Marvel Start With Reality Stone - Chapter 80
Throwing the unconscious Gordon aside, Qi Jun suddenly staggered and almost fell. The sudden depletion of a significant portion of his energy left him momentarily disoriented. However, this discomfort lasted only a brief moment and didn’t cause any real harm.
Feeling the energy within his body, Qi Jun realized he had lost more than half of it.
“Damn it! Even during testing, it never drained this much! I’m supposed to be in a Superman-level body, holding almost ten thousand points of energy within me! Just bringing Gordon along for a teleportation should not have drained so much energy.”
Due to using the Mutated Stone to imprint a part of his life force onto the spatial rules of the Marvel Universe, Qi Jun could teleport freely within it without any energy consumption, provided he had been to the location or had a real image of it. But he also knew that bringing someone else along would draw energy from his body to facilitate their teleportation.
Qi Jun had previously experimented by teleporting a small white rabbit from Earth to the space station on Venus, and the energy consumption was negligible. This led him to believe that teleporting a person wouldn’t consume much energy either.
To his surprise, this time, bringing Gordon along had drained more than half of his energy—equivalent to almost seven or eight thousand points if converted to the Mutated Stone’s absorption rate.
“Dammit!”
Qi Jun kicked Gordon in frustration. “Almost drained me dry!”
Of course, Qi Jun dared to teleport someone else because he knew it wouldn’t ultimately harm him. According to the spatial rules imprinted, if his energy was exhausted, it would then draw from the person being teleported. If their energy was depleted, it would start drawing their life force until there was nothing left.
This meant that if the person being teleported died, only Qi Jun would remain, and he could teleport as he pleased. Thus, he had no qualms about bringing Gordon to the space station on Venus.
Wait a minute… Could it be because of Gordon’s own spatial abilities? Or was it because Gordon was much stronger than the rabbit? Gordon vs. a rabbit…
So, if I grab Thanos and teleport, will he get drained of energy and life force quickly? Hmm, maybe not. Thanos is at least at an Elder God level, if not higher. Still, it’s a thought worth testing if the opportunity arises.
“Alright, I’ll let you off this time for Skye’s sake!”
“Whether you can return to Earth is your problem now.”
Qi Jun grinned mischievously.
Gordon’s spatial teleportation ability worked by sensing spatial nodes on the planet he was on. Now that he was on Venus, he wouldn’t have any nodes to sense.
“Taibai, keep an eye on Skye and open the projection so I can see.”
“Also, open the solar sail. I need to train.”
Lying back in his custom-made chair, Qi Jun issued his commands.
As Taibai projected the scene of Skye, the space station’s protective shells began to open, allowing more sunlight to flood in and focus on Qi Jun.
“Ah, so comfortable!”
Feeling his energy quickly replenished, Qi Jun thoroughly enjoyed it. Soon, his depleted energy was fully restored, but he continued to bask in the sunlight until his body began to feel a slight swelling pain, signaling that it was enough. He then had Taibai close the solar sail.
“Perfect-level Kryptonian bloodline is amazing!”
“Just one day of rest and my strength has already grown slightly.”
“Looks like I need to train here on Venus regularly.”
Feeling the familiar swelling pain and seeing the energy level in his mind, Qi Jun was delighted.
One hundred and one thousand! An increase of one thousand from before returning to Earth!
This seems to be a highly efficient way to build a foundation and improve strength simultaneously. No wonder Superman in the comics always returns to Earth after absorbing energy in space to play hero. This method clearly works!
“Hmm…”
“Initially, I manifested a Terrigen crystal large enough to activate the abilities of all the Inhumans to give Skye a solid foundation. But that invisible energy wave attracted Gordon. I wonder if it also caught the attention of the Ancient One.”
“Damn, what a hassle!”
“Seems like I need to manifest some magical abilities too.”
“Kamartaj’s magic? Pfft, except for space and time manipulation, it’s a disgrace to the name of magic!”
“Kamartaj’s magic involves drawing, borrowing, renting, or even stealing energy from other dimensions rather than cultivating magical elements. That’s why they can’t cast spells like Firestorm, Meteor Shower, or Plague of the Undead.”
“With Superman’s abilities, Kamartaj’s magic is useless to me, except for space and time magic!”
“So, should I manifest Hogwarts magic? Hah, not likely.”
“I have the Mutated Stone; I need something even more powerful!”
“Wait, I got it!”
“I remember reading a novel about a powerful dragon in a magic world.”
“Hmm, I wonder if there’s any useful magic in there.”
“Let me think…”
