Marvel Start With Reality Stone - Chapter 90
Qi Jun had no idea that he had inadvertently destroyed—not just damaged—the first space-air carrier that S.H.I.E.L.D. had just manufactured and was testing in high altitude. Even if he did know, Qi Jun wouldn’t take the blame! He had already expended extra energy to divert the space collapse energy upwards to avoid destroying New York entirely. If the test had been scheduled differently, this wouldn’t have happened. If anyone were to blame, it should be the Ancient One for forcing his hand with her tricks.
Qi Jun himself was still shaken by the power of the space collapse technique. Using the Mutated Stone to create the point of collapse, Qi Jun had a profound and terrifying understanding of its destructive force. Being the closest to such a force, Qi Jun knew that if he hadn’t been prepared, he wouldn’t have had the time to teleport away and would have been obliterated entirely.
Shaking off these chaotic thoughts, Qi Jun felt his body rapidly recharging with energy. Activating the Mutated Stone’s absorption mode, Qi Jun began to recover. The battle with the Ancient One had drained him completely, and without the cost-free Mind Warp ability, he might have become the first transmigrator to accidentally kill himself.
Despite the intense battle, Qi Jun had gained valuable insights, especially after creating the collapse point. The terrifying experience provided him with considerable growth. With Skye still in her “cocoon” and needing time to adjust to her newly activated powers, Qi Jun decided to stay in the Venus space station for a while to train.
Qi Jun wasn’t worried about the Ancient One. With her numerous artifacts and the Time Stone, she would be fine.
…
A portal opened on the ruined observation deck of the Enterprise building.
“Supreme Sorcerer! What happened to you? I came as soon as I received your message. How did you get injured? Where is the enemy?”
A chubby Asian man named Wong stepped out of the portal, instantly summoning two golden shields upon seeing the Ancient One. He looked around cautiously before dispelling the shields and helping the Ancient One to her feet.
Seeing Wong, the Ancient One opened her eyes weakly. “Wong, help me back!”
“Yes, Supreme Sorcerer! What happened here? I felt a massive energy explosion. Should I call Mordo and Kaecilius?”
“No! Don’t call them! And do not reveal what happened here. Just help me back.”
Feeling the extent of the damage to her artifacts, a flash of fear and an unreadable emotion passed through the Ancient One’s eyes as she spoke.
“Understood, Supreme Sorcerer!”
Wong nodded, ceasing his inquiries. He helped the Ancient One through the portal, which closed behind them, leaving only footprints in the rubble.
As Qi Jun predicted, the Ancient One had her ways. Even severely injured and nearly immobilized, she could summon assistance.
Moments after Wong and the Ancient One left, several figures emerged from the stairwell, including Stark family loyalists like Harry Henry. They quickly scanned the ruins but found no sign of their director, Qi Jun. Without a word, they erased any traces left by the Ancient One and Wong, ensuring the area looked like a natural disaster site before silently retreating.
…
Soon, engine noises filled the air. Though nothing was visible, the sound of engines circled the ruined Enterprise building.
After a thorough scan, an invisible Quinjet descended, and a few figures disembarked, including Clint Barton, who held a bow with quivers on his back.
“Barton, survey the area!”
An unseen voice commanded through his earpiece. “This is the epicenter of the energy blast. Be cautious!”
“Understood.”
Barton acknowledged, his sharp eyes scanning the surroundings. He waved his team forward, and they began a systematic search of the ruins.
The team completed their investigation quickly, boarding the Quinjet and leaving. Shortly after, more engine noises filled the air, with various invisible aircraft circling before leaving.
This series of visits lasted for several hours, with different aircraft checking the site without revealing their origins.
In the end, Enterprise became infamous worldwide due to this event.
