Marvel Infinity Talent - Chapter 213
Only the five cosmic entities could warrant such attention. Among the most powerful beings in the universe, apart from Galactus, one other being could exude such an aura: Annihilus.
Annihilus was the most powerful and the youngest among the five cosmic entities. He possessed nearly limitless power while he had no physical form in the universe. Annihilus could single-handedly alter the timelines of the multiverse. Although not a traditional god, the existence of life necessitated the presence of Annihilus. As long as there was destruction, Annihilus drew strength from it, ensuring his immortality.
Annihilus could create, modify, and destroy timelines at will. A single thought could obliterate the entire multiverse. His life and death represented the end and rebirth of everything, making him one of the most formidable entities in the universe.
Wang Yan pondered why such a powerful being would appear here. Annihilus’s presence in any universe could cause irreversible damage with any action or thought. Typically, they existed in the voids of the multiverse, their forms as vast as a universe itself.
The arrival of such a terrifying entity left Wang Yan on high alert. Fortunately, he had brought the Infinity Stones. Without them, facing such a formidable being would have been daunting.
As Wang Yan contemplated, a figure materialized before him. This being resembled a robot more than a human, with antennae on his head emitting a glow. In these lights, Wang Yan saw endless universes projected onto him. Annihilus embodied countless universes.
Though Annihilus exuded no aura, Wang Yan sensed a void in his presence. The arrival of Annihilus signified destruction, devoid of life or any detectable energy. The pressure Wang Yan felt was immense, unlike anything he had encountered, not even from Galactus.
However, with the Infinity Stones, Wang Yan felt somewhat assured of facing this terrifying being.
“You are unique,” Annihilus stated, gazing at Wang Yan. His eyes seemed like an endless void, making Wang Yan shiver.
“Thank you for the compliment, great one,” Wang Yan responded politely, cautious of what Annihilus might do next.
“No, I’m merely stating a fact. You are indeed unique,” Annihilus continued, seemingly intrigued by Wang Yan. Few things in the universe intrigued him anymore, but Wang Yan was an exception.
With a wave of his hand, Annihilus conjured a universe before them. “You are a remarkable entity in this universe. Even I cannot perceive your past or future. It’s as if everything about you has been erased. Your existence creates miracles and divergent paths.”
Annihilus was internally shocked. Despite being one of the universe’s most powerful beings, he couldn’t fathom Wang Yan’s essence. A mysterious force shrouded Wang Yan, rendering him unreadable even to Annihilus.
Annihilus had sensed Wang Yan due to the colossal destruction he caused. For others, it might be a mere stellar explosion, but for Annihilus, it represented ultimate destruction, a force he was intimately familiar with.
Observing Wang Yan’s act of destruction piqued Annihilus’s curiosity. How could someone wield such devastating power?
“You possess the power of annihilation, though not entirely pure,” Annihilus remarked after witnessing Wang Yan’s destruction.
Wang Yan chuckled wryly. Using Slegrult’s energy and the planet’s core explosion was still deemed impure by Annihilus?
“I’m naturally not as great as you,” Wang Yan replied humbly.
“I’m curious how you can be so enigmatic yet achieve such feats?” Annihilus questioned.
“I only know magic. As for the rest, I don’t have the answers you seek,” Wang Yan deflected, wary of revealing his origins as an outsider to this universe.
“Let me peer into your heart. Don’t worry; if anything happens, I can revive you,” Annihilus offered, his massive hand reaching for Wang Yan.
Wang Yan’s magical energy surged, teleporting him away from Annihilus’s grasp. “There’s no need for that,” Wang Yan insisted, unwilling to place his life in another’s hands.
Annihilus appeared curious. “Why evade? I only wish to study you. In the multiverse, you are the most unique being. Why fear?”
“I don’t wish to be a research subject,” Wang Yan retorted firmly.
“Oh, if you don’t want me to study you, you need to show some strength,” Annihilus replied. His dominance stemmed from his unmatched power. If Wang Yan wanted to defy him, he had to prove his worth.
Annihilus expected respect born of strength. Without it, Wang Yan was just another specimen for study, missing the chance to become Annihilus’s esteemed servant.
