Marvel Rise of Lord God - Chapter 38
Kakashi, now equipped with the Mangekyo Sharingan, has seen a significant enhancement in his abilities. Kamui proves effective both offensively and defensively, yet with only one Sharingan eye, he’s limited to holding off Sakumo Hatake without being able to assist his teammates.
Nearby, Jiraiya and Orochimaru, once as close as brothers, are now locked in a fierce battle in Sage Mode, each intent on taking the other’s life—a stark contrast to their past closeness.
Orochimaru, having experienced countless reincarnations, has refined countless ninja techniques. In terms of sheer power, he has far surpassed Jiraiya.
The only reason Jiraiya is holding on is that Orochimaru’s Sage Mode is not as potent as Jiraiya’s, given the different levels of support from their respective sages.
Despite this, Jiraiya is in grave danger, his once-white hair nearly beaten off his head by Orochimaru.
“Bald and not stronger, this isn’t how it’s supposed to work!” Jiraiya might joke.
With a hiss, Orochimaru’s tongue retracts into his mouth, tasting the blood, a sign that Jiraiya won’t last much longer.
In a brief respite to catch his breath, Jiraiya scans his surroundings, his heart sinking. Konoha might already be half destroyed, and the situation is grim for maintaining even the remainder.
While Jiraiya contemplates a breakthrough, the situation for others is not much better.
A’jie is overwhelmed and can’t spare a moment to assist. The summoned Hashirama Senju, though not on A’jie’s level in raw power, is frustratingly resilient, especially with his environmental manipulation.
As the fight continues, A’jie feels like he’s in an ancient forest where every tree and leaf is an enemy.
Plus, with the ninjas’ high mobility and stealth, A’jie is utterly exasperated, highlighting his significant flaw—lack of large-scale attack capabilities.
“Darn it!” A’jie, eyes bloodshot, shatters a nearby towering tree, “Come out, you coward!”
The forest continues to grow, with no response to his challenge. A’jie regrets that Hashirama Senju doesn’t fall for it; revealing himself would change the dynamics completely.
Aside from A’jie, Alice is the only other person who seems to have an upper hand.
Her vast psychic powers and resistance to illusions allow her to see through most genjutsu.
However, Tobirama Senju, the Second Hokage, is not only skilled in illusions but also proficient in various Water Release techniques and spacetime jutsu.
His Flying Thunder God Technique particularly limits Alice, requiring her to dedicate a substantial portion of her attention to defence.
Fortunately, Alice’s psychic strength has no glaring weaknesses. Otherwise, anyone else might have perished numerous times by now.
Flying Thunder God — Slash! Tobirama appears from a tricky angle and strikes at Alice.
The blade nearly touches Alice before being deflected by her psychic force, but before she can locate Tobirama, he vanishes into thin air again.
Psychic Storm!
A massive psychic force twists the surrounding trees into a storm with Alice at the centre.
Tobirama, relying on his spacetime abilities, remains unscathed, and Alice has yet to determine what he uses as markers for his Flying Thunder God Technique.
The Third Hokage, Hiruzen Sarutobi, fares worse and is forced to defend against attacks from Uchiha Izuna. Age has taken its toll on Hiruzen, and the title of ‘Professor of the Ninja World’ now carries a hint of reluctance.
Thankfully, Izuna’s Mangekyo Sharingan abilities aren’t overwhelmingly tyrannical, allowing Hiruzen to maintain the battle with various complex jutsu.
However, these complex jutsu drain chakra dramatically, and Hiruzen’s reserves are nearing critical lows.
Tony Stark, not engaged in the fight and sheltering several injured behind Konoha’s lines, is practically defenceless without his armor, lacking even the combat ability of a newly graduated Genin.
Watching the battle, Tony conceives a new idea for adapting his combat mode better to fit the fighting in the main god space. As a mechanic reliant on pre-prepared armor, this situation feels like a disgrace.
With this idea, Tony begins to see a potential improvement, but regardless of his thoughts, the current crisis must be addressed first.
As time passes, the situation slides further towards disaster. Kakashi, Jiraiya, and Hiruzen are all reaching their limits, and a breakdown by any one of them could trigger a total collapse.
Even with A’jie’s slight advantage against Hashirama, adding any more pressure would be too much for him to handle.
Boom! Boom!
Boom!
Just as the situation nears the collapse of the original walls of Konoha, loud explosions occur alongside countless trees being snapped at their trunks.
Arriving last among the Legendary Sannin, Tsunade, renowned for her incredible strength, makes her entrance unimpeded by mere trees.
As for her hemophobia, the world consciousness puts considerable effort into creating “coincidences” to bring her here, ensuring her condition doesn’t interfere.
If someone had a prophecy, they’d see a cloud of dark energy over Tsunade’s head, obscuring her consciousness and temporarily making her forget her fear of blood.
