Marvel Infinity Talent - Chapter 224
For a sorcerer like Mephisto, it’s practically impossible for any magical attack to kill him.
Even the Ancient One couldn’t do it.
So even now, trapped in Wang Yan’s mirrored space, it was the same.
This young sorcerer in front of him couldn’t achieve what the Ancient One couldn’t achieve.
And as he gradually altered this mirrored space, he gained the upper hand. Although not as powerful as Wang Yan, he wouldn’t be easily defeated.
“The Ancient One couldn’t kill me, and neither can you!”
Mephisto spoke slowly.
Wang Yan took a few steps back, his face darkening.
The countless skeletons on the ground emitted ghostly wails, starting to affect Wang Yan.
“Your master also wanted to kill me, but she never could. You might even lose your soul. Let me leave now, and we can still live in peace!”
Mephisto’s voice was distant, laced with allure.
Even Wang Yan seemed to believe it gradually.
“Open your mirrored space. Even if you don’t, I can gradually assimilate it and break out.”
Mephisto seemed satisfied with Wang Yan’s expression.
No one could escape his control over souls, and Wang Yan was no exception.
“Looks like this sorcerer isn’t that impressive.”
The observer saw this and shook his head, disappointed. He thought that someone who could give Annihilation trouble must be powerful, but Wang Yan seemed easily controlled.
Eternity, observing this, found it fascinating.
“Looks like Wang Yan is experiencing Mephisto’s power,” Eternity murmured.
Mephisto was now completely isolated from hell, his power from hell diminishing.
His most excellent power lay in controlling minds.
So Wang Yan often missed his magical attacks due to being subtly influenced, magnified in battle.
Wang Yan seemed controlled, but it was a strategic move to turn the tables.
If he could break free, it would be Mephisto’s end.
The observer didn’t understand this, puzzled by why Annihilation was at a disadvantage against this young sorcerer.
Even Eternity was paying attention to him now.
“Does this kid have something special I missed?”
Seeing Eternity’s expression, the observer was surprised, thinking he might have missed something crucial.
Boom!
At that moment, a loud crash sounded.
Countless skeletons were blown away, and scarlet chains wrapped around Mephisto.
Mephisto’s expression changed. He thought Wang Yan was under his control, but Wang Yan had cast a spell.
Now, seeing the magic chains coming, he gathered more magical power.
The scarlet chains tightened, absorbing his magic energy.
Mephisto reformed in the distance.
“All your attacks are futile. Why bother?”
Mephisto seemed unaffected, not weakened by the prolonged separation from hell.
He smiled confidently at Wang Yan.
“Really? But I can clearly feel your weakness,” Wang Yan said calmly.
Mephisto’s eye twitched at Wang Yan’s words.
Although he had absorbed some power from the Darkhold, he had yet to digest it fully. Prolonged combat would be troublesome.
His strength was dwindling, and the altered mirrored space was a facade to pressure Wang Yan.
Usually, anyone would feel immense pressure and give up, but Wang Yan hadn’t.
He seemed to understand Mephisto’s weakness, waiting for his power to deplete to kill him.
Slash!
Before Mephisto could react, a spatial blade sliced through him, his body torn apart.
Mephisto dispersed into energy, and the last thing he saw was a figure identical to Wang Yan stepping out.
Eternity, watching, was surprised.
The seemingly disadvantaged Wang Yan had turned the tables, now in complete control.
A duplicate of Wang Yan, even with the same power, had cast a spell that further drained Mephisto’s energy.
Facing an unbeatable opponent, Wang Yan analyzed and exhausted him, even if it put him at a disadvantage.
He had reversed the situation, and Annihilation wouldn’t stand a chance.
Wang Yan, a human with great power and talent, impressed Eternity.
The last time he saw Wang Yan, he found him solid and talented but didn’t realize his terrifying potential.
Now, seeing Wang Yan again, Eternity felt a sense of dread from his boundless talent.
The observer noticed the change, unable to see as clearly as Eternity, but realized Mephisto was at a disadvantage.
Mephisto, a Hell Lord, was weaker outside his domain, growing weaker over time on Earth.
As a dimensional lord, his power declined away from his domain, but he still received energy from it, preventing him from being exhausted to death.
Reforming after being defeated by Wang Yan, Mephisto’s expression grew sinister.
“I didn’t expect you to be more troublesome than the Ancient One. The first in years to make me feel this way!”
“But you better hope your loved ones never cross my path, or you’ll know true pain!”
Mephisto threatened, glancing at Wanda and Vision, protected by the Shield of Seraphim.
Vision, though a robot, had deep ties with Tony Stark. Wanda’s brother, Quicksilver, was still alive.
“Threatening my loved ones? Truly a demon who loves to toy with minds!”
Wang Yan’s clone merged back into him.
“Fine, since I can’t kill you, I’ll let you go. But remember, I’m always at Kamar-Taj. If you seek revenge, come anytime. But don’t blame me if you get a warm welcome!”
Wang Yan was unfazed by Mephisto’s anger, confident with the Ancient One at Kamar-Taj.
Mephisto’s expression stiffened, realizing Wang Yan was from Kamar-Taj.
His face turned green. The sorcerers of Kamar-Taj were formidable, capable of invading hell and causing trouble quickly.
If Wang Yan entered hell and wreaked havoc, Mephisto would be in serious trouble.
Hell granted him power; without it, his strength would plummet.
Realizing he might be the one needing to worry about revenge, Mephisto’s expression changed.
Defeat wasn’t a concern, but losing his domain was.
After a moment of silence, Mephisto forced a smile.
“Sorcerer, how about we negotiate…”
