Marvel Saiyans - Chapter 38
Turtle School Martial Arts consists of specific techniques. At the World Martial Arts Tournament, after exchanging a few moves with Goku, Chi-Chi was immediately recognized by Master Roshi for using Turtle School techniques. Perhaps he only trained Goku and Krillin in physical conditioning because Goku had a foundation laid by his grandfather, Son Gohan, and Krillin had previously taught at the Orin Temple, making further instruction unnecessary.
The most crucial elements in the Dragon Ball universe are energy and physical strength. Even if combat experience and skills are lacking, these can be caught up with after a few battles.
The fighting techniques in the Dragon Ball universe are simple and brutal, following the philosophy of overwhelming force without any fancy moves. Goku’s Kamehameha was used from beginning to end, from defeating Mercenary Tao to Majin Buu, without being phased out despite power increases.
However, it’s exceedingly difficult for ordinary people to cultivate energy in the Marvel universe. Warriors spend a lot of effort creating martial arts techniques, with each school passing down various sophisticated techniques. Victory doesn’t rely solely on energy; powerful techniques make it possible to challenge more substantial opponents.
If one could integrate the strengths of both worlds—extreme energy and sophisticated martial arts—Broly feels he might pave a new path.
In training Kakarot, Broly follows Master Roshi’s approach, primarily focusing on physical conditioning. Having more substantial energy is always an advantage.
“Now, put this stone on your back, and we’ll start by hopping around the farm ten times.”
Broly picked a stone weighing about 30 kilograms for Kakarot to carry, while he chose a boulder weighing over two tons.
Aside from a group of S.H.I.E.L.D. agents and the Sharp family, Rashitas Town had almost no human presence. With a scouter to detect combat power, Broly wasn’t worried about being spotted during their extraordinary training method.
“One, two! One, two!”
Kakarot, like a bit of a frog, struggled to keep up with Broly’s pace. Due to her young age, her strength was only slightly greater than an adult’s, making the 30-kilogram stone quite burdensome. After two laps, she was overwhelmed, her pink tongue hanging out like a puppy’s, sweat soaking her back.
“I… I can’t go on… Broly…”
Despite a fall on her head, she hadn’t lost the Saiyan wildness; she was at her physical limit now.
“Then let’s rest for a while.”
Broly set down his massive boulder and sat cross-legged on the ground. Turtle School advocates for sensible training and rest; reaching a limit necessitates a break to allow the body to recover.
He took out a water bottle and poured a cup for Kakarot. She grabbed the cup, gulped it down, and then lay on the ground, too exhausted to move her fingers.
“I’ll go get some food. You stay here, so don’t wander off.”
He stood up, covered over twenty meters in one step, and disappeared instantly. It wasn’t long before he returned, carrying a cougar.
“Woah, Broly, you’re the best!”
Kakarot was moved to tears.
Disgusted by the snot about to drip into her mouth, Broly skinned the cougar and skewered it on a stick over the campfire. His cooking skills were still poor; the meat smelled strong and tasted almost like something from a kitchen nightmare, but the two managed to clean the cougar, leaving only a pile of bones.
Kakarot was gnawing on a leg bone, trying to scrape off the last bits of meat. Wiping his greasy mouth, Broly blasted a hole with his energy and prepared to bury the bones.
“Clang!”
Katrina stood there, stunned, watching the scene, spilling the broth she held. They had indeed started attacking humans secretly. What should she do? Could she be silenced?
“I… I didn’t see anything!”
She quickly covered her eyes.
“What are you talking about? Is a cougar a protected animal?”
Broly asked, puzzled.
Katrina awkwardly lowered her hands; she had already seen the cougar’s skull. She had misunderstood. Cougars are one of the biggest enemies of farmers, annually sneaking into farms to kill livestock and even attacking humans. Although the law protects cougars, some farmers often poison or shoot them in secret.
“Uh… Dad has already negotiated a deal with a farm, and he wants me to call you back to sign the papers.”
Kakarot looked regretfully at the spilled broth, trying to scoop up the remaining part from the iron pot. Broly, expressionless, picked her up and then transformed into Clark Kent.
“It seems your father is quite efficient. Let’s go.”
…
…
“Clint, you’re going to hell!”
A desperate farmer gritted his teeth as he signed his name on the contract; he had no other choice. Even if he held on and didn’t sell the farm, it would still be taken over by the bank for a low price due to unpaid loans. That would be true despair.
Now, by selling the farm, although at a loss, after repaying the loans, there would still be a significant amount left, enough to avoid bankruptcy and homelessness.
“I’m helping you, aren’t I, Cade?”
Clint’s eyebrows twitched, unable to suppress the excitement in his heart. This deal alone would make him four thousand dollars. His daughter’s tuition fees would soon be covered.
In the following days, more fled farmers returned to Rashitas Town, hastily sold their farms, and left. They had heard that the giant ape hadn’t been found yet and considered the cash-buying Clark Kent a sucker.
Soon, Broly owned almost all the farms in Rashitas Town.
After signing the last contract, the system in his mind suddenly responded.
?Ding, congratulations, host, for exceeding the main quest one, securing a habitat for Saiyans on Earth, earning 120 Revival Points, and acquiring a Flying Nimbus?
?Main Quest Two, as a Saiyan bringing only fear and war, demonstrates the terror of Saiyans on Earth. The reward will be determined by the number of people afraid of Saiyans?
Broly felt a bit regretful; this quest had come too late. He probably would have instantly completed it if he had proclaimed himself a Saiyan in Mexico City.
He initially thought he couldn’t ride the Flying Nimbus, but after receiving it, he found that the first person to get the Nimbus could set the condition for its use, which had to be related to the spirit.
Master Korin had set the condition for riding the Nimbus as having a pure heart. After some consideration, Broly set the condition of being belligerent.
The Flying Nimbus was still very practical, impervious to any physical attack. Only the energy of demons could destroy it.
When Goku revived and rushed to fight Vegeta, he rode the Nimbus. His power level had reached over eight thousand, showing the Nimbus’s high speed. Even after Broly learned the art of flight, he could still use it for a long time.
