Nagato in One Piece - Chapter 2
Yahiko and Konan’s lifelong wish was to end the chaos and bring peace to the world. Such a vast and arduous task would have been impossible for the original Nagato, who would have been crushed countless times.
However, twenty years in the Shinobi world granted Nagato immense power beyond the original story and gave him leadership skills and significant organizational experience. This made Akatsuki’s utopia seem less like an unreachable dream and more like a tangible goal for the current Nagato.
Nagato’s strategy was clear. To accomplish this mission, he needed a force capable of influencing the world’s power dynamics. Building such a force required three essentials: people, territory, and money.
Seizing the moment just after Crocodile’s defeat by Luffy, Nagato recalled the main plot in his mind and formulated a basic plan.
With a set plan and a clear goal, the initial feelings of alienation, anger, and confusion in this new world began to subside.
“Time is of the essence,” Nagato, not one to dawdle, said decisively. “First, I need to determine my current location.”
With a clear purpose, Nagato aimed to figure out his location so that he could move to his next destination.
In the world of One Piece, being alone without a map, compass, or other tools made navigation incredibly challenging. Fortunately, Nagato had the ability to fly using the Deva Path, allowing him to avoid the harsh climates that troubled him most.
Using the Deva Path’s power, Nagato soared into the sky, reaching a height of over 200 meters. From this vantage point, he could see the distant town on the island and immediately flew towards it.
The town was located on the west coast of the island. Locals knew it as a dangerous area filled with lawless individuals, a place of constant brawls, violence, and chaos.
In less than five minutes, Nagato flew from the shore to the town, witnessing the chaos below.
“Hey… hey! How many days has it been like this? Even for this place, it wasn’t this chaotic and dangerous before!”
“Damn it, since that Straw Hat kid caused a commotion, Satchis has gone mad.”
On the not-so-wide street, hundreds of men, either cunning or rough, surrounded a man in a fur coat. This disheveled man wielded a peculiar broad sword, madly slaughtering pirates on the ground, laughing maniacally with each swing.
The man’s ferocity was evident from the fact that no one dared to approach him, only watching from a distance.
However, his terror didn’t stop the onlookers from whispering in fear.
“Satchis is one thing, but we have capable people among us who might escape him. The real problem is that other guy…”
“Yeah, ‘Hyena’ Bellamy! His madness has made this pirate crew even more brutal. He should be called ‘Mad Dog’ now… Anyway, I’m leaving tomorrow. I don’t want to die here…”
“You dare call him that? Are you insane? But you’re right, we should leave before we become his next target.”
Their conversation halted as they noticed the sky darkening. Turning around, they saw someone blocking the sunlight. Recognizing the figure, they immediately fell to their knees, trembling.
“B-B-Bellamy…”
“What are you whispering about?” The tall figure blocked the light, sticking his tongue out like a hyena ready to pounce.
“N-nothing…” The men, too scared to stand or flee, pathetically crawled backward, stuttering their response.
Bellamy showed no mercy, instead smiling cruelly. “Is that so? But I heard someone call me a mad dog, didn’t I?”
“No, of course not…!” The terrified men, once brave sailors, were now on the verge of tears, one even wetting himself in fear.
Bellamy approached, cracking his knuckles. “Not true, huh? Well, I’m a reasonable guy…”
He grabbed the hair of the man who wet himself, lifting him up. “I’ll let it slide if you take one punch from me. But if you don’t survive…”
“Don’t blame me!” Bellamy’s right arm turned into a spring, charging up a punch powerful enough to demolish a house.
Boom!
Everyone’s attention was drawn to the commotion, even Satchis paused his rampage to look.
As a figure flew through the air, it wasn’t the man Bellamy lifted but Bellamy himself!
The crowd looked around in shock, trying to find the cause. They saw a man with red hair and gray eyes with ripple patterns, wearing a black robe embroidered with red clouds, descending from the sky. He stared indifferently at Bellamy, who was now coughing up blood on the ground.
The man spoke, “It seems you’re the top dog here. You should be able to tell me something useful.”
