Marvel Rise of Lord God - Chapter 47
As Tony was preparing for his next mission, Qi Yun successfully unraveled the tangled timeline of the Naruto world. Qi Yun completely dispersed the original world consciousness. Honestly, this world consciousness was the most unpredictable one Qi Yun had ever encountered, harboring intentions to destroy its world, much like wildly throwing nuclear bombs onto its land when losing a war.
After Qi Yun’s repairs, the world was primed for suitable participants to engage in trials, though its stability was still subpar, necessitating time for self-repair.
Qi Yun stretched his limbs and returned to the Main God Space, where Qiqi and Ajie sat together, looking very serious as they stared at the screen.
“This is already the fourth batch. What kind of world is this?” Qiqi scratched her head, baffled by the irrational situation.
“I should go and take a look. If we keep sending missions like this, everyone will die,” Ajie quickly added.
“What do you mean everyone’s going to die? What are you talking about?” Qi Yun approached Qiqi, curious about their conversation.
Upon hearing Qi Yun’s voice, Qiqi jumped up from her chair, surprised and pleased to see him.
“Lord, you’re back~”
“There’s no need to be so formal. What’s going on? Why are you two so tense?” Qi Yun looked at the screen, not seeing any issues, but a few participants hadn’t returned from the mission world, a standard cost for exploring new worlds.
“Lord, it’s happened four times now, sixteen participants, and not one has returned,” Qiqi explained with a frown.
“A high-level world discovered?” Qi Yun asked, knowing that attempting to break into a high-level world was still too much of a stretch for the current state of the Main God Space.
“No, according to multiple checks, it’s just a normal low-level tech world, and the world consciousness is still unformed,” Qiqi shook her head.
“Then why is this happening? What are the causes of death for those participants?”
“That’s the strange part. Some died in car accidents, some from electrocution, and others were choked by food,” Qiqi became increasingly upset as she spoke; these were embarrassing ways to die, a disgrace to the Main God Space.
“All accidents? Isn’t the world consciousness there still asleep? Are you sure there was no mistake in your detection?” Qi Yun questioned as he walked towards the portal.
“There shouldn’t be any mistake. I’ve checked several times. It wouldn’t have drifted towards us if the world consciousness had awoken. Most low-level worlds try to avoid us,” Qiqi explained as they walked.
Qi Yun nodded and arrived at the gateway, behind which lay the mysterious world that had swallowed sixteen participants.
For safety, Qi Yun only placed his palm on the door, splitting off a portion of his consciousness to infiltrate the world through the gateway.
After circling the area near the portal several times, Qi Yun found something that needed to be corrected. At least superficially, this world was just a tech world that couldn’t even venture beyond its home planet. But the more it seemed so, the less Qi Yun was prepared to enter in person.
A world that could devour sixteen participants, bringing the death rate to a hundred percent, indeed, wasn’t that simple. It might well be a trap prepared for outsiders.
“Qiqi, stop exploring this world for now. Wait until we have more people and greater combat capabilities before we reopen it,” Qi Yun decided, sealing the gate.
“I understand,” Qiqi responded.
As they were about to return, Qi Yun felt a disturbance in a world they were already connected to, as if a massive energy item had punctured in from outside.
Following the disturbance, Qi Yun’s perspective shifted.
In the Marvel Universe, a hammer descended from the sky and stood erect within a sparsely populated area in the United States. Through Qi Yun’s spiritual vision, countless thunder runes surrounded the hammer. These runes, unlike any language on Earth, were unique.
Whoosh—Qi Yun appeared directly above Thor’s Hammer.
Looking up, Qi Yun could see someone monitoring the area. He considered blocking this surveillance but then thought better of it; if the Ancient One hadn’t intervened, why should he?
Regarding Earth, the Ancient One certainly took things more seriously than Qi Yun. Her inaction suggested that she believed the hammer wouldn’t cause irreversible damage to this world.
Maintaining his invisibility, Qi Yun approached Thor’s Hammer. As he moved forward, the runes around the hammer parted from the center as if facing a natural predator.
Once close, without the obstructive flashing runes, Qi Yun could observe the hammer more clearly. The hammer appeared small, but its quality was terrifyingly high, and every inch of its surface and interior was filled with special power-inscribed runes painstakingly etched by Odin’s divine power.
Initially, Qi Yun considered copying the
Hammer wanted to create more Thors, but now, he dismissed the idea. It wasn’t worth it. Thor was Odin’s son, and only for him would Odin expend so much effort and divine power to create Thor’s Hammer. No one in the Main God Space was worthy of such an investment from Qi Yun.
Though he decided against copying it, Qi Yun still reached for Thor’s Hammer. A powerful, repulsive force burst from the hammer, one of Odin’s safeguards aimed at those strong enough to lift Thor’s Hammer physically.
It wasn’t so much that he expected the repulsive force to deter such individuals, but rather, he hoped that upon contacting the force and its embedded information, they would show some respect.
Boom! Dark clouds gathered above Thor’s Hammer, with lightning coursing through them, ready to strike at any moment.
Besides Odin’s explanations, the repulsive force also contained a part of the runes of Asgard.
Undoubtedly, Odin had considered a lot for Thor. For beings like Qi Yun and the Ancient One, a non-cooperative artifact full of personal imprints was far less valuable than the runes used to make the hammer.
Since the situation was so forthright, Qi Yun decided not to be the villain; he released Thor’s Hammer, letting it fall back to its original position.
Afterward, Qi Yun disappeared from the area and returned to the Main God Space. With these runes, the shop could now offer many new products.
