Marvel Infinity Talent - Chapter 217
Oblivion stared at the scene before him, finding it hard to believe.
This was magic?
Did it block his Oblivion Force?
Even Eternity couldn’t withstand his Oblivion Force.
Although he couldn’t kill Eternity, his power could partially destroy Eternity.
Yet, this kid managed to block his power.
Was there such powerful magic in this world?
He had never seen anything like it.
Nor had he ever seen anyone capable of blocking the Oblivion Force.
Any power, any law, should be obliterated by this force.
Yet now, there was magic capable of blocking it.
It was impossible.
Even Oblivion needed clarification.
If Wang Yan were one of the Five Gods using robust cosmic laws to counter his power, it would be understandable.
After all, their powers were the most primal and could restrain each other. It wouldn’t be surprising.
But using just magic to block his power was unheard of, even across the entire multiverse.
Even Agamotto, the supposed origin of magic, couldn’t achieve this.
Yet, this scene unfolded before his eyes, magic blocking the Oblivion Force.
Wang Yan let out a sigh of relief.
Although he absorbed the universe’s power, it initially couldn’t withstand Oblivion’s strength. However, as the defensive magic shield adapted to Oblivion’s power, it eventually blocked it.
It was a process of adaptation.
He couldn’t fathom how blocking Oblivion’s power left Oblivion himself feeling incredulous.
After all, it was the Oblivion Force.
“This is impossible. How can you withstand it?”
Oblivion looked at Wang Yan, enveloped by the magic shield, in disbelief.
This was a force that the universe itself couldn’t resist.
He was curious how a mere magic shield could withstand his power.
But Wang Yan had no intention of explaining to Oblivion.
“Just like you won’t tell me your existence’s secret, I won’t tell you mine, especially if it means you’d kill me!”
Wang Yan said to Oblivion.
Oblivion wanted to kill him but still expected him to reveal important secrets. Only a fool would do that.
“You disappoint me!”
Oblivion shook his head. He believed no one could defy him, yet Wang Yan did.
“Ding, detected source of Oblivion Force, do you want to integrate it?”
“Integration can enhance existing destructive magic power!”
“Integrate!”
Wang Yan had no interest in listening to Oblivion’s words. It was a fight to the death, and Oblivion expected politeness.
As Wang Yan integrated the power, a mighty destructive force merged into his body.
He saw countless scenes of destruction.
Cosmic explosions, planetary collapses.
Weapons of mass destruction on a planet causing waves of Oblivion Force.
“Ding, Mjolnir’s Lightning has integrated the source of Oblivion Force, evolving!”
“Ding, Hogoth’s Ancient Body has integrated the source of Oblivion Force, evolving!”
“…”
System prompts echoed in Wang Yan’s mind.
He felt a significant change in his magic.
Facing such a terrifying being brought both danger and opportunity.
“I truly admire you, but you squander this chance. I offered you a chance to become my servant, but you refused!”
“In that case, I’ll make my final move. If you withstand it, I’ll leave, and you’ll regain your freedom!”
Oblivion seemed calm as he spoke slowly.
Hearing this, Wang Yan sighed with relief. If he could withstand this attack…
Wang Yan’s magic power surged, strengthening his already formidable magic shield.
“Oblivion in hand!”
Oblivion extended his hand, palm open, seemingly holding a universe.
The universe mirrored Wang Yan’s current universe.
Even a miniaturized Wang Yan appeared above Oblivion’s palm.
It was unclear whether the universe before him was real or the one in Oblivion’s hand.
Wang Yan felt a sense of foreboding.
Looking down, he saw a massive black hand imbued with Oblivion Force, grasping the universe.
And at its center was Wang Yan.
His body felt heavy.
It wasn’t just the endless Oblivion Force but also the cosmic pressure weighing on him.
Wang Yan felt as if countless mountains were pressing down, his body struggling under the immense force.
Even his powerful body was struggling to withstand it.
This was Oblivion’s power?
Wang Yan knew Oblivion was strong, but now he realized he had underestimated him.
Despite his body’s immense strength, nurtured by divine power, it still groaned under Oblivion’s force.
If he remained passive, his body would be crushed by this power.
Lightning arcs appeared on his hand.
He couldn’t remain passive. He had to take the offensive since the force didn’t work on his defensive magic shield.
Crackling.
Mjolnir’s Lightning!
Black and gold lightning gathered in his hand and then shot toward Oblivion.
A brilliant bolt of lightning surged forward.
Compared to Oblivion’s immense power, it seemed insignificant.
Yet, this seemingly weak lightning struck Oblivion’s massive black hand.
It quickly disappeared.
Like a flash of light swallowed by the sea.
Oblivion barely noticed, focused on his hand.
Watching Wang Yan being crushed, losing life and power.
But then he saw lightning coursing through his giant hand.
The hand, imbued with Oblivion Force, began to crack and shatter, blackness dissolving as if absorbed.
Even nearby planets, touched by a hair’s breadth of Oblivion Force, turned to dust. But within this destructive force, the black-gold lightning kept crumbling the hand, weakening Oblivion’s power.
Oblivion’s power couldn’t stop it. Instead, it felt like his power was being absorbed.
Black-gold lightning spread through his hand, appearing in the hand that seemed to hold the universe.
This hand, part of Oblivion, naturally contained the black-gold lightning.
As the lightning coursed through Oblivion’s body, he seemed powerless against it.
“What kind of magic is this?”
Oblivion was shocked by the black-gold lightning’s power.
This force could destroy the Oblivion Force.
Oblivion Force was the world’s most destructive, supposedly unbeatable.
How could such a powerful force exist?
Using his immense power to disperse the black-gold lightning, Oblivion was shocked.
This force, capable of affecting him, hadn’t been seen in eons, yet now it appeared, released by a mortal.
Boom!
In the endless universe.
A black-gold light erupted.
The universe seemed to light up.
A terrifying force spread.
The light appeared and vanished quickly, leaving the universe calm again.
Many advanced civilizations observed the change but couldn’t trace the light’s origin.
At the light’s source, Wang Yan faced Oblivion, who looked different now.
Once shrouded in countless worlds and rotating galaxies, Oblivion now seemed dead.
Black-gold lightning still crackled, making him look eerie.
Explosions occasionally erupted.
Oblivion was no longer composed.
His voice grew sinister.
“Damned human, what is this? Why can’t I get rid of it!”
Oblivion looked at Wang Yan, enraged.
He thought it was just a strange magic. Using Oblivion Force to dispel it caused explosions.
His immense power made the black-gold lightning explode continuously.
All he could do was use his power to erode it slowly, but it still drained his strength.
Causing him immense pain.
Even affecting his soul.
He might not have endured if not for his strong will as one of the Five Gods.
“Withdraw your magic, and I can forgive everything!”
Oblivion said to Wang Yan.
Wang Yan smiled wryly and shook his head, saying, “I can’t withdraw it!”
Initially, he could withdraw and dispel the magic, but it became uncontrollable after Mjolnir’s Lightning fused with Oblivion Force.
He couldn’t dispel it.
And dispelling such a powerful force for a god who wanted to kill him was not wise.
“You…”
Oblivion was furious. He couldn’t believe this mortal couldn’t dispel it.
If not for the time it would take to remove the force, weakening him, he wouldn’t plead with a mortal.
As one of the Five Gods, he naturally had enemies. If they knew he was weakened, they would attack.
“Help me dispel it, and I’ll leave and never return to this universe. How about that?”
