Marvel Saiyans - Chapter 67
About half a day later, the deep pit created by Broly’s blast was filled with underground water. Initially, the water was very muddy, but it cleared up after some sedimentation.
The depth of the reservoir caused longer wavelengths of light—red, orange, and yellow—to be absorbed by the water, making the edges appear clear while the center turned a deep, pure blue.
Kakarot cheerfully pulled the large fish, which were about the same size as her, from the puddle and placed them into the reservoir.
“Little fish, grow up quickly!”
The fish, initially stunned by the explosion and then confined in a small space, swam sluggishly toward the deeper water, slowly regaining their vitality.
“Northern pike, rainbow trout, largemouth bass, striped bass…” Cade identified each of the large fish, realizing that introducing them into this water body would likely prevent other fish species from thriving. Once these fish recovered, they would start preying on each other.
Broly hovered above the lake, maintaining his rage form while practicing Crane School techniques. His body was surrounded by gang qi, and each punch and kick tore through the air.
With his increased intelligence, he could maintain rationality in his rage form outside of battle and exit the form at will.
The concentrated power of his punches had a lethal force even at a distance of sixty meters, a strength that only the soft, yielding lake water could withstand.
The Nine-Turn True Martial Art’s internal energy efficiently eliminated toxins, parasites, and bacteria from his body, outperforming regular internal energy by tens of times. Even the most hidden foreign substances were expelled. He had to use the bathroom every thirty minutes to eliminate these impurities.
Broly’s immense appetite often led to unintentional ingestion of heavy metals, parasites, and bacteria. His remarkable immune system had prevented illnesses, but the gang qi now thoroughly cleansed his body, making him feel lighter and more vigorous than ever.
In his rage form, his training progressed astonishingly fast. Since the Crane and Turtle Schools both originated from Mutaito, Broly found the techniques familiar and easy to master. He was confident that he could learn the Four Witches Technique within the remaining time.
…
…
A peculiar spaceship hovered in the sky. Such a massive object should have been detected by U.S. military surveillance aircraft in Afghanistan, but it had been flying unnoticed for several days.
This spaceship was the ancient Nuwa Star Ferry, capable of flying within the atmosphere and traversing the void of outer space.
Bu Qingyun and Nie Zheng used their qi to leap thirty meters, landing on the deck. Three others were already waiting there. The five of them were the top martial artists of their generation in Zhongtu.
Zhang Ye, a direct disciple of the Wudang Sect, had mastered the Taiji Profound Skill, a peer to the Nine Heavens True Classic, surpassing his teacher. He was skilled in Wudang Tai Chi Sword and Wudang Palm Techniques. Only Bu Qingyun could rival him in swordsmanship.
Zhuo Bufan, a descendant of Guiguzi, excelled in divination and Qimen techniques. Though his martial arts were average, his qinggong (lightness skill) was unmatched. He was the one piloting the Nuwa Star Ferry.
Xu Que, adept in the Longevity Technique, also excelled in knife skills and disguise.
According to the Divine Spear Bureau’s plan, upon locating Fire Cloud Evil God, Zhang Ye and the others would engage his disciples, while Bu Qingyun and Nie Zheng confronted Fire Cloud Evil God.
Fire Cloud Evil God was notoriously cunning. If an equally powerful adversary approached, he would likely avoid battle, abandoning his lair to flee. Previous attempts to capture him had failed this way.
This time, sending just these five martial artists, Fire Cloud Evil God’s temperament would likely not allow him to ignore the rising talents of Zhongtu. If successful, Bu Qingyun and Nie Zheng could use Maha Boundless to critically injure or kill him. The Nuwa Star Ferry’s mobility would allow for a swift escape if unsuccessful.
“It’s a shame the Stellar Tribulation only appeared for a short time. The Huangji Jingshi Book could only determine its general direction,” Zhuo Bufan lamented. When Fire Cloud Evil God used the Stellar Tribulation, Zhuo Bufan had sensed it through the ancient Huangji Jingshi Book but had failed to pinpoint its exact location because Fire Cloud Evil God had quickly concealed it.
“Don’t worry, Zhuo. I’ve ordered SHIELD agents to search east of the Hindu Kush Mountains and shared this intel with the U.S. military. They’re preparing for a comprehensive search of the area,” said Phil Coulson, sitting on the Nuwa Star Ferry’s deck. His typically serious demeanor had given way to a more carefree expression, making him seem like a different person entirely.
Zhuo Bufan nodded.
“I’ll drop you off in Kabul so SHIELD doesn’t notice anything amiss. And remember, don’t do anything out of character while posing as Phil Coulson. If you’re discovered, it’ll create a lot of complications between us and SHIELD.”
Phil Coulson was actually Xu Que in disguise.
The SHIELD team searching for Tony Stark had been quickly detected by the Nuwa Star Ferry crew upon arrival in Afghanistan.
Xu Que had infiltrated the SHIELD camp, abducting Phil Coulson and assuming his identity to use SHIELD and U.S. military resources to search for Fire Cloud Evil God.
Xu Que shrugged nonchalantly.
“Recently, the U.S. military and CIA have focused a lot of their efforts on someone called Catman. Especially the CIA—they’re almost completely ignoring the search for Tony Stark.”
Nie Zheng raised his hand.
“I’ve encountered this Catman. His strength is hard to gauge, and his cooking is terrible.”
He emphasized the terrible cooking, recalling Broly’s roasted bear meat vividly.
Zhuo Bufan shook his head. With the available information, he couldn’t determine why Catman had attracted the attention of the U.S. military and CIA.
“Zhang Ye, what have you discovered?”
Zhuo Bufan asked.
“Hu…”
Though Zhang Ye’s eyes were open, he was softly snoring, having fallen asleep at some point.
Zhuo Bufan covered his face in exasperation. Managing these four was a headache. They were all top talents, proud and eccentric.
Bu Qingyun was taciturn, almost mute, and stubborn. Communication was only possible through her mild-mannered junior, Nie Zheng. Xu Que was capricious and often acted on whims, making unpredictable and problematic decisions.
Zhang Ye was incredibly lazy, often finding a cave to nap in instead of following orders. If not for Zhuo Bufan calling him, he might have slept through the entire mission.
“This is too much…”
