Marvel Start With Reality Stone - Chapter 97
After two whole hours, Qi Jun discovered that Chthon’s Notebook seemed to contain endless knowledge.
For two hours, Qi Jun had been reading the most basic black magic, and after two hours, he was still reading basic black magic! The key was there wasn’t a single repetition! Jeez! This was just terrifying! It seemed that this notebook, no thicker than a dictionary, must have been enchanted with space folding and permanence magic!
Suddenly, Qi Jun wondered: if he recycled this thing with the mutation stone, how much energy would it be worth?
After considering it, he decided to try it! Qi Jun communicated with the mutation stone and attempted to recycle the “Chthon’s Notebook” in his hand.
The next second, the feedback from the mutation stone made Qi Jun’s jaw drop. “Ten million energy points!!!”
Whoa! That much?! Wouldn’t it be worth twenty million energy points if that’s the base price? And this was just one of Chthon’s notebooks! Damn! Ancient gods are really no joke!
This realization brought Qi Jun back to reality, deflating his earlier sense of invincibility.
The world was still full of deep mysteries… he couldn’t afford to get cocky! He had to keep developing quietly and avoid unnecessary risks.
Suddenly, Qi Jun sensed a massive energy reaction from the composite mirror space he had set up on Venus. The entire space was shaking!
But Qi Jun didn’t panic; instead, he smiled and said, “Skye has finally completed her awakening!”
With a **Mind Teleportation**, Qi Jun appeared in the mirror space.
Instantly, he felt countless shockwaves trying to penetrate his body.
But unfortunately for them, the powerful energy fluctuations were instantly absorbed by the mutation stone, leaving Qi Jun unscathed.
Of course, Qi Jun didn’t care about that.
Protected by the mutation stone, Qi Jun didn’t bother casting any defensive spells. He teleported directly in front of Skye.
At this moment, Skye looked panicked, trying to control her awakening powers but utterly at a loss. To Qi Jun, she looked truly pitiable.
Having just awakened and unable to control her rapidly growing powers, Skye had become an infinite source of vibration! She was constantly emitting shockwaves of varying frequencies.
Under these endless and powerful shockwaves, the entire mirrored Venus was shaking, its lava-filled surface erupting violently, with thick smoke and dust starting to fill the atmosphere.
“I-I don’t know why this is happening.”
“Really! I can’t control the power inside me.”
“Waaah, this isn’t my fault, waah waah!”
Previously, Skye had tried to stay strong alone, but seeing Qi Jun suddenly appear before her, the man who had broken through all her psychological defenses, she collapsed and began to cry.
“All right, all right.”
“It’s not your fault! No one blames you.”
Smiling, Qi Jun walked up, holding Skye in his arms and gently patting her back, comforting her softly.
Seeing Skye’s state, Qi Jun thought she might not realize she wasn’t on Earth anymore. Shaking his head with a rueful smile, he thought of her situation.
“Waaah!”
The more Qi Jun spoke, the more Skye cried.
As a fellow orphan, or at least Skye was currently still an orphan, Qi Jun completely understood her feelings.
After being forcibly brought here by Qi Jun and learning about her ‘temporary short life,’ discovering she was an orphan due to a conspiracy and was to be trained as a super soldier by a massive dark force, and even learning about her parents and her people, it was surprising she hadn’t broken down sooner.
So what if she cried now? It was better to vent! But seeing Skye’s increasingly sorrowful tears causing more and more seismic waves, Qi Jun’s mouth twitched. Emotional fluctuations really did amplify superpowers!
Blowing gently, a sudden gale swept away the accumulating smoke and dust, clearing the view.
Seeing the clear surroundings, Qi Jun nodded. A super hurricane was useful sometimes!
After a while, Skye’s sobs grew quieter, and her trembling shoulders began to calm.
Just as Qi Jun thought she had fallen asleep, Skye gently pulled away from his embrace.
Looking at Qi Jun shyly, she noticed his shirt was wet with her tears, and her face blushed like a ripe apple.
“I-I’m sorry.”
Her small hands twisted together, displaying a shy demeanor.
Uh… well, Skye was still a young girl after all. No! She was eighteen, no longer a little girl, and could legally marry in most states of the United States!
“It’s okay.”
“Do you feel better now?”
Qi Jun reached out and ruffled Skye’s hair.
“Mm-hmm.”
She shrank her neck and felt the large hand on her head, surprisingly enjoying the sensation. Now, Skye was not yet the experienced, bold woman she would become.
Feeling shy, Skye looked around to divert her attention.
She suddenly realized that her uncontrollable powers were still emitting shockwaves, but around Qi Jun, it was calm and undisturbed by her powers.
“You have superpowers too?”
Skye, finally realizing this, looked at Qi Jun in surprise.
“How could you think I didn’t? Did you forget how I brought you out of the KFC?”
Qi Jun laughed helplessly. Was this girl really that slow? How many days had it been?
