“I hope I won’t turn back into the person I disliked!”
Flames shot up into the sky, lighting the surroundings as bright as day.
I have no regrets. What’s done is done.
Qi Jun knew his mindset had changed entirely before his journey through time!
Previously, he only did minor jobs.
But now?
In just two days, he had even dared to kill in person!

The massive explosion, the powerful shockwave, the earthquake-like tremors, the towering smoke, the sky filled with fire.
All this would attract countless people to investigate.
Qi Jun didn’t want to expose himself further and naturally didn’t want to stay any longer.
He helped up the already-rising Big Daddy and Hit-Girl and immediately turned to leave.
The shockwave was powerful, but Big Daddy and Hit-Girl, who were used to combating gangsters as street heroes, were mostly unharmed despite being blown away. They were dizzy and had minor scrapes from falling.
With his gun slung over his back, Qi Jun quickly left with Big Daddy and Hit-Girl.
On the other side, Phil Coulson watched the three leaving and wanted to say something, but he turned to look at the blazing docks.
Relief of having survived a disaster flashed in his eyes. He opened his mouth but eventually said nothing.
Could it be to thank him for sparing their lives?
Or should I tell him that it was precisely because of Qi Jun that he hadn’t foolishly entered the docks?
Don’t be silly. Wouldn’t that just reveal he was being monitored?
Then, should he still carry out the Director’s task of making contact?

On the other side, far from the docks, Qi Jun led a somewhat bewildered and even slightly frightened Big Daddy and Hit-Girl to a temporarily safe, deserted church.
A tremendous explosion had occurred at the docks, and the skyward flames could be seen across the Hudson River, let alone by those near the docks.
The church had been deserted before Qi Jun arrived with the two; everyone had already fled to join the crowd of onlookers!
Qi Jun could already imagine that a massive protest might emerge by tomorrow.

“Alright, we’re here. You guys rest briefly, and you should fully recover soon!”
“I have some other matters to attend to, so you’ll have to return later!”
After placing his firearms next to them, Qi Jun turned and left.
Despite supporting them on the way here, both were not seriously hurt and had nearly recovered during the journey.
At least, safely and independently, returning to their safe house was not an issue.
Big Daddy and Hit-Girl were momentarily stunned watching Qi Jun leave so abruptly.
Was he always this straightforward?
“Hey!”

“If you ever need anything, make sure to come to us! We’ll help!”
As Qi Jun was about to step out the door, Big Daddy hurriedly shouted.
Finally, seeing Qi Jun wave his hand at the door, he completely disappeared behind it, and Big Daddy and Hit-Girl finally breathed a sigh of relief.
It would have been awkward if they hadn’t managed to thank someone who had saved their lives.
The two, who had witnessed a massive explosion and experienced a powerful shockwave, completely forgot that the mysterious man had initially promised to solve a mystery for them.
