Marvel Infinity Talent - Chapter 264
At this moment, the members of the Celestial Order began to suspect that this human sorcerer might not be from their universe. Otherwise, how could he be so assertive? If this continued, they feared they might not win and could even die here.
“What should we do?” the members of the Celestial Order began to regret provoking this Earth sorcerer.
“Send out a distress signal and see if anyone can respond,” the Judge decided after a moment of silence.
The Celestial Order was a fearsome presence in the universe, responsible for the destruction and creation of countless civilisations. It had connections with some powerful beings. If it could reach someone, it might be rescued and perhaps even helped.
Meanwhile, Captain Marvel navigated around the two combatants and reached the S.W.O.R.D. base.
“Captain Marvel, what are you doing here?” Nick Fury asked in surprise upon seeing her.
“Fury, what is that monster?” Captain Marvel asked, seeking information about the terrifying entity.
“It seems to be one of the Celestial Order, known for destroying and creating civilizations throughout the universe,” Fury explained. During his time in space, he had gathered some information about the universe.
“So that’s the Celestial Order. I didn’t expect to see one here,” Captain Marvel said, surprised.
She knew that throughout the years, the Celestial Order was infamous for their destruction and punishment, bringing about slaughter. Few had seen them. Now, encountering one near Earth, she realised that they likely intended to destroy Earth but were being stopped by Sorcerer Wang Yang.
Otherwise, Earth would have been doomed.
Suddenly, alarms blared within the base.
“What’s happening?” Fury asked, frowning at the sudden commotion.
A S.W.O.R.D. agent operated the base’s equipment and reported, “Sir, we detected a powerful energy wave spreading!”
Fury’s face changed as he looked at the screen. Though they couldn’t feel it directly, the screen showed a powerful energy wave spreading.
Fury didn’t know what this energy was but knew it couldn’t be good.
Captain Marvel frowned as the energy spread, shaking countless planets and reaching an endless part of the universe. This place was a somewhat ethereal realm at the edge of space and time, where infinite chaotic energy gathered, seemingly non-existent.
Within this vast energy was a nebula that seemed to contain another universe, looking mysterious and fantastical. This was the resting place of a god.
As the energy wave reached him, a golden light from a distant space woke him. As this god awakened, it was like universes were being destroyed and created within his gaze, and powerful energies exploded around him.
After a while, he fully regained consciousness. If Wang Yang were here, he would recognise this as the mighty Eternity. Usually, only avatars of Eternity roamed; his proper form slumbered here.
Sensing the signal, Eternity realised, “A distress signal from the Celestial Order? Interesting. With their strength, how could they be in such dire straits?”
The Celestial Order was one of the strongest beings in the universe, and when combined, they could rival gods. Thus, even gods typically avoided provoking them.
“Who in this universe would dare confront the Celestial Order?” Eternity wondered. Though not closely allied, they had some connections.
Given the Celestial Order’s trouble, Eternity couldn’t ignore it. He also wanted to see who had caused them such distress.
After a brief contemplation, Eternity’s body merged into space, appearing in another universe.
“This universe again!” he thought, recalling someone who had once troubled Annihilation here and eternity frequently visited this universe in avatar form. The human sorcerer Wang Yang was unique, with no counterparts in other universes.
“The Celestial Order must have encountered that human sorcerer,” Eternity mused, quickening his pace toward the signal.
Upon nearing the signal, he realised it was coming from Earth.
“Did they really provoke that sorcerer?” he wondered, arriving outside the solar system.
Seeing the formidable space barrier, Eternity recognised Wang Yang’s energy. The Celestial Order had indeed provoked Wang Yang. He couldn’t understand why they hadn’t learned from Annihilation’s misfortune.
“Can’t they provoke anyone else?” he thought. “Don’t they know even Annihilation suffered at Wang Yang’s hands?”
If not for their role in managing the universe, Eternity would have left them to their fate. He entered the barrier, hoping to mediate without things getting too out of hand.
Reaching the solar system’s centre, he saw the now small Celestial Order. They had indeed merged but were reduced in size, likely due to Wang Yang’s influence.
Sensing Eternity’s power, the Celestial Order turned, overjoyed at his arrival.
“Great Eternity, save us! This man has nearly driven us to extinction!” the Judge pleaded.
Eternity glared at them. “Silence!”
The Celestial Order, startled by his reprimand, fell silent. This wasn’t how they expected things to go.
Eternity I turned to Wang Yang, noting the sorcerer’s increased power and divine energy.
“Wang Yang, we meet again,” Eternity said calmly. He couldn’t believe how much Wang Yang had grown, nearly able to match him now.
The Judge trembled. He had never spoken to anyone like this, not even the other five life entities. Yet here he was, speaking so politely.
Wang Yang opened his eyes, recognising Eternity’s presence. “Eternity, you’re here for them?” he asked, guessing Eternity’s intent.
“Yes, could you spare them for my sake?” Eternity admitted, asking politely.
Wang Yang shook his head. “If they had only provoked me, I wouldn’t mind giving you face. But they used Earth as an experiment, spreading Celestial seeds and now want to destroy its civilization.”
Eternity’s face changed upon hearing this. The Celestial Order had many planets to experiment on, yet they chose Earth and wanted to destroy humanity. He knew their usual practices, absorbing life energy during the god-birth stage, wiping out all life on a planet.
Eternity usually didn’t care if planets were destroyed. With countless planets in the universe, losing a few meant nothing. But Wang Yang was protecting Earth, making this personal.
He might have pleaded for the Celestial Order if it had been another issue. But now, he felt they had brought this upon themselves.
“You reap what you sow. If they did this, I won’t interfere,” Eternity said, conceding to Wang Yang.
