Marvel Start With Reality Stone - Chapter 85
In reality, Qi Jun had no delusions of luck. The appearance of the eyeless man from the Inhuman race already informed Qi Jun that the powerful energy waves emitted when Skye shattered the large Terrigen crystal had been detected by others and various organizations.
The Reality Stone’s passive absorption only worked on energy that directly hit Qi Jun, ignoring any dispersed waves. These dispersed energy waves had attracted the attention of nearly all global organizations with extraordinary energy capabilities.
The eyeless man from the Inhuman race arrived first, not just because of the mutual sensing ability among Inhumans but also due to his space teleportation ability. Naturally, this guy also had the most accurate sense.
Why is that? Because the glass cube Qi Jun conjured had the characteristic of weakening or even completely absorbing energy waves. Qi Jun had initially planned to act quietly. However, he underestimated the resonance of Skye’s seismic abilities, which did not fully absorb or weaken the energy waves from shattering the Terrigen crystal. Ultimately, with the seismic boost, the energy waves spread out.
The eyeless man from the Inhuman race located the exact spot using his unique sensing ability for Inhumans and appeared directly on the observation deck.
As for other organizations, while they also detected the strong energy waves, they could only narrow it down to the general area of Queens, New York. Of course, S.H.I.E.L.D., which had been deeply monitoring New York, managed to narrow it down to the block where Qi Jun’s company was located.
Qi Jun placed Skye into the alternate space but remained outside primarily to await the arrival of the Ancient One. Although he didn’t know that his actions in the desert had already drawn the Ancient One’s attention and secret observation, he was certain that his current ‘daring’ operations would attract her attention, at least that of the New York Sanctum. And what difference does it make if the New York Sanctum notices compared to the Ancient One?
…
“Please, have a seat!”
Qi Jun showed no change in his demeanor with the appearance of the Ancient One. He returned to his tea table, waved his hand, and conjured a new tea set.
This wasn’t because Qi Jun had become arrogant and felt safe revealing his ability to conjure items freely. Instead, he was confident that the Ancient One wouldn’t discern the true principle behind his actions, likely perceiving it as a form of space manipulation. After all, he had just demonstrated the ability to conjure an alternate space similar to the Mirror Dimension.
In fact, the Ancient One admired Qi Jun’s spatial control ability, which exhibited no spatial fluctuations.
“This is Mingqian Dragon Well tea from the East. Please try it.”
Seeing the Ancient One seated opposite him, Qi Jun brewed a cup of tea and offered it. Qi Jun genuinely respected the Ancient One for her centuries-long dedication to protecting Earth from other-dimensional threats. He knew that to extend her time as Earth’s protector until she found a suitable successor, the Ancient One had even drawn power from the Dark Dimension, continuously resisting its corruptive influence.
“Indeed, this is excellent, genuine Mingqian Dragon Well tea.”
“Do you like black tea? I also have some Da Hong Pao in my collection, which you might enjoy.”
The Ancient One savored the tea, a look of enjoyment crossing her face. For someone who had lived so long, tea was the perfect companion, helping to calm the mind and resist dark influences.
“Hehe, thank you, Master.”
“Allow me to introduce myself: Qi Jun, from the East, a space mage.”
Qi Jun stood up and performed a formal greeting, following the etiquette of an elemental mage as imprinted in his soul.
“Greetings, Grand Mage Qi Jun.”
“I am the Ancient One, from Kamar-Taj, of the Vishanti line, the current Sorcerer Supreme.”
Seeing Qi Jun’s gesture, the Ancient One’s pupils contracted slightly. This etiquette was unlike that of any other mage or wizard factions on Marvel Earth. She quickly had a rough idea about Qi Jun’s origin and returned the greeting in Kamar-Taj’s manner.
“Grand Mage Qi Jun, may I ask your views on the current state of Earth?”
With her suspicions in mind, the Ancient One proceeded to probe Qi Jun.
“Oh, my views?”
“My view is… Earth is about to face great calamities.”
Qi Jun glanced at the Ancient One, sipped his tea, and slowly spoke.
