Marvel Start With Reality Stone - Chapter 73
Driving the Knight XV through envious gazes, Qi Jun sped to his group’s headquarters in Queens. Qi Jun did not intend to set up a shop in Manhattan and become Tony Stark’s neighbor. His strength wasn’t yet enough to confront the likes of the Ancient One and Odin head-on.
Before obtaining the Tesseract, Qi Jun didn’t want to disrupt the plot too much. Although Tony Stark had already blacklisted S.H.I.E.L.D., meaning he wouldn’t join the Avengers, as long as Qi Jun didn’t interfere with Thor’s story, the main events of “The Avengers” would still unfold. Loki, leading the Chitauri army to attack New York, would happen regardless. The Tesseract’s activation required immense energy, and nowhere else had more than Stark Tower in Manhattan. Qi Jun didn’t want his building destroyed, even if it was just for fun. His toys were for him to play with, not for others to break.
Despite using entirely covert and unknown resources, Tony Stark’s ability to purchase a building in Queens as the headquarters demonstrated what true wealth meant.
“Sir, all the initial preparations are complete.”
“We are currently working on two projects: acquiring the weapon research and manufacturing department from Stark Industries and merging with a pharmaceutical company that has its own manufacturing plant.”
“Both projects are progressing well, but our remaining funds are running low.”
“We need more capital investment.”
Harry Henrys, temporarily acting as the general manager, was a top Wall Street elite secretly trained by the Stark family. But Qi Jun knew him by another title: ‘Stark Family Death Servant’.
“Alright, I understand.”
“New funds will be transferred to the company account soon.”
“For now, you will continue to act as interim manager. You can return once the new CEO takes over and gets familiar with the operations.”
Qi Jun waved him off.
“Yes, sir!”
For Harry Henrys, assigned by the Stark family to assist Qi Jun in building the group, his job was to perform his duties well. As a specially trained death servant, he didn’t need to know the reasons—just follow orders.
Harry Henrys bowed and left the chairman’s office.
“Tsk tsk.”
“This world of vile capitalism.”
“The big families and wealthy individuals are really something.”
“It’s 2023, and there are still operations like death servants!”
Watching the door close, Qi Jun clicked his tongue and sighed.
“White, you heard him.”
“Transfer a billion dollars to the company account.”
“Once everything is on track, our name will be renowned worldwide!”
Drumming his fingers on the table, Qi Jun spoke to the air.
“Understood, sir!”
“Funds have been transferred to the company account.”
With abilities akin to Jarvis, these operations were simple for White. Since Qi Jun’s return to Earth yesterday, White has been transferring funds from dormant accounts in various banks. Despite only drawing funds from one year’s worth of dormant accounts, Qi Jun quickly amassed billions of dollars. Becoming the world’s richest man was effortless, but Qi Jun felt no excitement.
While White manipulated these accounts to avoid suspicion and global panic, the Mutated Stone altered reality. All relevant personnel’s memories were modified, making the billions entirely legal and legitimate. Though modifying the consciousness of sentient beings consumed a lot of energy, it was a large number Qi Jun initially thought impossible to accumulate. However, a quick teleport to his Venus space station to soak up some solar energy replenished all his reserves, and he returned to Earth instantly.
After merging with the Perfect Superhuman Bloodline, Qi Jun no longer felt the suffocating pain when reaching energy absorption limits, only a slight swelling sensation.
“From now on, you will take over the entire group.”
“Use Stark Industries’ management model as a reference to assist the management team.”
“Primarily, you will monitor the entire group, identifying each employee and assigning them levels.”
“Agents and spies don’t need to be dealt with but limit their promotion, ensuring they remain ordinary employees.”
“Yes, sir!”
After giving White additional computing tasks, Qi Jun began pondering who should be the group’s president. Harry Henrys, a Stark family death servant, and the current executives, all from Stark’s death servant ranks, were temporary. Even if Tony Stark offered them, Qi Jun had no intention of keeping them.
Scratching his head, Qi Jun thought about recruitment. Who knew what kind of people this Marvel world would provide? That thought was truly headache-inducing.
“Maybe Skye?”
When he had used his super-hearing earlier, Qi Jun seemed to hear a girl praying to find her biological parents. He wasn’t sure if it was Skye, but a lone girl searching for her parents sounded plausible.
“It could work.”
“In the original story, this poor girl, though manipulated by S.H.I.E.L.D., became a top agent and even Director of S.H.I.E.L.D. for a while.”
“Her leadership skills are definitely up to the task!”
Drumming his fingers on the table, Qi Jun considered it viable.
“Alright then, Operation Save Skye, begin!”
