Marvel Rise of Lord God - Chapter 20
After breaking free, Stane fixed his gaze on Ajie, realizing through the battle that this individual posed the greatest threat to him.
They were at a standoff for a few seconds, but Stane, unable to contain himself, gathered his strength and charged at Ajie.
Hawk’s Flip! Ajie, like a great bird, leaped over Stane’s attack, his movement light and fluid, starkly contrasting with his earlier combat style.
After dodging the attack, Ajie lifted his right leg for a Scorpion Tail Kick, striking Stane on the back and sending him flying like a football.
Snake Fist, Twin Dragons from the Sea, Arching Palm—Ajie muttered with each attack as if he was casting skills, embodying the saying that every attack of a powerful man is a skill.
The continuous assault left Stane dizzy and rolling on the ground, experiencing a level of defeat he hadn’t faced since his mutation.
His outer shell became pitted under the onslaught, unable to regenerate fast enough to match Ajie’s attack speed.
During this unexpected lull in the battle, Black Widow rubbed her eyes, hardly believing the situation.
All were considered super soldiers, but why was there such a disparity?
Hawkeye, even more so, quietly stowed his bow. As a formidable marksman, he began to doubt his bow for the first time seriously.
Two creatures immune to his shooting had appeared so quickly; what had he been doing all these years?
Tony, slightly better off, was endlessly pondering how to design an armor to counter Ajie.
The melee, usually thrilling and hormone-stimulating, caused onlookers to doubt their lives as Ajie and Stane fought on increasingly.
Mount Lu Rising Dragon! Ajie shouted, and a fiery red qi formed into a dragon, launching Stane into the air.
Crow Flies the Plane! Ajie, soaring up, landed heavily on Stane, pressing him deep into the ground.
Hm? Why isn’t there any movement?
Ajie blinked, stepped off Stane, and noticed no signs of activity from him.
Playing dead? Ajie wondered, sensing that Stane’s life force hadn’t wholly extinguished.
Sledgehammer Crushing! Ajie raised his right hand high and then slammed it down, smashing Stane’s head into the ground.
Highly corrosive pus dripped from Ajie’s fist onto the ground.
Hmm~ Ajie nodded in satisfaction; Stane was likely finished.
Qi Yun watched Ajie’s actions, covering his face with his hand. Is this man my kin? It felt embarrassing; perhaps a reforge was in order…
After completely breaking Stane’s resistance, Ajie grabbed one of Stane’s fingers, dragging him up from the ground.
Tony descended from the sky, his face mask opening, his eyes complex as he observed Ajie.
“Hey, I believe you just wanted a model,” Tony sighed.
“Of course, why would I lie to you?” Ajie spoke cheerfully. “Don’t worry; you’ll soon be able to defeat this thing, too. Just came out to stretch a bit, wasn’t a waste of time.”
Tony twitched the corner of his mouth, unsure how to respond to Ajie’s confidence.
After the battle, those hoping to scavenge came along—S.H.I.E.L.D. Deputy Village Chief Coulson and military representative General Ross approached from both sides.
“This friend, interested in joining the military?” Ross asked Ajie, his eyes shining after watching the battle.
“Joining the military would be a waste of your talents,” Coulson said with a smile, poking at Ross before extending his hand, “Hello, I’m Coulson from S.H.I.E.L.D.”
“Alright, I won’t chat now; I have to go back for dinner,” Ajie patted Tony, then ignored Coulson and Ross, dragging Stane’s body out.
Ross, wholly ignored, was not pleased, while Coulson remained calm, accustomed to rejections.
“Stop!” Ross suddenly shouted. “The monster’s body is military property. You can go, but leave it behind!”
Ajie’s ears twitched, ignoring Ross, who seemed a bit too inflated in his demands.
Ross, again ignored, signaled his men to surround Ajie reluctantly.
Ajie did not mind their movements, considering them too weak to concern him.
Seeing no reaction from Ajie, Ross thought he had leverage, believing Ajie wanted to avoid conflict with the military.
Ross didn’t plan to monopolize Stane’s body but expected a share of the spoils, as was the unwritten rule.
Under his constant commands, the soldiers completely blocked Ajie’s path, but with the precedent of the Hulk, Ross still left a gap in the encirclement.
Meanwhile, Coulson reached out to stop the agents who also wanted to advance, simply watching Ajie from a distance.
Ajie had no intention of showing Ross any respect; he could ignore a swarm of ants, but if the ants blocked his path, he wouldn’t go out of his way to avoid them.
Basic Strike! Ajie muttered dispassionately as the energy burst from his fist.
The force sent the line of soldiers flying, the residual energy continuing forward, smashing into a distant tank and wrecking it.
Watching the vacuum zone created by Ajie’s punch, the soldiers were stunned.
They just watched as Ajie dragged the body to his destination and then vanished into thin air.
Ross, in a fit of urgency, was utterly helpless, not to mention that he had no means to control Ajie himself, but given Ajie’s ability to appear and disappear at will, Ross had no way to contend.
Tony, watching Ajie’s actions from behind, remained silent. He felt that harming innocents wasn’t right, but firstly, he had no position to intervene, and secondly, he disliked these people who disregarded human life.
They weren’t doing anything admirable.
After silence, Tony noticed Ross and Coulson’s eyes on him.
These guys must think they’re hyenas, ready to bite at anything.
Tony rolled his eyes, unwilling to deal with them, and flew to his home, now a ruin.
These people also had their limits; they wouldn’t dare enter without permission, even if the place was just ruins now.
After all, the legal department of Stark Industries wasn’t for show. If they dared to come in, Tony would have been ready to give Ross a beating, and it might have been this humiliated military representative who would have to apologize in the end.
