Marvel Saiyans - Chapter 64
On the Black Hawk helicopter, medics were cleaning and disinfecting Broly’s wounds. He stopped them from bandaging his injuries.
“No need. With the medical pod, these wounds will heal in about twenty days.”
Matt’s mind raced at this revelation, realizing that Broly’s spaceship must be hidden somewhere on Earth.
“In the meantime, we’ll be searching for Catman’s whereabouts with the U.S. military. If he shows up again, he won’t escape our notice. Twenty days is plenty of time to dig him out.”
Broly nodded curtly, trying to mask any unusual expressions that might give him away to Matt.
“Don’t worry, once you find him, I can snap his neck with one hand.”
Upon reaching the Kandahar hotel, Broly quietly slipped away, boarding the Nimbus in a secluded alley. He flew across the Mediterranean, Africa, and the Atlantic, returning to his farm in Texas.
The Frieza Force medical pod was enormous and required an electrical power supply. Once retrieved from the system, it couldn’t be put back, so Broly planned to install it at the farm.
The farm had been transformed. The corn and soybeans had been cleared, the land leveled, and the neglected orchard now thrived with greenery. The vegetable garden was neatly planted with rows of various vegetables.
Cade Yeager had purchased over a hundred strong Angus cattle from a neighboring farmer. The hired hands were massaging the cattle in the pasture.
Cade was flying a rented agricultural plane, scattering alfalfa seeds over the fields. These were the latest genetically modified alfalfa seeds from Monsanto, boasting a protein content of over 28%, making them excellent fodder.
As Cade was about to return for landing, the plane suddenly lurched, and there was a tapping sound on the cockpit roof. Turning around, he first saw a hideous wound, flesh rolled back.
“Ghost!”
His hand jerked, causing the plane to nose up sharply and then enter a tailspin, heading towards the ground. Broly grabbed the plane, using his flight technique to lower it gently to the ground.
“Cade, you’re quite the coward.”
Broly laughed heartily as Cade shakily climbed out of the plane.
“Anyone would react the same in my situation. Boss, what’s with those wounds?”
Cade looked at Broly’s chest wound with concern, wondering who could have injured him so badly.
The intense movement had reopened Broly’s wounds, causing them to bleed again.
“It’s nothing, just a troublesome opponent. Where’s Kakarot?”
Broly asked.
“Miss Kakarot is massaging the cattle. She’s accidentally killed three of them this week,” Cade complained. He suspected she was killing the cattle on purpose for meat.
“Her strength has grown quite a bit,” Broly chuckled. “Let’s install the medical pod before she sees my wounds and worries.”
“Medical pod?”
Cade and Kakarot lived in the former owner’s farmhouse, which allowed close supervision of the workers. The farmhouse, built by an Austin businessman as a leisure retreat, was sturdily constructed from reinforced concrete and covered an area of over 300 square meters across three floors.
Given the high cost of labor in the U.S., building such a concrete villa was very expensive. Property tax also accounted for the cost of dismantling such structures, making it a choice for the wealthy.
“Are we really putting it in the bathroom?”
Broly scratched his head.
“The bathroom or the balcony are the best options. The medical pod, like a washing machine, needs to discharge the culture fluid after treatment. Without a drainage area, the thick fluid would make a mess,” Cade explained, holding the instruction manual. Although he couldn’t read the language, he deduced the setup from the diagrams.
“Think about it, once the treatment is over, you can take a shower immediately. Isn’t that convenient?”
Broly considered it for a moment.
“That’s a good point…”
The medical pod was installed in the third-floor bathroom. Luckily, the rooms were large, so the bathroom didn’t feel cramped despite the pod’s size.
However, the culture fluid wasn’t free. Each treatment required three barrels of fluid, costing fifteen revival points per barrel.
After exchanging points for the fluid, Broly lay in the pod, put on the breathing mask, and let the viscous fluid envelop his body.
The burning pain of his wounds was quickly soothed by a cool sensation. Under the stimulation of the culture fluid and the pod’s electromagnetic waves, both his wounds and broken ribs began to heal rapidly.
Soon, the gaping chest wound closed without leaving a scar, and the broken ribs fused perfectly.
Despite feeling healed, Broly stayed in the pod for an hour to get his forty-five points’ worth. Emerging from the pod, he discarded his tattered clothes and rinsed off under the shower.
[Congratulations to the host for recovering from severe injuries. You have earned two attribute points.]
A notification appeared in his field of vision. Saiyans experience significant power boosts in the Dragon Ball universe after near-death recoveries. Due to universal rules, the boost was converted into attribute points. As a legendary Super Saiyan, his ki automatically strengthened with age, making attribute points more practical.
Spending forty-five points for two attribute points wasn’t cheap. Completing two main missions had only netted him 240 revival points.
Having previously increased his physique and intelligence, Broly now added the two points to agility and perception.
Each attribute point brought exponential improvement, causing immediate physical changes.
Broly felt a slight electrical current through his body as soon as he allocated the points. Time seemed to slow, and he could clearly see each water droplet from the showerhead, their trajectories shaped by air resistance and gravity, shattering into mist upon contact with his skin.
His neural response speed had increased dramatically, and his perception enhancement made his skin hypersensitive. Even with his eyes closed, he could sense the water droplets’ locations through air currents and catch them precisely.
Facing Fire Cloud Evil God again, hitting Broly would be far more difficult.
