Marvel Rise of Lord God - Chapter 33
Time rewound to ten minutes earlier.
Ajie and Alice arrived smoothly at the Chunin exam site.
Everything proceeded as Tony had predicted until the moment the illusion appeared.
White feathers began to fall from the sky, and those who saw them felt their eyelids start to fight each other as if waking from a slumber.
Under these circumstances, Alice’s mental power burst forth at the front row of the auditorium, sweeping across the entire venue.
This was an illusion Alice had never seen before, and she didn’t know the standard countermeasures. Alice might not solve the problem, but she can handle the one causing it.
Her raging mental power flowed upstream against the illusion, directly impacting its caster.
Under the terrifying pressure, the ninja releasing the illusion bled from all orifices and collapsed limply to the ground.
The appearance and breaking of the illusion shocked everyone present.
No, the only ones not surprised were the two sitting in the center, the Third Hokage and the Fourth Kazekage.
Hiruzen Sarutobi sat silently for a moment before turning to the Kazekage.
“What, you’re not going to show yourself? Even in front of your teacher, you hide?” Hiruzen’s tone was complex.
Silence again dominated the exam site.
The Fourth Kazekage removed his hat and mask, “Teacher? You might have mistaken me for someone else.”
The moment he saw the face, Hiruzen stood up in surprise.
Uchiha Itachi?!
No! This was the Transformation Technique! Hiruzen quickly realized, but his reaction was too late.
Two hands emerged from the Kazekage’s cloak, not Orochimaru, but his subordinate, Kidomaru!
The hands formed seals, and a purple barrier extended from Kidomaru as the anchor point.
Four others marked the same points, and the Sound Four had all emerged, deploying a massive barrier technique that tightly sealed the entire exam site.
A similar barrier also stretched from the other side of the Sound Four, forming triangles that trapped Hiruzen and others while isolating them from the rest of the venue.
The shock spread even further; a Sand ninja, Kankuro, looked around, finding no extra Sound ninja in the exam site.
Orochimaru had betrayed them!
Not good! Gaara! Thinking this, Kankuro turned towards the center of the arena.
Gaara’s condition was terrible; when the barrier was activated, he seemed to be negatively affected, quickly falling unconscious.
In a matter of moments, Shukaku, the One-Tail within Gaara, took over his body and managed to break free.
All of this happened in less than half a minute, and just as Ajie’s message was sent out, Shukaku began its rampage.
Near the wall, Tony hadn’t yet grasped what was happening when he suddenly came under attack.
A huge tree erupted from the ground, lifting Tony.
The top of the tree, as if alive like a snake, tightly coiled around Tony.
The horrific constriction made the armor emit sounds of strain.
“Tony? Tony? Can you hear me? Respond if you hear me!” Alice called several times but received no response from Tony.
She exchanged a glance with Ajie, and then they both rushed out from the stand.
“Ajie! You break the barrier! I’ll take care of that monster!” Alice said as she charged towards Shukaku.
“No problem!”
Ajie unleashed his full power, and a fiery red energy soared into the sky.
Explosive Energy — Fist Technique — Crouching Tiger!
A massive, ferocious tiger roared through the air and then slammed into Kidomaru.
It was unclear how Orochimaru had brainwashed these guys,
As Kidomaru stood unflinchingly against such an attack as if saying, “If you can, kill me; otherwise, don’t think of escaping.”
With Ajie’s full-powered strike, the Four Purple Flames Formation was filled with cracks. Just one more hit and it would shatter.
At that moment, Ajie felt a chill on the back of his neck and instinctively abandoned his attack.
A cold glint swept past the back of Ajie’s neck at that moment; had he not reacted, it would have been a direct hit.
After the interruption, the Four Purple Flames Formation repaired itself, returning to its original state.
Ajie landed on the ground and looked towards the attacker, a ninja with long white hair. Despite his lifeless eyes, the fierce energy was palpable, even to Ajie.
Crack, in the stands, Kakashi crushed a railing in his hand.
The person below was his father! Sakumo Hatake!
However, Sakumo Hatake died many years ago, driven to suicide by the relentless pressure of public opinion.
Seeing Sakumo Hatake, Hiruzen Sarutobi truly became unsettled, tearing off his Hokage coat to reveal his full armor beneath.
“Orochimaru! To dare play with the dead! You will surely face divine retribution!”
“Sakumo Hatake?” Ajie rotated his arms. A good name, a worthy opponent.
Unfortunately, the figure before him seemed to be a counterfeit or an incomplete version, which dissatisfied Ajie.
But this was also good news; he needed to hurry and find Tony, dragging his feet as a major crisis was unfolding!
Eight Gates Released Formation, the First Gate, Open!
Ajie immediately employed the incomplete version of the Eight Gates Released Formation in actual combat, and red became the brightest color on the exam site.
Explosive Energy — Strength! Explosive Energy — Speed!
Ajie’s internal energy exploded twice in succession, dramatically increasing his strength.
With fiery red eyes, Ajie locked onto Sakumo Hatake, who crouched low, and the next second, he vanished from sight.
Only two and a half people in the venue could keep up with Sakumo Hatake at full speed: Ajie, with his eyesight and experience, Alice with her omnipresent mental and psychic powers, and Hiruzen, who had to half-guess and half-understand.
Sakumo Hatake’s attack was simple yet effective, wielding a sword that seemed to cut through everything, another ninja who didn’t quite seem like a ninja.
Enhanced Ajie was only slightly slower than Sakumo Hatake, a gap that was erased due to the special circumstances of their identities.
Ajie’s goal was to shatter the Four Purple Flames Formation, while Sakumo Hatake, a top-tier assassin, was reluctantly playing the role of a bodyguard, which was quite frustrating for him.
In this situation, Ajie quickly found an opportunity.
Fist Technique — Crouching Tiger!
A slightly smaller, fierce tiger leaped from Ajie, nimbly striking Sakumo Hatake, shattering him directly.
But in the next moment, Sakumo Hatake restored himself to his original form, causing Ajie to furrow his brow. An immortal body?
