Marvel Rise of Lord God - Chapter 36
As the world consciousness was making its decision, the fight within Konoha truly began. Whether by a twisted sense of humor or mere coincidence, Might Guy found himself facing his father, Might Duy, upon entering the battlefield.
Might Guy, facing the father he knew to be deceased, feel a storm of emotions?
“Guy, you’ve grown up,” Might Duy remarked, looking at the “Blue Beast” of Konoha before him.
To ensure the revived fighters’ combat effectiveness, Orochimaru had not entirely erased Might Duy’s memories but had placed numerous restrictions on them.
“Dad,” Guy managed to say, showing his signature bright smile and his white teeth shining. “Long time no see!”
“Yes, it has been a long time. You’ve grown so tall. Sadly, this isn’t the time for chatting or training, eh? Think of me as just checking your homework,” said Duy with a sense of resignation.
He could fully control only his mouth; his influence over the rest of his body was minimal.
Eight Gates Released Formation, the First Gate, Open!
Both fighters activated their signature technique—the Eight Gates, a family tradition.
The sound of chakra bursting forth rang out simultaneously, their synchronization impeccable.
The Second Gate, Heal Gate, Open!
The Third Gate, Life Gate, Open!
The Fourth Gate, Pain Gate, Open!
The Fifth Gate, Limit Gate, Open!
The Sixth Gate, View Gate, Open!
Having opened six gates each, their combat power reached unimaginable levels, but Guy was beginning to struggle to keep up with the pace of gates opened by his father.
The power Might Duy wielded with his current body wasn’t as overwhelming as before; each gate opened was slightly weaker, but the sheer number still managed to bridge this gap.
The Seventh Gate, Wonder Gate, Open!
Might Duy’s aura surged, surpassing his son, Might Guy.
Guy hesitated slightly, knowing well that he couldn’t match his father with only six gates opened, but he had no choice. If not him, then who?
Might Duy was also striving hard, and under his interference, the Eighth Gate remained closed.
Seizing the opportunity, Guy’s form streaked forward, drawing a trail of chakra wings, green glowing gloriously.
Morning Peacock!
Guy immediately used his signature move, countless punches enveloping Might Duy, the friction creating flames as spectacular as a peacock’s feathers.
Unfortunately, with seven gates opened, Duy’s speed was overwhelming, and Guy’s punches hit nothing but air.
Then, a fist as large as a sandbag rapidly enlarged in front of Guy, who quickly raised his arms to shield his head.
Crack! The sound of bones breaking was heard as Guy was sent flying backward, moving faster than he had advanced.
After being knocked down, Guy spat out blood and struggled to his feet. The aura around his body greatly diminished.
Might Duy’s assault followed relentlessly, and even with the regenerative powers granted by the Eight Gates, Guy was nearly overwhelmed.
Left with no other option, it was time for a desperate gamble.
Boom—green energy surged like flames fueled by gasoline.
Explosive Energy! This was A’jie’s basic skill, which Guy had learned after long exposure; indeed, in physical combat, Guy was a true genius.
Riding the wave of surging chakra, Guy reversed his fortunes, compressing the chakra into his body, following the path of the Seventh Gate.
The pain made Guy involuntarily scream, “Even if I die here today, I will uphold my ninja way! Father, I will never give up! This is my youth!”
Hearing his son’s cry, Might Duy was deeply moved; his son had truly grown into a formidable man.
The Seventh Gate opened as if blown apart by Guy’s reckless charge, his aura transitioning from green to blue—a blue so vivid it stood as tall as four men and as wide as two.
“Roar, my youth!”
Seventh Gate—Daytime Tiger!
A highly compressed air bullet in the shape of a tiger blasted from Guy’s hands, crossing the entire battlefield.
Everyone on the path of the strike moved aside. Might Duy did not dodge; he controlled his body fully, preventing it from even thinking of evasion.
Orochimaru couldn’t micromanage every individual, and after a struggle of wills, Duy raised his right fist and struck the center of the Daytime Tiger.
A massive explosion erupted within Konoha, and the front of the Daytime Tiger visibly caved in.
But without the buildup or preparation, Duy’s ordinary punch couldn’t match Guy’s desperate attack.
After a brief standoff, the Daytime Tiger ultimately broke through Duy’s defenses, striking him accurately.
The chakra, like countless tiny blades, ground Duy down to even smaller than dust.
The instantaneous attack exceeded the limits of the Reanimation Jutsu, and Might Duy’s soul returned to where it belonged, rendering all of Orochimaru’s prepared spare bodies useless.
To summon Might Duy again, everything would need to start from scratch.
Barely keeping himself upright, Might Guy noticed his father’s relieved departure, and then his body swayed, and he collapsed to the ground.
With Tony Stark’s help, Rock Lee hurried to the scene, rushing to Guy and becoming a cushion for him.
Upon touching him, Lee found Guy’s usually solid muscles, which were now as soft as cotton, with many bones inside broken.
“Master Guy!” Lee cried out in utter distress.
Guy struggled to turn his head towards Lee, his eyes blinking open and shut.
“Lee, get out of here. This battlefield is no place for you,” whispered Guy, his voice as faint as a mosquito’s.
Wiping his face, Lee, with a determined look, picked up Guy.
Energy swirled rapidly within his body, this movement granting Lee greater strength and speed.
Inhale—Exhale!
After a brief moment of breathing, Lee also entered an Explosive Energy state. His sixth sense heightened to its limits.
Everything around him seemed to slow down. Even the gaps in the combined ninja techniques became apparent.
With these gaps, Lee barely made his way out of the battlefield, kicking aside any Sound Ninjas who tried to stop him.
In a very short time, less than ten seconds, Lee made it back to the rear.
Then, both he and Guy collapsed together.
Having witnessed true power, Tony Stark’s inflated ego calmed down, and beside him stood a makeshift platform constructed from spare parts of three battle armors.
Enduring the pain and tearing sensation in his body, Tony placed Lee and Guy on the platform in the middle of this makeshift construct.
Tony temporarily converted into a medic with the help of JARVIS, managing to provide emergency treatment for those leaving the battlefield. Further treatment, however, would have to wait until after the fight was over.
