Marvel Saiyans - Chapter 30
Carlos was brimming with satisfaction. If this operation captured the Green Demon, his reputation would soar. The Green Demon, having humiliated the Mexican government and inflicted heavy losses, was subdued by a drug lord. The president’s sheer incompetence was unmistakable, and the civilians might soon trust the drug lord more than the police.
By then, the Reyes Group would become Mexico’s shadow government, co-governing Mexico with the president. As for his old rival, Barlo Mata, he was merely a minor nuisance, easily dismissed.
Several leaders were excitedly discussing dealing with the Green Demon as if they had already captured him. One suggested binding the Green Demon’s limbs and head with steel cables and using five trucks to dismember him; another suggested dropping him into a vat of sulfuric acid; another recommended an electric chair; and yet another suggested impaling Green Demon with a spear and leaving him to perish in the desert.
They smugly recounted the methods they had previously used to torture traitors and enemies. Broly, with interest, suggested decapitation with a chainsaw, but the leaders dismissed it as cliché and uninspired.
Isabel, sitting next to her father, turned pale and covered her mouth to prevent herself from vomiting. She rose from her seat and dashed to the bathroom, nearly throwing up her bile.
Although she had heard of her father’s brutality, this was the first time she truly understood the extent of the Reyes Group’s atrocities. Her uncles had always appeared kind and friendly before her, but now their true nature terrified her.
She splashed some water on her face, carefully washing it. Isabel felt lost, unsure of where to go. Suddenly, a hand reached out silently from behind, swiftly covering her mouth, then carried her to a storeroom.
“Don’t cry, don’t scream, or I’ll snap your neck,” a voice whispered in her ear.
Isabel obediently nodded. Having been kidnapped once before, she was no longer as panic-stricken as she had been the first time.
The hand slowly relaxed.
“Alejandro!”
Isabel turned around and saw Alejandro. During her kidnapping, it had always been Alejandro who looked after her. Perhaps due to Stockholm Syndrome, Isabel deeply trusted Alejandro.
“It seems this little girl has taken a liking to you,” Wade remarked, halting his banter mid-sentence as Alejandro pulled out a handgun and aimed it at his backside.
“Where are the three people who were with you earlier?” Matt sighed, deciding to take over the questioning.
“They’re in the underground wine cellar, guarded by five men. But I wouldn’t recommend trying to rescue them; there’s a monster there,” Isabel said, glancing at Alejandro and speaking softly.
“Monster, describe what he looks like,” Matt inquired.
“Uh, he’s bald, with a target tattoo on his forehead,” Isabel replied.
Wade burst out laughing.
“A target on his forehead? Is he asking for someone to blow his brains out?” Matt wasn’t as optimistic as Wade.
“This complicates things. Standing behind the Reyes and Mata groups is indeed Midas. This man’s name is Bullseye, one of Midas’ assassins, extremely formidable. No wonder the Reyes Group and Mata Group are so tough; their backer turns out to be Midas. Motherfucker, is there any criminal organization that Midas isn’t involved with?”
Midas had planned more traps within his schemes.
Bullseye possesses a natural throwing ability, capable of hitting any target with incredible accuracy using any object in his hand. The CIA once clashed with him, and Bullseye killed over thirty well-trained agents using just a box of toothpicks.
While Broly was fighting Goro Daimon, having such a skilled marksman like Bullseye lurking nearby was highly lethal.
“Is your friend tight-lipped?”
Matt asked.
“Uh… ah… he probably spilled everything he knew already,” Wade said, somewhat embarrassed. Jack Hammer was very cowardly, hence his nickname ‘Weasel’; he was a little scared and would spill everything he knew like a sieve.
“That he’s lasted this long as a mercenary without being killed by a friend’s betrayal is a miracle,” Matt remarked sarcastically, pausing to think.
“Midas is very cautious; he must have analyzed Broly’s strength beforehand. Yet, he still sent this pair, so in his judgment, this duo was enough to handle Broly, or perhaps other traps were laid out. Based on Midas’s previous track record, I think if we do nothing, Broly will likely be killed,” Matt deduced.
Wade was startled; he couldn’t imagine what it would take to kill someone as formidable as Broly.
“Then we should do something,” Alejandro said somberly.
“Isn’t it? What we can do is ambush Bullseye. We already know his current location and that he needs to snipe Broly, so his route of action is pretty clear,” Matt said, looking around. “Bullseye is very tricky. Even with an ambush, one of us might likely die.”
“Isn’t being a normal person involved in such major events interesting?” Wade said nonchalantly.
“I’m already dead,” Alejandro stated, causing Isabel to shudder violently.
“The key is, I don’t want to die yet, no choice,” Matt laughed, then tapped Isabel’s vein with his palm, knocking her unconscious: “Guess there’s no choice. I’ll join you guys in this madness.”
Outside, Broly was bored out of his mind, having already eaten all the snacks at the neighboring seat while gang leaders were bragging and boasting with call girls they had prepared.
“Why can’t we start yet?” he thought, increasingly impatient.
Broly, thinking this, stared intently at Goro Daimon. This man was the strongest person he had encountered so far, with an aura as solid as a mountain and muscles knotted like tree roots, clearly a result of extreme training, not just someone relying on mutant abilities.
Seeing Alarcon shoo away the call girls and staring at him with a strange look, Goro Daimon felt a chill and quietly moved his chair, distancing himself from Broly.
Suddenly, the previously bored Broly’s demeanor changed. Like a hungry wolf, he grabbed a gang leader from the arms of a call girl.
“Kid, you suggested chopping off Green Demon’s head and soaking it in a cesspool, right?”
