Marvel Infinity Talent - Chapter 209
Thor was thrown heavily to the ground, feeling the immense force behind the blow. Fortunately, as an Asgardian, he possessed tremendous strength, so such an impact couldn’t truly harm him. However, he could tell this power was far greater than the Hulk’s.
“A mere Skrull possessing such power? I don’t believe it!” Thor stood again, powerful lightning gathering behind him, propelling him swiftly toward Klebren.
Boom!
The two collided again, but Thor was again sent flying, crashing heavily into the ground. He spat out a mouthful of blood. Klebren’s strength was overwhelming; even his Stormbreaker had no effect.
As Thor lay on the ground catching his breath, he noticed Wang Yan. “Wang Yan, you’re here too!” Thor had initially thought he could defeat this enemy and rescue the other heroes. However, he quickly realized he was no match for Klebren.
“It seems you know about the situation on Earth,” Thor said, acknowledging Wang Yan’s presence.
Wang Yan nodded. “We’re aware, and we’re here to rescue you.”
Even in front of the Skrull deity Klebren, Wang Yan was unperturbed. “I thought I could handle this guy, but his skin is too thick, I can’t even scratch him!” Thor admitted with a bitter smile.
“He has simply adapted to your power,” Wang Yan explained. Perhaps Thor didn’t realize it, but Wang Yan had observed Klebren closely. Initially, Thor was stronger than Klebren, but he had adapted to Thor’s power, making him immune to the thunder’s damage and Thor’s physical strength. This adaptation made him nearly invincible to Thor.
Hearing Wang Yan and Thor’s conversation, Klebren’s face displayed a confident smile. “Do you see? This is the power of evolution! Even the king of Asgard is weak before me.”
“If you submit to me now, it’s not too late!” Klebren’s confidence surged after defeating Thor. Even though Slergurth had fallen to Wang Yan, he remained unbothered, believing he was the true and ultimate deity of the Skrulls.
“Earthling, your submission will allow us to conquer the universe,” Klebren declared, clenching his fist.
“Such strength is not enough to make me submit,” Wang Yan replied, shaking his head. Klebren’s self-assuredness was premature.
“I am truly disappointed in your choice,” Klebren said, shaking his head with a sigh. “But if that’s your decision, may you not regret it before you die!”
Klebren lunged at Wang Yan, his fist creating a compressed air blast. Wang Yan swiftly dodged, a beam of concentrated lightning shooting from his fingertips, piercing through Klebren, creating a gaping wound. But Klebren’s wound healed almost instantly.
Thor was astonished by this. “I’ve seen fast healing, but never this quick,” he thought. The Skrull’s strength, speed, and regenerative ability made him seemingly invincible, making Thor feel utterly powerless.
Wang Yan launched another lightning strike, but this time, it only left a shallow mark on Klebren. “Ha! Do you see? This is evolution’s power!” Klebren laughed. “I am beyond Slergurth. You will only feel helpless and despairing before me.”
Thor, observing this, indeed felt a sense of despair. Even Wang Yan’s formidable power seemed limited against such an opponent. But then, something extraordinary happened. As Klebren charged at Wang Yan, Thor shouted a warning, “Wang Yan, be careful not to engage him directly!”
But it was too late; Wang Yan and Klebren collided. A visible shockwave emanated from their clash, knocking Thor off his feet. When he looked up, he was stunned to see Klebren retreating several steps while Wang Yan stood firm.
“Your power isn’t as great as you think,” Wang Yan stated calmly, flexing his wrist. He had realized from observing Klebren’s fight with Thor that Klebren’s strength, though impressive, wasn’t unbeatable.
“Impossible!” Klebren snarled, clearly shocked by Wang Yan’s resilience.
Thor, regaining his composure, was equally stunned. He knew Klebren’s strength firsthand, yet Wang Yan appeared to handle it with ease. This defied his expectations.
Klebren, shaken but not defeated, focused his energy, the power of the Cosmic Cube amplifying his form. His muscles swelled, his body becoming more imposing.
“You can’t understand my power,” Klebren said, his voice filled with manic confidence. With his new strength, he believed he could crush Wang Yan.
He charged again, his punch generating a shockwave that felt like it could rip the air apart. Even Wang Yan sensed the threat. He raised his hand, summoning the Crimson Bands of Cyttorak to defend.
Boom!
Klebren’s punch shattered the magical shield, forcing Wang Yan to retreat a few steps. “Wang Yan, be careful!” Thor called out, feeling the immense pressure of the attack.
“Your power may be strong, but it is not beyond understanding,” Wang Yan replied, his voice steady despite the clash.
The battle between Wang Yan and Klebren was far from over.
