Marvel Rise of Lord God - Chapter 21
Returning quickly from his victory, Ajie placed Stan on the ground, then just looked at Qi Yun with a goofy smile.
Holding his head, Qi Yun waved his hand, signaling Ajie to go about his business. This guy’s intelligence wasn’t low.
Although intelligence doesn’t directly correlate with Qiqi, rapid response and memory capabilities always enhance learning and memory, which generally means Qiqi can’t be too low.
Could all of Ajie’s enhancements be focused on combat? This was a topic worth pondering.
After thinking for a bit and coming up with nothing, Qi Yun snapped back to reality, and with a wave of his hand, Stan’s corpse vanished in front of him.
The Main God space had a specialized disassembly and extraction room powered by Qi Yun, but the room was slightly better in precision and duration. Specialized tasks for specialized places.
Just as Stan’s body was sent off, another portal appeared at home, and Qiqi, the little one, stepped out from it.
Seeing Qi Yun, Qiqi’s expression brightened significantly.
Her whole body moved quickly, and she trotted up to Qi Yun, bowing, and then began speaking.
“Sir, you’ve returned. How’s the plan going? Do you need my help for anything?” Qiqi looked up at Qi Yun expectantly.
Speaking of this, Qi Yun felt a bit gloomy. After tasting success in Resident Evil, he had set his sights on other derivative worlds, which were generally more accessible to bullies than native and open worlds.
Recently, however, several of the derivative worlds Qi Yun visited had begun to develop a world consciousness. Plus, since derivative worlds are generally more miniature, the world consciousness has a smaller area to control. Still, it exerts robust control over it, resulting in Qi Yun being immediately discovered and firmly kept out every time he arrived.
Repeated failures had kept Qi Yun at home, as going out without a new strategy would be a waste of effort.
In its heyday, the Main God space would have responded to such situations with brute force or by sending in spies.
Ordinary candidates weren’t easily detected, and once inside the world, it became more complicated for the world to control everything. If enough people went, occupying the derivative world was a matter of time.
Unfortunately, Qi Yun couldn’t pursue either of these options now.
In terms of power, he wasn’t yet strong enough to forcefully breach a world consciousness’s defenses.
And people-wise, even with maximum recruitment efforts, the Main God space didn’t have more than a hundred suitable candidates.
Losing even one meant a reduction in combat power, which is why Qi Yun was particularly annoyed with Stan, who wasted his talents on trivialities.
Having entered the Main God space, was Stark Industries that necessary?
Returning to the main point, aside from these two methods, Qi Yun hadn’t found a suitable approach yet.
Shaking his head to clear his thoughts, Qi Yun turned to Qiqi, whom he trusted the most, although the comparison was just with Ajie, who had a brain entire of muscles.
“Seeing you so happy, was the invitation successful?”
“Indeed,” Qiqi nodded. “The Awakener Alice has agreed to join the Main God space. With her joining, the connection to the Resident Evil world has stabilized completely, and this yet-to-develop world consciousness is as good as ours.”
“Well done,” Qi Yun patted Qiqi’s head.
Qiqi’s eyes narrowed happily, resembling a little kitten. “Also, sir, I’ve found other Awakeners in the Resident Evil world who might suit us.”
“Really? Who?” Qi Yun was curious.
“Red Queen, the AI who looked very much like Alice when she was young,” Qiqi spread her hand.
With precise control, the magic in Qiqi’s hand took on the shape of the Red Queen.
“That’s good news. But you don’t need to focus too much on this. Once the world connection stabilizes, just send her an invitation. There is no need for you to make another trip,” Qi Yun stood up and said.
Qiqi nodded vigorously, pleased that Qi Yun was looking out for her. “So great.”
Then, Qiqi turned slightly to look at Qi Yun. “Sir, is something bothering you?”
“It’s the same issue. To avoid killing the goose that lays the golden eggs, we need to reduce our missions in the Resident Evil world, but I haven’t found other suitable worlds yet,” Qi Yun sighed, clearly troubled.
Indeed, no matter what, the first bucket of gold is always the hardest to get. Now, they had miners but no mine vein in hand, which was frustrating.
“Sir…” Qiqi thought momentarily, then slowly began, “What if we take an elite path? Both Ajie and I can help.”
“I’ve thought about the elite route, but we don’t have many elites,” Qi Yun said worriedly. “Investing energy to materialize the world core and then struggling to
Snatching it from the world consciousness might mean losing out big time.”
“But, sir, we don’t need to succeed in one go,” Qiqi continued to explain her idea.
“The previous Main God was a top power in his world with countless legends under his command. Even with such forces, the first few world conquests were mostly losses. If we lose once now, we can’t afford it!”
“So, why not change our approach? Place the world core at the end and start by sending elite candidates as anchors to establish preliminary connections.”
“Midway, send more people to occupy important points in the timeline quickly, and when the time is ripe, materialize the world core and take it all at once! Plus, after a long operation, some characters within the world might also become our allies.”
Listening to Qiqi’s explanation, Qi Yun stroked his chin, thinking this might be the most reliable plan.
“We can pick one point and try it out first,” Qi Yun looked at Qiqi.
“It looks like you can’t rest lately. Let’s select the right candidates for this trial together,” Qi Yun decisively told Qiqi.
“Understood,” Qiqi smiled in response.
From afar, Ajie, who was boxing, watched Qi Yun and Qiqi converse, feeling slightly confused.
He felt even more dazed, especially after Qiqi gave him a thumbs up behind Qi Yun’s back.
However, as a straightforward thinker, he decided not to think about it since he couldn’t understand it.
After discussing this with Qiqi, Qi Yun added a new “profession” to the list of candidates in the Main God space—Pioneers.
According to Qi Yun’s idea, this category should consist of two types of people: those who already had sufficient power before joining the Main God space and those who overgrew, had potential, and were capable. After specific selection criteria, these candidates could also be enhanced.
