Nagato in One Piece - Chapter 29
Sugar fell to the ground like a boneless puppet, face down. Her small furry cape covered her back and head, obscuring her face.
Trebol was merely surprised, thinking the Human Path had used some trick. He didn’t realize, nor could he imagine, that Sugar’s soul had been extracted—she was dead beyond saving!
Nagato had indeed restrained himself from easily taking lives, but in Sugar’s case, despite her appearance as a little girl, both her actions and Nagato’s plan justified her death. Thus, the Human Path had killed her swiftly, leaving no chance for Trebol or Sugar to react!
“What a reckless fool, turning into a toy and working obediently would have been fine. Since you insist on causing trouble, I’ll have to give you a harsh punishment…” Trebol enveloped the Human Path in a thick layer of sticky mucus from head to toe, waiting for the pesky insect to suffocate and beg for mercy.
Satisfied with his restraint, Trebol leisurely turned to the fallen Sugar, saying, “Hey… Sugar, are you okay? Are you okay? Hm?”
“Wait a minute…” Trebol paused, tapping his cane and staring at the ceiling, his expression growing fearful, “This guy knocked out Sugar, so he turned back from a toy, which means… all the toys outside are back to normal!”
Boom!
As if in response to Trebol’s realization, outside the executive tower was the underground trade port—a massive, dark world excavated by the Donquixote Family to conduct illicit transactions with various global entities. Here, the labor force consisted of the tens of thousands of toys created by Sugar over eight years.
With Sugar’s death, all toys reverted to their original forms. Soldiers, gladiators, pirates, marines, government officials, animals—everyone and everything enslaved by the Donquixote Family erupted in rebellion!
Trebol transformed into a sticky missile and flew to the window, opening it to look down. He saw chaos: the people and animals that had been toys for eight years were now wreaking havoc on the port, seeking revenge against their oppressors.
Meanwhile, in the Bullfighting Arena…
“Is this some kind of joke…” On the platform, Doflamingo’s face was darker than ever. Unable to produce his signature laugh, he finally lost his composure and roared, “What the hell is Trebol doing!!!”
“Woo—”
Inside the arena, the people of Dressrosa, who had returned to their original forms, were shouting and reminiscing with each other. The arena was a chaotic mess, with even an elephant rampaging through the stands. The entire arena had descended into utter chaos!
It didn’t take much guessing to know that the entire kingdom outside the arena was also in turmoil!
Below the platform, Nagato, Bruno, Lucci, Jabra, and Kaku exchanged glances, reaffirming their coordination.
Nagato and Bruno stood up, blending into the panicked crowd. Using the chaos as cover, Bruno opened an Air Door, and in an instant, the two disappeared, the door closing silently behind them.
In the underground trade port…
“You bastard!” Realizing the magnitude of his blunder, Trebol flew back to the Human Path, enraged, “You dare ruin our eight years of work and effort…”
“I’ll kill you!!!”
Boom, boom, boom, boom, boom, boom…
In an instant, dozens of sticky missiles fired at the immobilized Human Path, blasting through him and the walls of the executive tower.
When the sticky liquid settled, it revealed the Human Path’s body—riddled with holes and utterly destroyed. Even as a Six Paths zombie, he was now truly dead.
Clang, clang!
Only a few indestructible black rods fell from the disintegrated body, making a clear sound as they hit the ground.
“Trebol-sama! The toys have turned back into people and animals, and it’s chaos outside. Please come out and take charge!”
The executive tower’s structure was such that, even in the current crisis, no one could enter to inform Trebol directly. Only a few peripheral family members stood outside, shouting for Trebol’s help.
“Damn it…” Trebol was momentarily at a loss, but he vaguely sensed that the port might not be the most urgent issue. So, he hesitated.
Just then, the Den Den Mushi in his pocket started ringing. Trebol answered, and Doflamingo’s angry voice came through immediately: “What happened to Sugar!!!”
Trebol shuddered at the furious questioning from Doflamingo.
In the Bullfighting Arena…
Nagato and Bruno were inside the extra-dimensional space created by the Air Door Fruit. They had already reached the platform below the Donquixote Family, essentially right under Doflamingo’s feet.
Nagato and Bruno had been waiting there for a while, not making any moves, waiting for Nagato to regain his peak condition.
When the power of the Human Path returned to Nagato after its destruction by Trebol, Nagato immediately commanded, “Bruno, open the door!”
“Who’s there?!” The moment the Air Door opened, Doflamingo sensed the disturbance below.
He kicked off the ground, leaping into the air as a shadow shot from his right hand.
“Overheat!”
Doflamingo’s observation haki was top-tier, and his reaction lightning-fast. Instantly sensing two presences below the platform, he leapt into the air, launching a counterattack in a fraction of a second!
The difference between Doflamingo and his subordinates was stark. By the time Doflamingo’s attack passed between them, his executives had only just realized something was wrong and scattered.
But in the face of what was to come, neither Doflamingo nor his subordinates’ actions mattered…
“Super Shinra Tensei!”
The noisy arena fell silent. Donquixote’s ears were filled with nothing but silence…
Threads snapped, the broadcast screen shattered into shards, the platform crumbled, and a wave of air pressure swept over.
Buffalo, Machvise, Lao G, Gladius, Dellinger, Jora, Baby 5… every one of the family’s executives lost consciousness instantly.
All the executives were thrown into the air, and the invisible force finally struck Doflamingo head-on.
Doflamingo could see nothing, hear nothing, and say nothing. His right hand lost strength, falling to his side. His internal organs shook violently, pulling him back to consciousness for a split second, the shock feeling incredibly real and intense.
But the next second, the sensation disappeared.
His ears still rang, preventing him from hearing anything. His vision darkened, plunging him into endless blackness…
The unstoppable force rolled over Doflamingo, continuing forward and clearing the sky of clouds.
Boom—
After a moment of silence on the ground, the people in the arena regained their hearing. The deafening roar pulled them back to reality—despite Nagato’s efforts to avoid casualties, the immense power of the Super Shinra Tensei and the shockwave it caused had destroyed the entire arena!
More severely, over ninety percent of the ordinary spectators in the arena had been knocked unconscious by the air shockwave, with the remaining few suffering severe tinnitus and struggling to stand!
