Nagato in One Piece - Chapter 11
Three days after, the sound of Shandora’s bell rang once more.
In the Grand Line, at the city of water, Water 7.
On this day, at the coastal edge of this city known for gathering the world’s best shipwrights, with its beautiful blue water scenery and magnificent large fountains, a gigantic shadow descended from the sky.
Ding, dong!
A loud, melodious sound echoed as a figure landed on the shore. The dazzling Golden Bell and its massive golden tower came with this person.
And finally, a golden ship splashed into the sea, causing waves to burst skyward!
When the people at the shore witnessed this incredible scene, the news quickly spread throughout the city, reaching every corner of Water 7 and, soon, the entire city…
Exploded with excitement!
Back on Skypiea.
“You can take off the bandages now,” Chopper said happily as he walked into the crew’s resting quarters on the Golden Merry, which was docked in the cloud sea by Angel Beach. He checked Luffy’s condition and smiled, “The injuries have mostly healed! Luffy, you’re amazing!”
“Thank goodness,” Nami said with relief as she stood nearby. “The injuries were so frightening that day. It’s a relief they weren’t as bad as they seemed.”
Nami didn’t finish her sentence, but it was clear she had been very worried.
Robin, Sanji, and even the sleeping Zoro, who had recovered, were all gathered in the room, finally able to relax and share the good news about Luffy’s recovery.
Only Luffy himself didn’t seem as cheerful.
The usually carefree boy lay on the bed, staring blankly at the ceiling. “Nami, I’m sorry I couldn’t keep the gold for you.”
“Huh?” Nami was taken aback, then forced a smile to comfort him. “What are you talking about? We weren’t supposed to take the Golden Bell anyway, right? Besides, we got plenty of gold from that big snake’s belly.”
“No…” Luffy sat up, looking at his hands as if he wanted to say something but couldn’t find the words.
At this moment, Zoro, sitting in the corner, opened one eye, silently watching Luffy. “Hey, Luffy, don’t make them worry about you.”
Zoro’s cold remark silenced him, and then he closed his eye again, thinking: You’re the captain. If you waver, what will happen to these people?
Hearing Zoro, Luffy paused, then clenched his fists and smiled confidently like before. “Right!”
He turned to Nami, Chopper, Sanji, and Robin. “I’ve figured it out. I need to get stronger!”
“Huh—?” Nami was puzzled by Luffy’s sudden declaration.
Chopper’s eyes sparkled as he looked at Luffy like an idol.
Robin smiled while Sanji lit a cigarette quietly.
“That’s right,” Luffy confirmed. “If I stay like this, I can’t protect anything. I have to get a lot stronger, stronger than I was just now, stronger the next second!”
“Hehe, exactly!”
Bang—!
Nami chopped Luffy down with a karate chop, yelling with sharp teeth, “Idiot, what nonsense are you talking about? You really made us worry for nothing!”
Their antics ended with Robin’s laughter, and at that moment, Usopp’s voice came from outside the ship.
“Guys!” Even before he appeared, Usopp’s out-of-breath voice signaled his urgency. “Come out quickly!”
What’s happened now?
Their hearts tightened as they rushed out of the crew quarters, only to find Usopp standing before them, laden with bags but unharmed.
His bags weren’t important—everyone knew he had been out collecting materials and various shells from Skypiea. As everyone wondered why he was so urgent, their eyes fell on what he was holding, and those who understood realized why Usopp was so excited.
“This is…”
Water 7.
The news of the gigantic golden bell falling from the sky spread like wildfire, capturing everyone’s attention. Thousands of people from Water 7, along with adventurers, merchants, and pirates from all over, rushed to the golden shore, staring and discussing endlessly.
“Hey, that huge gold bell, is it real?”
“This color is so dazzling! But can something that big really be solid gold?”
“Yeah, it’s hard to believe. They said that bell and tower were brought down from the sky by one person.”
“Right. If it’s all solid gold, how heavy must it be? No one can lift something like that!”
“It’s unbelievable, but…don’t forget, there’s also that large ship. It was brought down too. If the bell and tower could be gilded, that ship is definitely real, and its weight can’t be faked!”
“Are you saying…”
“No matter how unbelievable, if someone brought that ship down, they could have brought the heavy golden bell and tower too, which means…they might be real!”
People surrounded the golden bell and tower, all with ideas about the stunning gold. But despite their desires, no one dared approach and touch the gold. It wasn’t just the speculation about the terrifying person who brought it but also the hundred or so people already knocked down around the bell by their own greed.
“Who is this guy?”
“To bring something so huge and heavy from the sky, he’s a monster!”
“Why’s he just sitting there? Is he dead or asleep?”
“From the time the gold fell and he sat there, it’s been an hour. But don’t think of messing with him. Anyone who approaches within ten meters of the bell gets blown away, just like those lying on the ground. Who knows if they’re alive or dead?”
“It’s maddening to see this shocking gold right in front of us, but we can only look…”
“Who says—we can only look?”
A rough voice came from the back of the crowd. They turned to see a burly man over two meters tall, his face twisted into a snarl, showing his broken, blood-stained teeth. Behind him were several vicious-looking pirates armed with weapons.
“That’s…”
“Captain of the notorious Cannibal Pirates, with a bounty of 47 million berries, ‘Big Blood Tooth’ Samuel!”
“And his crew, each one notorious and bloodstained!”
“Move, these guys are killers!”
Samuel strode straight to the golden bell, shoving aside anyone too slow to move, shouting arrogantly, “Everyone clear out! The gold here is mine!”
The crowd quickly backed away, but most stayed to watch from a safer distance.
“You want the gold?” Suddenly, a figure kicked Samuel aside and rushed to the bell. “You’ll have to fight for it!”
“Rope haul, wood marker!”
As he spoke, many sturdy ropes shot out, looping around the golden bell and tightening, binding it firmly.
“Ha! Got it!” A blond man with goggles grinned. “Wonder how much will be left after paying off my debts…”
“Hmm! Hmm…?”
But he couldn’t finish his sentence, straining to pull the bell, his face turning red.
The bell moved slightly but only scraping the ground slowly like a tortoise.
“It’s Barry from Dock One of the Galley-La Company!” The crowd quickly identified the man, pointing him out.
“He’s gone too far, trying to steal gold to pay off debts!”
“But he can’t move it…”
“Watch out, Barry!”
“Ha! It’s real gold!” Before Barry could react to the warning, Samuel had rushed over, punching Barry away. Laughing arrogantly, he said, “Fool! Can’t move the gold and still try to take it from me!”
He turned to his men, shouting, “Boys, we’ve hit the jackpot! Move the gold with me!”
Cheering, twenty or thirty pirates charged at the gold.
Just as they felt triumphant, a terrifying force hit them head-on like a heavy bulldozer. Instantly, all the running pirates, including the fearsome ‘Big Blood Tooth’ Samuel with his high bounty, had their bones crushed, spraying blood as they flew back!
“Regenerating chakra took some time.”
“Sorry for the misunderstanding, but this gold isn’t up for grabs.”
The red-haired man in front of the golden bell stood up!
