Marvel Rise of Lord God - Chapter 25
After leaving the inn, Ajie felt a bit downhearted.
Walking the streets of Konoha with his head hung low, he wanted to fight the powerful entity Alice had discovered.
However, he knew he had to prioritize the mission. Qi Yun and Qiqi cared deeply about this mission; even if he couldn’t help much, he couldn’t afford to be a drag.
“Alright!” Ajie mentally pumped himself up to lift his spirits, “No more wasting time! Ajie! First, let’s find out about this village’s combat strength. Let’s go!”
After encouraging himself, Ajie looked around, realizing he didn’t know where he was. Where was the village’s military presence?
Faced with several forks in the road and finding himself unable to ask for directions or see a map, Ajie picked up a stick from the ground and stood it upright at the crossroads.
“Decided then, whichever direction the stick falls, that’s where I’ll go!” Ajie declared, letting go of the stick.
The stick initially tilted in one direction, but a sudden gust of wind blew it off course, eventually pointing towards a road leading out of the village.
“Ha, so be it,” Ajie chuckled, picking up the stick and heading in that direction.
This decision-making method occurred several times along his journey, and following the stick’s guidance, Ajie finally found himself in a more secluded area.
This was a training ground of Konoha, frequented mainly by practicing ninjas and generally not visited by others.
… to think he could stumble upon his target like this, Ajie’s ten luck points weren’t just for show.
Thud, thud, thud… Before he even entered the training grounds, Ajie could hear rhythmic, continuous thuds.
Curious, Ajie peered toward the noise and saw a sharply defined figure gritting his teeth, furiously punching a wooden post, seemingly venting frustration.
The relentless punching had soaked his bandages with blood, but he seemed oblivious to the pain, not stopping at all.
Ajie watched for a while. He had no sensory skills, but his intuition told him this person was not a minor threat, even though he didn’t seem very strong.
Thump, thump, Ajie stamped his foot twice to make his presence known.
“Huh?” The person, Guy, stopped and turned his head towards Ajie. A civilian?
“Did you get lost? This is a training area,” Guy said, wiping sweat from his forehead, his mood not the best.
Ajie looked the man up and down, noting nothing extraordinary except for an outrageously green outfit. Doesn’t that bother him?
“No, um, are you a ninja of this village?” Ajie slowly asked.
“Yes, do you need help with something?” Guy asked, eyeing the muscular figure before him.
“No, no, I don’t need help. But… do you need a sparring partner?” Ajie stepped forward, flexing his muscles, and asked.
“Huh?” The guy was confused. How did this stranger have such a strange train of thought?
“Training alone on a wooden post is so boring. Come on, let’s have a match,” Ajie gestured invitingly.
Guy listened to Ajie’s words, paused, then burst into laughter, his laughter growing louder.
“Ha ha ha ha, you’re right!”
Rock Lee! I will find a way to help you recover! In the name of Konoha’s Blue Beast!
After laughing, Guy looked at Ajie, not sensing any chakra from him; he was just a man who loved to exercise. “Alright, I’ll spar with you, but be careful. My punches are heavy!”
Ajie smirked, “Is that so.”
Whoosh, in a blink of an eye, Ajie vanished from the spot, his speed leaving only an afterimage.
How is that possible?! Moving as fast as the Body Flicker Technique with just physical prowess?!
Guy crouched slightly, alert, thinking he might have encountered a master. I love challenging masters!
Ajie’s displayed strength ignited Guy’s fighting spirit!
Boom! Ajie teleported behind Guy and punched the ground, creating a vast crater with the terrifying force of his punch.
“Focus now. It’ll be boring if you zone out,” Ajie turned and said softly.
“Ha ha, looks like you’re not ordinary either,” Guy clenched his fists, chakra beginning to flow again, “Come on! I won’t lose focus again!”
Ora ora ora! Ajie hurried around Guy, throwing fast punches.
Mucha mucha mucha! With full firepower, Guy accurately tracked Ajie’s movements; their exchange of attacks and defenses was like a textbook on taijutsu.
Boom! Their fists collided in mid-air, creating a terrifying blast of air that sent the wooden posts on the training grounds flying.
.
“Ha! Thrilling!” Ajie flew backward onto the ground, his body heated from the fight, “Warm-up’s over. I’m getting serious now. If you can’t keep up, just say so.”
“Ha ha, youth does not allow for retreat. Bring it on!” Guy shouted.
Despite their earlier exchange, Guy hadn’t used any ninjutsu, and while Ajie felt strong, the other wasn’t a ninja, so he had to be careful.
Boom—a burst of fiery red aura from Ajie, filled with combativeness.
Under the influence of this aura, Ajie’s eyes turned a deep red as if blood-filled.
Feeling this aura, Guy no longer held back, adopting a stance, chakra rapidly circulating within him.
Eight Gates Released Formation, the First Gate, Open!
The Second Gate, Rest Gate, Open!
The Third Gate, Life Gate, Open!
Having opened three gates, Guy erupted with an impressive aura, like a tidal wave, each wave more robust than the last.
A red and a blue energy aura intertwined in the air, continuously clashing to create a terrifying whirlwind. From a high vantage point, it appeared as a dual-colored tornado.
Luckily, this training ground was not within the main body of the village; otherwise, the impact of this battle would have drawn a crowd of ninjas.
