Marvel: Randomly Load a Protagonist Template - Chapter 94
“The mission isn’t over yet. I can keep fighting all day!”
While Hawking and Nick Fury were talking, the remaining cockpit was suddenly kicked open. Out stepped a man in a tight black suit with a prominent backside, holding a pointed shield.
He let out a roar and charged at Hawking with lightning speed, unleashing a series of vicious attacks aimed at Hawking’s vital points.
“Even brainwashed by Hydra, that never-give-up attitude hasn’t changed. You’re still the same, Captain America!”
Seeing Hydra’s Steve trying to engage in close combat, Hawking smiled and shook his head. Without moving his body, he blocked all of Hydra Steve’s attacks with just two fingers.
Apparently, although the skinny Steve didn’t get the original super-soldier serum, he was injected with Hydra’s version after being controlled by them.
So now, he had transformed into a muscular man with a suit turned black, bearing Hydra’s emblem. The shield, originally vibranium, was now a pointed metal shield.
But his techniques were useless against Hawking’s absolute strength and speed.
No matter how skilled you are, you can’t move a mountain with a feather.
“Mr. Hawking, if possible, please don’t kill him. He should be Steve Rogers from the Howling Commandos of World War II, possibly controlled by Hydra using special methods.”
Sitting in the car, Nick Fury carefully observed Steve and quickly recognized him as the long-lost Steve Carter had been looking for.
Despite being much more muscular, as a top-level agent, he could still recognize people.
Especially with the Hydra Stomper that disappeared at the same time.
“Sleep Spell!”
With a flick of his fingers, Hawking deflected Steve’s shield, accelerated, and touched Steve’s forehead, putting him to sleep with a spell.
Even if Fury hadn’t spoken, he wouldn’t have killed Steve. He didn’t always act out of self-interest; he had some sense of humanity.
Steve and Carter’s tragic love story wasn’t easy; either he was frozen, or she was in another dimension.
“Director Fury, you owe me another favor!”
After knocking out Steve, Hawking handed him to Nick Fury with a smile.
Nick Fury paused and reluctantly said:
“Alright, consider it another favor I owe you.”
“Haha, just kidding, Director Fury. You’re so serious. Do I seem like someone who holds grudges?”
Hawking laughed and then used a few awakening spells to revive Peter and Jessica.
“Director Fury, since the mission is complete, we’ll be leaving now.”
With a wave, he and his team left the crossroads.
After Hawking and his team left, Nick Fury murmured:
“This guy, I can’t quite figure him out anymore.”
He forced himself to focus, knowing his attention shouldn’t be on Hawking but on the upcoming plan.
Placing Steve in the back seat, he opened his communicator:
“Hill, notify Coulson to initiate phase two of the Hydra eradication plan!”
While waiting for loyal S.H.I.E.L.D. agents to arrive, he looked at the broken Hydra Stomper and sighed:
“Broken into pieces like this, not sure if it can be repaired.”
Meanwhile, standing at a distance and observing the situation, Tony Stark got back into his car and sped away.
Halfway down the road, he spoke in his car:
“Jarvis, call Pepper.”
“Yes, sir.”
A magnetic male voice responded immediately.
Moments later, the call connected, and Tony instructed:
“Pepper, cancel all my engagements for the next two months, including military ones. I need to focus on developing new technology!”
The recent battle inspired him greatly, reminding him of the Hydra Stomper that his father had always been fixated on. He decided to miniaturize the arc reactor and create a suit powered by it.
However, he didn’t like the large, clunky, and ugly Hydra Stomper. He wanted to make a sleek, body-fitting suit far surpassing his father’s invention.
And he suddenly found himself interested in superheroes. Maybe, after making the suit, he could also become a superhero, which would be quite cool.
The thought excited him a bit.
Meanwhile, after a post-battle debrief with his team, Hawking sent them home.
He then found a secluded spot, transformed into Naruto, and used summoning and reverse summoning techniques to go to Mount Myoboku.
Since gaining the Naruto template, he visited Mount Myoboku daily to familiarize himself.
Regarding the disappearance of the Nine-Tails in Naruto’s body with each load, Naruto didn’t mind.
After injuring Sakura using the Nine-Tails’ power in a battle with Orochimaru, he vowed never to use its power again, no matter how dangerous.
Of course, as he got closer to the toads, he made some attempts.
For example, re-signing the contract with the toads, writing his name on the scroll, hoping to travel to the Naruto world even after the template expired.
But it didn’t work; summoning techniques had no effect after the template expired.
So, he concluded that summoning, a common time-space ninjutsu in the Naruto world, couldn’t transport him between different worlds.
He even doubted learning the Flying Thunder God technique could achieve such a feat.
After all, the Marvel universe is vast, with countless worlds, and a small summoning technique couldn’t possibly bridge that gap.
He believed the panel’s magical system was a bridge during the Naruto template load.
“Chief Toad, how did you like the tobacco from my world?”
“Toad Guang, practicing dual swordsmanship again? Come on, let’s spar.”
“Master Jiraiya, your kitchen utensils are too outdated. I’ll give you a set of the finest from my world; they’ll make your dishes ten times better.”
“Toad Li, here’s the best lipstick from my world, a token of our friendship!”
As Hawking walked, he chatted with every toad, maintaining good relations with each.
