Marvel Shuttling the Heavens - Chapter 248
Li Yue entered this type of space for the second time, so he didn’t panic as he had the first time. He closed his eyes, stopped observing the blue energy, and released his mental power, exploring all directions.
At first, when his mental power hadn’t reached far, Li Yue found nothing unusual. However, as his mental power extended to its maximum range, he made a surprising discovery.
“Is this… a Chitauri soldier’s corpse?”
As Li Yue’s mental power spread outward, it returned information that instantly changed his expression. He had found the intact body of a Chitauri soldier, the same species that had attacked New York. There were no visible fatal injuries, and Li Yue couldn’t determine the cause of death immediately.
“But why is there a Chitauri corpse inside the Space Stone?”
This discovery greatly puzzled Li Yue. He couldn’t understand why a Chitauri soldier’s corpse would appear here; it didn’t make sense.
…
After pondering for a while, Li Yue had a hypothesis but lacked evidence to confirm it. He decided to investigate later since he could always re-enter the Space Stone for further exploration. For now, understanding this space was more important.
He continued his mental exploration, noting the vast expanse of blue energy.
“Wait a minute, the sensation in this space differs from the last one!”
Li Yue realised that, unlike the previous void, he could feel his body clearly, and his abilities weren’t restricted.
“If that’s the case, my superpowers should work normally here!”
With this thought, Li Yue activated his powers. To his surprise, he found himself in the outside world, holding the Space Stone, still emitting its blue glow.
Li Yue felt a subtle connection between his mind and the Space Stone as if he could enter and exit space. Additionally, he sensed he could store items in this seemingly boundless space.
“Could this be the legendary ‘storage space’?”
This realisation astonished Li Yue. The Space Stone now functioned like a storage ring from the fantasy novels he had read.
“Well, this is quite convenient. At least now I have a place to store things!”
With the Space Stone, Li Yue no longer had to worry about energy for world-hopping. This unexpected ability made him quite happy.
…
Compared to the Space Stone, Li Yue’s other gains seemed insignificant. For instance, the Sanctuary II, Thanos’ spaceship, now modified by Tony and the others, had greatly improved convenience.
Thanks to Pym Particles, the spaceship could now be carried around. Li Yue essentially had a personal spaceship, a significant upgrade from luxury cars or private jets. With this spaceship, he could even pretend to be an alien in other worlds.
Aside from the spaceship, Li Yue’s strength hadn’t increased much, except for his body becoming stronger from using the Infinity Gauntlet twice. Other gains were negligible.
…
After battling Thanos, Li Yue clearly understood his own strength. In his current state, he could fight Thanos without being disadvantaged. Even if Thanos had the Power Stone, Li Yue wouldn’t be afraid. The Power Stone’s energy might be infinite, but Thanos still needs to hit him.
“Now that the battle for New York is over and I have the Space Stone, it’s time to return to Kamar-Taj.”
“I’ve been waiting in the Marvel Universe for a long time to get the Space Stone. It’s time to prepare for the next journey!”
“I wonder what the next world will be!”
Li Yue felt excited as he thought about travelling to a new world.
…
While Li Yue was reflecting on his gains and contemplating his next move, a man and woman argued in a hospital several blocks away. They seemed like a couple, their voices filled with concern despite the escalating argument.
“Stephen, are you going to quit your job, give up your promising future, and go to Nepal to find that mysterious sorcerer to treat what might be an imaginary illness?” the woman asked incredulously.
“Christine, you don’t understand. Ever since that day two years ago, my mind has been plagued with bizarre visions. Every night, I wake up from nightmares. I can’t focus on surgeries anymore. If this continues, I’ll make a fatal mistake in the operating room and end my career as a doctor,” the man replied with determination.
“Originally, I didn’t believe in those so-called sorcerers. But if aliens can invade New York, what else is impossible? So, Christine, I’ve decided to try it, not just for myself but for you and my career as a doctor,” he said firmly.
