Marvel Start With Reality Stone - Chapter 68
“Haha, don’t ask about these things. Some things are better left unknown.”
Qi Jun naturally wouldn’t tell Tony he came from another world. But he also didn’t feel like making up some random organization. Creating a story would mean constantly building on it, either making it logically cohesive or letting it fall apart, revealing it as a lie. Qi Jun couldn’t be bothered with that, saving his brain cells.
Even though Qi Jun now had the Perfect Superhuman Bloodline, his strength probably wasn’t enough to take on Captain Marvel yet. After all, the bloodline only opened the door to higher evolution levels; it didn’t mean immediate, overwhelming power. Naturally, Qi Jun’s super intellect wasn’t fully developed yet. Even so, he could rival or surpass Tony Stark. But if he could take it easy, why complicate things for himself? If he felt like telling Tony, he would; if not, no one could force him—not even Captain Marvel, the Flerken, the Ancient One, or Odin.
“Alright, enough with the nonsense!”
“Let me ask you, did you manage to get the Vibranium?”
Qi Jun waved his hand to interrupt Tony Stark’s questioning. Hearing this, Tony immediately became serious.
“Three days ago, when you told me there was a super-advanced hidden country in Africa that was more technologically advanced than any other nation, I didn’t believe it!”
“After a thorough investigation, I found you might be right.”
Qi Jun rolled his eyes.
“I told you it was true!”
Tony didn’t believe it at first, even though he looked shocked when he left. Understandable—learning that a seemingly poor and backward third-world chieftain nation was actually Earth’s most technologically advanced country would be hard to believe for anyone. Naturally, Tony used his resources to investigate.
“Of course, it was just a simple investigation.”
“We didn’t probe Wakanda’s outer energy barrier to avoid detection.”
“But even a simple investigation revealed Wakanda’s uniqueness!”
“According to information Jarvis obtained from various intelligence networks and prominent universities, nearly a thousand Wakandans have studied at famous universities worldwide in the past fifty years. Some even changed their names to work in various tech companies!”
Tony Stark wasn’t one to follow the rules. When necessary, he would hack into major intelligence agencies as if it were a casual stroll.
“In the end, all these nearly thousand people returned to Wakanda!”
“Their reason was always to build a better and stronger Wakanda!”
“But once back in Wakanda, they vanished, as if they were eliminated by the ruling class for trying to change the status quo!”
“And since Wakanda continues to appear as a poor, backward third-world chieftain nation, even intelligence agencies lost interest.”
“If you hadn’t told me about Wakanda…”
“Even if I saw these records one day, I’d likely dismiss this small nation as harmless like those intelligence agencies.”
Tony looked at Qi Jun with a serious expression. He sensed Wakanda’s potential threat to the United States if what Qi Jun said was true. This version of Tony Stark hadn’t yet experienced much, and he was just starting his journey as Iron Man. Qi Jun had already led him astray, putting even S.H.I.E.L.D. on his blacklist. A powerful hidden nation like Wakanda naturally worried Tony about its implications for the U.S.
If Qi Jun hinted that Wakanda had ambitions of world domination, Tony might immediately contact the military. This Tony Stark was more like a patriotic young man, or rather, a patriotic middle-aged man, who hadn’t yet developed a concern for all of humanity.
“But I found someone with deep ties to Wakanda!”
“Ulysses Klaue!”
“A South African arms dealer!”
“An important client of Obadiah!”
Tony frowned but kept his tone steady.
“I found out he’s actually wanted by Wakanda!”
“A global fugitive wanted by Wakanda through the United Nations!”
“But clearly, no country would capture an arms dealer who benefits ‘big players’ just for a ‘mere Wakanda’!”
“These years, Ulysses Klaue has thrived under Wakanda’s warrant, building a large team!”
Tony’s face was full of sarcasm.
“But through the Stark family’s hidden resources…”
“We made some deals with Klaue.”
“And got a bit of [Vibranium ore]!”
Tony stood up and walked to the Mark IV armor. The armor opened, revealing a large glass jar containing a piece of [Vibranium ore] emitting a faint blue glow.
“Do you know how much this small piece of Vibranium ore costs?”
“It’s worth a brand-new top-tier supercar!”
“Can you believe it?”
Handing the jar to Qi Jun, Tony exaggeratedly showed a ‘shocked’ expression.
