Marvel Saiyans - Chapter 34
Alejandro was holding a pistol, expressionlessly finishing off the gang leaders who had survived the initial attack. With each gunshot, the mafia bosses were methodically killed.
Some of Reyes’ gunmen had fled, but it was too late to change the outcome.
“Reyes’ group is finished.”
Matt, cigarette in mouth, was roughly tending to Wade’s wounds using a medical kit, causing Wade to wince in pain.
“Alright, it’s just a pencil wound. It’ll heal quickly, but the fracture in your hand is a bit tricky. I’ve stabilized it for now, but you’ll need to see an orthopedic surgeon.”
Broly sat cross-legged on the ground, eyes closed, meditating. He was reflecting on his recent fight with Goro Daimon. Daimon had relied too heavily on his throwing skills, which put him at a disadvantage against an equally matched opponent if he couldn’t use his throws.
Isabel ran out of the room, breaking down at the sight of her father’s body, crying uncontrollably.
“It was you… you killed my father!”
She picked up a pistol from the ground, struggling to lift it, and aimed at Broly.
“Bang!”
The recoil sent the pistol flying upward, the bullet flying off into the unknown.
Broly smirked, stood up, and walked over to Isabel.
“Missing at such close range, I’ll give you another chance. I’m usually very merciful to those who dare to attack me. You shouldn’t miss at this distance, right?”
Isabel, tear-streaked, looked up at the towering Broly, her hand going limp, and the pistol fell to the ground.
“Weakling.”
Broly grabbed Isabel, lifting her into the air.
“Broly…”
Having finished all the mafia bosses, Alejandro watched Broly with a complex expression, wanting to speak but remaining silent.
The next moment, Broly threw Isabel away.
“Be careful not to get killed by this kid.”
Alejandro caught the girl, hesitated for a moment, and then said,
“I’ll take her to Bolivia, and we won’t return to Mexico.”
“Does Bolivian law allow child marriage?” Wade quipped mischievously.
Alejandro drew his pistol.
“Wait, we seem to have forgotten about Jack and the others; I’ll go save them!”
Wade limped into the mansion.
Alejandro grimaced, slipping his glove back into his holster. Isabel reminded him of his deceased daughter, and he planned to take her to Bolivia to raise her.
“What are you planning to do next, Broly?”
Matt asked.
“Go to America.”
Due to Matt’s position, Broly didn’t elaborate on why he was going to America.
Matt didn’t press further, knowing that asking too much could affect their relationship. His unique relationship with Broly was a stepping stone in his career at the CIA. He planned to use his influence to prevent other agents from approaching Broly after he returned.
He pulled out an old Nokia phone and handed it to Broly.
“Use this phone to keep in touch. I’ll call this number if the CIA has any missions that might need you. If you run into any trouble, you can also use it to contact me.”
He knew regular phones were easily damaged in intense fights, so he chose this specially reinforced phone.
Broly pocketed the phone.
“No tracking system?”
Matt shrugged.
“No, these things are too easily detected, and the agency doesn’t want to risk it. If the phone breaks, you can come to S.H.I.E.L.D. headquarters for a new one,” he said, pointing to Goro Daimon lying on the ground.
“Aren’t we going to finish this guy off?”
Goro Daimon was severely injured, breathing weakly, but still alive.
Energy gathered in Broly’s hands; he hesitated momentarily before dispersing it.
“People at Goro Daimon’s level are rare, aren’t they?”
There was a lot of information on Goro Daimon within S.H.I.E.L.D.
“Not many. Fighters like Goro Daimon are among the top in Japan. According to S.H.I.E.L.D.’s data, there are less than a hundred people in all of Japan who have mastered the energy. Talent is essential for cultivating energy. General MacArthur once selected a group of elite soldiers and ordered the Three Sacred Treasures families to train them in martial arts, but not one successfully cultivated energy.”
Given General MacArthur’s supreme status, the Three Sacred Treasures families dared not take his orders lightly.
“In that case, let’s spare his life,” Broly said. “Farewell, and I hope we’re all still alive the next time we meet.”
He had nothing on him and no luggage to pack, ready to run back to Texas.
“Wait!”
Alejandro called out to him, handing Broly a backpack.
“This is the payment from the Mata Group for the past five operations, totaling 2.37 million dollars. I’ve withdrawn fifty thousand in cash for you; the rest is in cashier’s checks from Wells Fargo, available for withdrawal anytime. There are also over thirty gold coins from the Continental Hotel. Pay one for registration, and the front desk will give you a phone. All tasks are sent via SMS through that phone, and occasionally, there are compulsory tasks, but with your abilities, you should be able to ignore them.”
Broly took the backpack and ran northward. His speed was so fast that soon, he was just a blur.
“What a strange man.”
Matt tossed a cigarette to Alejandro, lighting one up for himself as well.
…
…
Three days later, Broly had crossed the border into Texas. He had left Kakarot at the Sharp Farm, and it had been long since he last checked in.
Suddenly, he stopped, his expression serious as he surveyed the scene ahead.
Though the town of Lahitas was vast in area, mostly farmland, the city was small, with only two highways. Because most people lived on the farms, the town was usually empty and hardly ever experienced traffic jams.
Now, various pickup trucks almost blocked both roads.
Broly was puzzled and continued towards Sharp Farm. The orchards, wheat fields, and pastures along the way were in disarray, with swathes of wheat trampled into the mud and fences in the pastures knocked down, seemingly by some gigantic creature.
Even large trees had been uprooted, houses overturned, and police cars thrown onto rooftops.
Broly suddenly stopped, looking at the vast footprints on the ground, his mouth twitching.
“That idiot, didn’t I tell her not to look at the full moon? I hope the U.S. military hasn’t killed her.”
Kakarot, being very young, didn’t have a high combat ability, had not even transformed into a giant ape, and might not stand a chance against the military.
He put on his power-scanning glasses and began searching for Kakarot’s location.
