In the underground training room of Avengers International Corporation, Hawking removed his armor and sat a terrified Eddie down on a chair.
“Eddie, tell me, what exactly happened?”
“Well, boss?”
Just regaining some composure, Eddie is about to recount everything to his idol and benefactor, Hawking, when he sees Hawking’s true face upon removing his armor. Eddie was stunned.
He never imagined that the renowned superhero, known as War Machine, Armored Knight, and Golden Flash, who once saved him, was his boss’s boss, Hawking, controlling the content of the Daily Bugle.
“Don’t be surprised, it’s me. Now, tell me everything.”
If Eddie had been just an ordinary newspaper reporter, he wouldn’t have the clearance to know Hawking’s real identity.
But now, infected by Venom, Eddie was likely to be recruited into Hawking’s company, and that was a different matter altogether.
“Yes, boss, a few days ago I…”
After collecting his thoughts, Eddie recounted everything that had happened at the Life Foundation to Hawking.
Hawking’s eyes lit up after hearing the story.
“So, it’s that company.”
She remembered from watching Venom’s standalone movie that a company had discovered symbiotes in outer space and brought them to Earth to study, hoping to use them to cure various terminal illnesses by merging them with humans. They had even secretly lured unsuspecting homeless people into their labs for cruel human experiments, but all attempts had failed.
Symbiotes cannot perfectly bond with just any organism, and if the conditions aren’t met, the host organism usually dies within a few hours.
While watching the movie, Hawking focused on the plot and ignored the company’s name.
However, what excited him wasn’t just dealing with the inhumane Life Foundation to gain some “justice points.”
The unfolding situation closely resembles the plot of the Venom movie.
If true, it meant another symbiote named “Riot” was on Earth, planning to summon countless others to invade.
What did this mean?
It meant that if he could stop Riot’s plan, it wouldn’t just be about thwarting an alien invasion; it would certainly count as saving countless lives on future Earth, indeed earning many justice points.
He felt that with these justice points, combined with those he had previously accumulated, and he could unlock a new hero template.
“Let’s verify with the source first.”
Coming back to reality, Hawking smiled at Eddie and instructed:
“Let that alien inside you, Venom, come out momentarily.”
Perhaps all of this was just his wishful thinking. There might not be an army of symbiotes invading Earth, similar to how Venom arrived alone on Earth in the third Spider-Man movie.
In the underground training room of the Avengers International Corporation, Hawking, after removing his armor, set a frightened Eddie down on a chair.
“Eddie, tell me, what exactly happened?”
“Uh, boss?”
Just as Eddie was beginning to explain the situation to his idol and benefactor, Hawking, upon seeing Hawking’s true face beneath the armor, Eddie was utterly taken aback.
He had never imagined that the famed superhero known as War Machine, Armored Knight, and Golden Flash, who had once saved him, was his boss’s boss, Hawking, the man behind the Daily Bugle.
“No need to be surprised, it’s me. Go on, tell me everything.”
He wouldn’t have known Hawking’s real identity if Eddie had been an ordinary reporter.
But now that Eddie was host to Venom, he likely would be recruited into Hawking’s company, and his case was exceptional.
“Yes, boss, a few days ago I…”
After gathering his thoughts, Eddie relayed everything that had transpired at the Life Foundation to Hawking.
Upon hearing the details, Hawking’s eyes lit up.
“So, it’s that company.”
Hawking recalled from the standalone Venom movie that a company had discovered the symbiotes in outer space and brought them back to Earth, hoping to merge them with humans to cure various diseases. They even secretly lured unsuspecting homeless individuals into their labs for cruel experiments, all of which had failed.
Symbiotes cannot bond perfectly with any host; if compatibility isn’t met, the host often dies within a few hours.
Hawking had mainly focused on the movie’s plot and hadn’t noticed the company’s name.

The unfolding events were similar to those in the Venom movie.
If accurate, it meant another symbiote named “Riot” was also on Earth, planning to summon countless others for an invasion.
What did this mean?
It meant that if he could thwart Riot’s plan, not only would he be stopping a potential alien invasion, but he would surely earn a massive amount of justice points for saving countless future lives.
He felt that with these justice points, combined with those previously accumulated, and he could unlock a new hero template.
