Marvel Shuttling the Heavens - Chapter 247
Passing through the Quantum Realm again, the process was not much different from last time.
In less than a second, Li Yue returned to his original universe.
Emerging from the universe of Avengers: Endgame, Li Yue appeared in a deserted street. Without bothering to figure out where he was, he used his superpowers to vanish from the spot, reappearing in the New York Sanctum.
Sitting relaxed in a chair in the attic, Li Yue began to tally up his gains from this adventure mentally.
First, he had three Infinity Stones in his possession. Originally, he only had the Time Stone. Later, he helped Tony and the others obtain the Space Stone and the Mind Stone to perform the snap. The snap was successful, and the people were saved. Now, all these stones were in Li Yue’s hands.
However, the Time Stone and the Mind Stone weren’t useful to Li Yue, which didn’t bother him. The Space Stone, on the other hand, was his most significant gain. This stone could provide Li Yue with an endless supply of space energy, which is essential for his power to traverse different worlds.
With the Space Stone, Li Yue no longer needed to spend time and effort to absorb energy gradually. He could immediately gather the energy required for his next journey.
Suppressing the urge to travel to another world immediately, Li Yue continued to assess his gains. He turned his right hand, revealing a stone emitting a brilliant blue glow. This was the Space Stone.
He recalled that he didn’t dare to touch the Tesseract directly when he first encountered it. But now, he could hold the Space Stone without worrying about the energy it contained. Even the Power Stone, known for its violent energy, wouldn’t pose a threat to him now.
Thus, Li Yue carefully examined and felt the Space Stone in his hand. Although he had used it before, it was only a rudimentary use—creating a portal with its energy, something even humans could achieve with technology.
Li Yue didn’t believe the Infinity Stones, treasures of the Marvel Universe, had such limited capabilities. He wanted to understand what secrets the Space Stone held.
…
Focusing on the Space Stone, Li Yue stared at it for a while. Finding nothing unusual with his naked eyes, he closed his eyes and extended his mental power toward the stone.
“Huh? It feels like something is blocking my mental power!”
As soon as his mental power touched the stone, Li Yue felt a mysterious force resisting him, trying to keep his mental power at bay.
“Interesting. Let’s see if you can keep me out,” Li Yue chuckled, then concentrated and increased the output of his mental power.
One per cent, two per cent, three per cent…
As Li Yue increased his mental power, the mysterious resistance grew stronger.
“Damn it, I don’t believe a small stone can defeat me,” Li Yue muttered, feeling frustrated. He decided to release his full mental power all at once.
With three years of training, his mental power was immense. Releasing it all at once compressed the air around him, producing a sound like an explosion.
The nearly tangible mental power formed a gleaming “sword” in the air, radiating an intimidating aura, its sharp “blade” aimed directly at the Space Stone.
…
A sound, faint yet resonant, shook Li Yue’s core. He found himself, once again, in a strange space similar to the one he experienced after the snap.
But this time, the space wasn’t void. It was filled with blue light everywhere. Li Yue could finally see his surroundings.
Everything was blue like all other colours had been drained from this space. There was no distinction between ground and sky; he seemed to be floating in space without any sense of weightlessness.
“What is this place? Could it be the interior of the Space Stone?” Li Yue wondered, surprised at how he ended up in such a place again.
Feeling the blue energy around him absorbed into his body, Li Yue speculated that he might be inside the Space Stone.
“If that’s true, the void I experienced last time must be another stone’s interior. But which one?” Li Yue was puzzled. If this blue space belonged to the Space Stone, what about the void?
He couldn’t determine the answer based on the colour alone. Putting aside his confusion, Li Yue explored this blue space to see what secrets it held.
