Marvel Infinity Talent - Chapter 223
Mephisto has never been a demon who would forcibly intervene.
His forte is in scheming. How could he possibly take action against such a powerful being?
Moreover, this powerful chaotic magic could be absorbed after he gets the Darkhold and still be timely.
At that point, he would cause great trouble for Kamar-Taj, making their lives unbearable.
A cold smile appeared at the corner of Mephisto’s mouth.
As he stepped forward, he was about to walk into a spatial rift and return to his hell.
In hell, even the Sorcerer Supreme wouldn’t be his match.
But just before Mephisto could step into the spatial rift, he suddenly felt a sense of unease and quickly retreated.
A sharp aura struck like the air was about to be torn apart.
Rip!
Without any surprise, the blade of space tore through the space, even ripping apart the spatial rift he had created.
“Isn’t it a bit late to leave now?”
At this moment, a voice slowly reached his ears.
Seeing his spatial rift being torn apart, coupled with the voice, Mephisto’s expression changed drastically.
“Impossible! How could you see through my intention to leave?”
Mephisto was in disbelief. Earlier, he had released such a dense red energy to shield others’ perceptions.
That was his most potent magic, capable of interfering with others’ perceptions; even the Sorcerer Supreme was no exception.
How did this guy know he was about to escape?
“You can’t leave!”
Wang Yan said slowly.
The Sorcerer Supreme had faced Mephisto multiple times.
The Sorcerer Supreme had already recorded Mephisto’s character and magic.
While studying the Book of the Vishanti, he also read many magic books.
He had come across this information by chance.
Now that Mephisto was before him, how could he quickly let the other party leave?
Mephisto initially tried to distract Wang Yan, but he quickly realized that the surroundings were like mirror fragments passing by, indicating that he had entered the mirrored space of Kamar-Taj’s sorcerers.
He also felt a sense of separation from the hell dimension.
If he were still on Earth, he wouldn’t have this feeling.
Mephisto’s mouth twitched.
He never liked fighting head-on or, more accurately, fighting strong opponents.
Even when facing weaker opponents, he usually exploits their weaknesses.
Such calculations gave him a great sense of accomplishment.
But now, he had no other choice.
“Do you think you can gain the upper hand just by cutting off my connection to hell?”
Mephisto slowly shook his head, emitting more intense red energy from his body.
These energies coalesced into numerous skeletons.
In the blink of an eye, it was as if they had entered hell, with bones and skeletons everywhere and a series of shrill cries echoed.
Click, click, click!
A series of eerie sounds of bone collisions followed.
Suddenly, a skeletal hand emerged from the bones and grabbed Wang Yan’s foot, followed by another hand holding his other foot.
“Die!”
Mephisto said slowly, his hand glowing with an orange-red flame, heading straight for Wang Yan.
Wang Yan looked at the countless skeletons on the ground, his expression calm.
He had no intention of dodging Mephisto’s attack. With a wave of his hand, the Ring of Raggadorr appeared.
In his other hand, the Sword of the Vishanti appeared, glowing with purple light.
Boom!
The orange-red flame collided with the Ring of Raggadorr and exploded.
Wang Yan swung the Sword of the Vishanti at the skeletons grabbing his feet, freeing himself once more.
Then, with a stomp, he rushed straight at Mephisto, slashing with the Sword of the Vishanti.
As Wang Yan’s Sword of the Vishanti slashed down, Mephisto turned into a mass of red energy and dissipated.
From a distance, Wanda and Vision, protected by the Shield of Seraphim, watched the intense battle and the countless wailing skeletons on the ground, feeling slightly nervous.
“Doesn’t the name Mephisto sound familiar?”
Vision seemed curious about the name Wang Yan had called the creature.
Having studied magic much, Wanda also knew about many legendary creatures.
“Mephisto? Could it be the Hell Lord?”
Hell, Lord!
At this moment, an observer appeared with a giant head in the void. Although Wang Yan was in the mirrored space and not on Earth, observers were not hindered.
Otherwise, they wouldn’t be considered the most potent onlookers in the universe.
“What a powerful kid, able to hold his own against a dimensional lord!”
The observer was a bit shocked.
After seeing Wang Yan’s battle with Annihilation in the universe, he had come to Earth. However, Wang Yan was so mysterious that the observer almost gave up.
No one had ever been so mysterious until now.
Just as he was about to give up, he noticed something happening here and came over.
Initially planning to keep watching, he suddenly sensed something.
The observer’s expression changed. Despite their great power, they were no match for the five great deities, so he quickly used special powers to hide.
Then, a graceful figure descended from the sky. If Wang Yan saw this person, he would immediately recognize them.
It was Eternity.
The observer, trembling with fear under advanced technology, couldn’t believe he had witnessed a battle between Annihilation and Wang Yan and now saw Eternity.
“Why would Eternity come here? Does he also know about the battle between Wang Yan and Annihilation?”
Although Annihilation destroyed all information, many had seen it beforehand, including the observer and Eternity.
Eternity had encountered Wang Yan before Annihilation and was very curious about Wang Yan, so he paid close attention. This time, Annihilation’s appearance attracted little attention from powerful races.
But Eternity noticed quickly, though, by the time he did, the battle between Wang Yan and Annihilation had ended.
However, learning that Annihilation suffered at Wang Yan’s hands delighted Eternity.
Eternity and Annihilation were two sides of the same coin, with a poor relationship.
Due to Annihilation’s unique nature, his power surpassed Eternity’s, making Eternity feel inferior.
But he didn’t expect that Wang Yan, whom he favored, would avenge him.
Though he hadn’t seen it personally, he wanted to see Wang Yan’s strength.
Arriving on Earth, his powerful mind spread out.
Eternity paused, intending to check on Wang Yan, but noticed something where the observer had disappeared, though there was nothing there.
Eternity took a deep, interested look.
The observer, sweating, felt as if he had been seen through, but realizing Eternity didn’t intend to pursue it, he breathed a sigh of relief and turned his attention below.
Not that he didn’t want to leave, but he feared provoking Eternity.
Compared to such powerful beings, they couldn’t fathom their thoughts.
So, he decided to remain unchanged.
Eternity, uninterested in the observer, focused on Wang Yan’s battle.
Satisfied, he hoped the dimensional lord would reveal Wang Yan’s strength.
Initially intrigued by Wang Yan as a human, he didn’t pay much attention.
But after Wang Yan’s battle with Annihilation, he was eager to see his strength.
Dimensional lords varied in strength, some even surpassing Eternity.
For example, S’Byll, whose entire Crimson Cosmos was under his control, could exert immense power within his domain.
Though this lord wasn’t as strong, he wasn’t someone a human could compare to.
Eternity wanted to see Wang Yan’s abilities, especially after learning that he had caused trouble for Annihilation.
So he stood in the void, watching.
In the mirrored space, Wang Yan was unaware of being observed.
Currently, he was engaged in a fierce battle with Mephisto.
Mephisto’s magic and soul manipulation as a Hell Lord turned the mirrored space into his domain, casting numerous soul-disturbing spells.
Even Wang Yan found it tricky.
Sudden skeletal wails directly stimulated his spirit, testing even his strong soul.
If not for Mephisto’s frequent use of such tactics, Wang Yan would have defeated him by now.
But Mephisto was a seasoned fighter. Even the Ancient One couldn’t quickly kill him, showcasing his powerful methods.
Despite trapping Mephisto in the mirrored space, Wang Yan couldn’t quickly subdue him.
Even using Ego’s planet only caused minor trouble for Mephisto without inflicting significant harm. Killing Mephisto was beyond him.
“Kid, you can’t handle me!”
Mephisto said slowly.
