“We’re different from the Battle of New York. If it happens again, I believe we can resist and control it!” Nick Fury calmly stated.
Although S.W.O.R.D. had not been fully established at this point, it was no longer comparable to the former S.H.I.E.L.D.
“This time is not like the previous Battle of New York. The mastermind behind this upcoming battle will personally intervene, and the previous military forces were just a small fraction! They can’t even be considered elite. Once that figure descends, Earth will be unstoppable!” Wang Yang warned, “You’d better find some people quickly, including Captain Marvel!”
Upon hearing Wang Yang’s words, Nick Fury was momentarily stunned. Captain Marvel had been gone for decades, and this person knew about it?
Nick Fury’s expression changed. “Mr. Wang, for your statement, you’d better have evidence!”
Nick Fury frowned, not being concerned or bothered by Wang Yang’s previous words. It was only when Wang Yang mentioned Captain Marvel that he became surprised.
Information about Captain Marvel was known only to him and a few Skrulls. Why did Wang Yang know?
“My words are the best evidence!” Wang Yang shook his head.
“Absurd, Mr. Wang. With such casual statements, how can we believe and immediately use our resources? This is ridiculous!” Nick Fury looked at Wang Yang and shook his head.
“Not my words, but what you must have noticed!” Wang Yang looked at Nick Fury.
“Since you’re already preparing this place, you should also know that a powerful force in the universe is approaching here continuously!”
“Recently, you should have detected many cosmic activities near Earth, right?” Wang Yang calmly spoke. “Those are just the beginning, and when the truly terrifying presence appears behind, can you still cope?”
Wang Yang’s words made Nick Fury’s expression become somewhat serious. Each sentence seemed to hit him where it hurt the most.
