Marvel Start With Reality Stone - Chapter 98
“Ah!”
Skye’s face turned bright red at Qi Jun’s words.
Yeah, he had instantly taken her from the KFC; how could he not have superpowers? “Are you an Inhuman too?” Skye asked cautiously.
“No.”
Qi Jun answered with a smile, “Not everyone with superpowers is an Inhuman.”
“The world is a deep and complex place…”
Thinking about the information Tai Bai had uncovered on Earth, Qi Jun shook his head. While this world didn’t have mutants and wasn’t as extremely dangerous as the comic universe, the threats here were still significant!
“Alright, you should first get used to your superpowers. The forces on Earth will be explained to you when we return.”
“Oh.”
Skye nodded, somewhat understanding. Since Qi Jun said he wasn’t, then he wasn’t. She also stopped wondering why her shockwaves disappeared around him.
“Huh.”
“This place is so strange!”
As Skye prepared to train her new abilities, she turned and realized something extraordinary. “Does Earth have such places?”
“Oh, this is Venus! The second planet from the Sun!”
Qi Jun didn’t joke and told her directly.
“What?! That’s impossible!”
Having gone through high school, Skye knew that Venus was the second planet from the Sun. But how could she believe that she was on Earth one moment and then suddenly on Venus? Was she dreaming?
“What are you doing?”
Qi Jun curiously watched Skye slap her cheeks and continued explaining, “My abilities are not just about absorbing your shockwaves! In fact, I am a spatial mage!”
“Hehe.”
Seeing Skye’s eyes widen in surprise, Qi Jun chuckled. “I’m not a magician who performs tricks, but a real mage! I can travel through the universe using space magic!”
“Venus is a high-temperature planet, mostly mountains and lava pits, with surface temperatures between 400 and 500 degrees Celsius and atmospheric pressure 90 times that of Earth! Without the subspace magic I used, you couldn’t stand on Venus. The surface temperature alone would vaporize you!”
“What you see here is a projection of the main world. It’s real and fake at the same time! Real, because it looks identical to the main world, with the same properties. Fake, because no matter how much you destroy in this subspace, everything in the main world remains unchanged!”
Seeing Skye’s confused yet impressed expression, Qi Jun found it amusing.
“Alright, I’ve said enough. Feel free to go wild here!”
“Even if your shockwaves shatter the entire planet, it’s fine!”
“Follow your instincts and get used to your new powers. I’ll get you some things.”
With that, Qi Jun left a baffled Skye and opened a portal, stepping through.
“Remember, don’t leave through this portal until you’ve mastered your powers!”
Qi Jun didn’t close the portal but left it open. Unlike when she was in her cocoon, now that Skye was awake, she might feel scared in this desolate place.
Leaving the portal open would prevent her from feeling too afraid or overthinking.
“I’ll do my best!”
Seeing Qi Jun still on the other side of the portal, Skye felt confident about controlling her awakened powers, despite having no idea how to start.
Qi Jun wasn’t lying. After passing through the portal, he manifested two vials of body-enhancing serum, each worth 500 energy points.
Skye’s shockwave ability was powerful. If fully developed, it could shatter the universe or even time and space! But first, her body had to withstand the recoil of such powerful shockwaves.
The serums Qi Jun manifested would, in conjunction with Skye’s powers, make her formidable on Earth. The Terrigen crystal he had used to awaken Skye’s powers had set her on a much higher starting point than in the original story. If the Skye from the show could eventually quake the Earth apart, this more powerful Skye could do even more.
Of course, shockwaves alone wouldn’t be enough in the universe. Along with the spatial teleportation from the Blindfold Man, Qi Jun planned to teach Skye space magic and mirror dimension magic.
With these three abilities, combined with her shockwaves, she could make a name for herself in the universe. To help her grow stronger quickly, Qi Jun also manifested a pile of physics books, especially those about different wave frequencies. Once Skye had basic control over her powers and stopped shaking everything around her, she could begin targeted training.
After doing all this, Qi Jun picked up “Chthon’s Notebook” again, starting to read more interesting sections.
A treasure worth twenty million energy points deserved time and attention! But as he read, Qi Jun had another idea.
Could he modify “Chthon’s Notebook” into a skill book? Without hesitation, Qi Jun communicated with the mutation stone.
The feedback from the mutation stone made Qi Jun smile with satisfaction, but then his face fell.
The mutation stone could indeed modify “Chthon’s Notebook” into a skill book. However, the required energy was beyond what Qi Jun could afford right now.
