Marvel: Randomly Load a Protagonist Template - Chapter 80
“Hey there, Kurama!” Hawking greeted the Nine-Tails with a friendly tone despite the seal between them.
Locked within the cage, Kurama slowly rose and scrutinized Hawking, disbelief in its eyes.
“How can this be? It’s impossible.”
For over a thousand years, Kurama had never encountered such a situation. Nothing seemed changed, yet the Jinchuriki had suddenly transformed, and it was clueless about how this had happened.
“Could it be an illusion? But only the Sharingan, specifically the Mangeky? Sharingan, could cast one powerful enough to affect me,” Kurama thought, puzzled. Kurama would have noticed even if Madara used an illusion to control it.
Unlike Gamabunta, Kurama was locked in a spiritual space, seeing Hawking’s soul clearly and confirming he was not Naruto, yet something about the Jinchuriki had changed.
“Nice to meet you. I’m Hawking. I hope we can work well together,” Hawking introduced himself amiably.
Kurama snarled with a cold laugh, “I’m not sure what’s happened, but if you want to use my power, I’d be happy to lend it to you. If you tear down that seal on the cage, I can give you all my power, allowing you to do whatever you wish.”
To Kurama, the change in the Jinchuriki was inconsequential; breaking the seal and regaining freedom mattered.
“Tearing open the seal is no issue, but not now. There will be plenty of opportunities later,” Hawking responded to Kurama’s offer without outright refusal.
Even if he fully opened the seal and became entirely transformed by the Tailed Beast, it wouldn’t be a problem because everything would revert to its original state once the loading time ended. When he loaded again, everything would be as it was before.
This was like his experiments with the Harry template, where he threw away or broke the wand. Once the loading time was over, the discarded or broken wand would vanish, and when he reloaded the Harry template the next day, it would reappear intact in his hand.
So, he figured that even if he fully unleashed the Tailed Beast, the seal would still be intact the next time he loaded, and Kurama would still be locked within it.
Moreover, he wasn’t Naruto; with multiple bloodlines added to his own, total transformation by the Tailed Beast might not be as uncontrollable as it was for Naruto.
If time was synchronized with the Naruto universe, he could wait a year or two for Naruto and Kurama to reconcile. He could also enjoy the Kurama Mode without much hassle.
“Oh? You’re quite different from other Jinchuriki,” Kurama noted, observing Hawking’s sincerity and surprise in his tone.
All Jinchuriki feared its power, trying various means to seal and extract it, but this new Jinchuriki seemed unafraid.
He even wanted to fully release its power, not knowing that completely breaking the seal and releasing its power would end with Kurama escaping from the Jinchuriki.
And the only outcome for a Jinchuriki who loses their Tailed Beast is death!
“Time’s almost up; let’s leave it for today.”
Feeling that the loading time was about to end, Hawking quickly exited the spiritual space.
Moments later, the Naruto template ended.
“Multi-Shadow Clone Jutsu!”
Hawking, mimicking Naruto’s hand seal, again performed the Shadow Clone technique.
Suddenly, three thousand shadow clones appeared around him in the forest, densely filling it.
The Multi-Shadow Clone Jutsu, an advanced version of the Shadow Clone technique, creates many tangible shadow clones at once. However, because the clones share the caster’s chakra, the more clones created, the weaker each one becomes.
With the overlapping of bloodlines, he could create three thousand clones at once, even without Kurama’s chakra, relying on the combined effects of the Uzumaki, Saiyan, and Wizard bloodlines.
“This is a training cheat tool!” After the shadow clones dispersed, their memories would return to the original body, making them perfect for learning and training.
The fatigue from training, however, would also return to the original body.
Most ninjas cannot create that many clones, maintain them for a long time, or endure the collective fatigue from many clones, generally not using shadow clones for training as Naruto did.
Although he wasn’t as thick-skinned or steadfast as Naruto to endure fatigue from hundreds of clones, creating fewer clones—maybe just a dozen or two—should be manageable for learning magic, ninja techniques, and developing new moves.
“Yo, you okay, Kurama!” Hawking called out to the Nine-Tails across the seal with a cheerful greeting.
Kurama slowly stood up inside its cage, eyeing Hawking incredulously.
“How is this possible? This can’t be.”
Kurama, who had lived for over a thousand years, had never encountered such a situation. Nothing seemed to have changed, yet the Jinchuriki had suddenly switched, and it was clueless about how this transformation had occurred.
Is it an illusion?
However, the only thing that could make Kurama fall for an illusion would be the Sharingan, specifically the Mangekyo Sharingan.
Yet even if Madara had used an illusion to control it, Kurama would have noticed something.
Unlike Gamabunta, Kurama was locked in a spiritual space. Seeing Hawking’s soul clearly could confirm he was not Naruto, yet it could also confirm that there was a change in the Jinchuriki.
“Nice to meet you. I’m Hawking. I hope we can cooperate well in the future,” Hawking introduced himself with a friendly demeanor.
Kurama snarled and laughed coldly:
“Although I’m not sure what happened, if you want to borrow my power, I’d be willing to lend it to you.
If you’re willing to tear down that seal on the cage, I can lend you all my power to do whatever you want.”
For Kurama, the change in Jinchuriki was optional. What mattered was breaking the seal and regaining freedom.
“Tearing open the seal is certainly no problem, but not now. There will be plenty of opportunities later,” Hawking responded to Kurama’s offer without outright refusal.
He figured that even if he fully opened the seal and transformed utterly under the influence of the Tailed Beast, it wouldn’t be a problem because once the loading time was over, everything would revert to its original state. When he loaded again, everything would be as it was before.

Although he wasn’t as thick-skinned or steadfast as Naruto to endure fatigue from hundreds of clones, creating fewer clones—maybe just a dozen or two—should be manageable for learning magic, ninja techniques, and developing new moves.
Hawking dispelled the shadow clones and loaded the Harry Potter template, then sat cross-legged on the ground and closed his eyes.
He intended to enter the spiritual space again using the method Naruto used to see if he could encounter Voldemort’s soul while under the influence of the Harry Potter template.
The scene shifted, and an old-fashioned train station appeared before him.
“This must be Harry’s spiritual space,” he thought.
He looked around and soon spotted the only public bench in the station’s center. He walked over to squat down next to it.
Underneath the bench lay a grotesque, ugly little creature, a fragment of Voldemort’s soul that was torn away when Voldemort tried to kill baby Harry and was rebounded by the curse.
“It’s good that it’s here, perfect.”
Seeing that Voldemort’s soul fragment indeed existed in the spiritual space, a smile spread across Hawking’s face.
He still couldn’t access the memories within the soul fragment, but as long as it remained, he would eventually have the chance and means to do so.
And if he could access Voldemort’s memories, he would learn most of the magic known to the wizarding world.
“Next, we’ll wait until tomorrow.”
Leaving the spiritual space and waiting for the Harry Potter template to end, Hawking created several shadow clones to stay and practice ninja techniques. At the same time, his main body used the Flying technique to head to the company.
After the Naruto template ended, all that was left were the Uzumaki bloodline traits and memories. The hand seals for the Shadow Clone Technique were easy to learn and replicate from memory.
However, other ninja techniques weren’t straightforward, like the Rasengan, a high-difficulty technique that required time and practice to master based on memory.
Back in the Naruto world, Naruto, having just failed to retrieve Sasuke and returned to Konoha with his teammates, suddenly stopped while they were traveling.
“What’s wrong, Naruto?”
Yamato, Sakura, and Sai stopped when they saw Naruto halt.
Naruto looked up incredulously and said, “I… I can’t sense Kurama’s chakra anymore!”
“What?!” Yamato exclaimed in shock.
If Kurama were lost, he would be in deep trouble when they returned.
Naruto quickly sat down and closed his eyes: “Let me check.”
In the spiritual space, staring at the empty cell, Naruto’s expression was complex; he didn’t know whether to be happy.
“Kurama is indeed gone.”
Opening his eyes again, Naruto scratched his head and reported to Yamato.
