Nagato in One Piece - Chapter 4
Seven thousand meters above the seas of Jaya Island, the thick cumulonimbus clouds have formed a spectacular phenomenon known as Sea Clouds. These vast Sea Clouds resemble a broad ocean, supporting the people who live in the sky.
Above the Sea Clouds, another three thousand meters up, is the place the locals call White White Sea. A figure shot out from below the ten-thousand-meter-high White White Sea, trailing clouds behind.
“Found it.”
Flying straight up from Mock Town for several kilometers and then searching an area of about two miles, Nagato successfully found signs of Skypiea. Following the man-made traces in the White Sea, he arrived at the White White Sea, ten thousand meters above.
Looking out, he saw tiny trees and houses barely visible in the white mist, indicating the destination of his journey—Skypiea.
However, Nagato didn’t head there immediately.
Earlier on Jaya Island’s shore, he confirmed that he needed three preparations to promote change and establish Akatsuki’s utopia: people, territory, and money. The purpose of coming to Skypiea was naturally to find the City of Gold on the island, securing the first wealth to establish and develop his forces.
The problem was that many of Nagato’s memories were now blurry. He only remembered that Skypiea had a lot of gold but forgot the exact location of the City of Gold.
However, solving this issue was simple. From what he gathered, the Straw Hat crew had just left Jaya Island. So, according to the story…
“If I find the thunder user and Luffy, following them will lead me to the City of Gold.”
“Rain Tiger at Will Technique!”
He spread his hands towards the sky, channeling enough chakra to rival a tailed beast. After five minutes, ten minutes…
Clouds began to gather, slowly drifting in and covering the entire Skypiea. This unusual phenomenon at ten thousand meters, where no one had ever seen dark clouds, immediately drew the attention of everyone on the island.
The inhabitants of Angel Island looked up at the darkening clouds, feeling a mixture of surprise and anxiety.
“Why are there dark clouds? This is the White White Sea.”
“We live on clouds, is this something created by the God?”
On God’s Island, Enel’s game was nearing its end. The remaining six people standing were in Shandora, the City of Gold. Through a cloud hole created by Enel’s lightning bolt, Enel, Zoro, Robin, Wyper, Gan Fall, and Nami could see the gathering dark clouds above, with raindrops beginning to fall on them.
“Huh, dark clouds on the clouds?” Nico Robin curiously asked at this critical moment with Enel.
Gan Fall, with a heavy face, replied, “No, in my decades of experience, I’ve never seen dark clouds on Skypiea. But…”
Gan Fall stared at Enel, his face even more grim, “I’ve heard that this guy’s homeland, Birka, was destroyed by a terrifying thundercloud.”
“Enel! Is this your doing?”
“Shut up, old man!” Enel’s irritated voice responded.
With a snap, Enel turned into lightning, teleporting beside Gan Fall, his fingers crackling with electricity on either side of Gan Fall’s head.
“Twenty Million Volts, Shock!”
“Sky Knight!”
“Old man!”
Nami and Zoro couldn’t help but shout, but it was in vain. Gan Fall fell to the ground under the terrifying current.
Seeing Enel’s power, even Zoro dared not act rashly, standing his ground with his swords drawn. Meanwhile, Enel, having taken down Gan Fall, leisurely cleaned his ears and looked up, his expression darkening.
“Another sound from the Blue Sea, imitating a god so poorly, it’s annoying.”
“God’s Judgment!”
With a thought, a real lightning bolt suddenly appeared above Nagato, crashing down.
Nagato, sensing the strong aura far away through the rain, noticed the danger above and remained calm. Standing still, his eyes glowed, and he absorbed the lightning that could have turned anyone else into charcoal.
“The thunder user… seems I’ve found him,” Nagato confirmed, stopping the rain abruptly. He used his repulsive force, shooting like an arrow toward Shandora on God’s Island.
Enel, using his Mantra, sensed Nagato’s movements. His face darkened, then he smiled, leisurely saying to the people before him, “Ahahaha, this game is getting more interesting. Another Blue Sea person has arrived, which means…”
Enel looked at Zoro and the others with a predator’s gaze, “One of you will be eliminated!”
Robin, deducing Enel’s power was from the Rumble-Rumble Fruit, felt immense pressure facing him directly. But hearing Enel mention a “Blue Sea person,” she couldn’t help but shift her attention to his words.
“Blue Sea person?” With his three swords drawn, Zoro mumbled through the hilt in his mouth.
“Doctor, Liar…” Robin pondered, “But it’s only one person. Could it be the cook?”
Wyper, having no patience for delays, saw Enel seemingly relax and seized the chance, raising his shoulder cannon and attacking Enel.
“Burn Bazooka!”
The intense flames engulfed Enel, but he was unharmed as a Logia user immune to non-Haki attacks. As the flames cleared, Enel stood intact before Wyper.
“Why so impatient, Wyper?” Enel, towering over two meters, looked down at Wyper, “I was planning to wait for that Blue Sea person to arrive before starting. This way, your chances of elimination would be lower, but now you’ve offended God, so…”
“Got you, Enel!”
Unexpectedly, as Enel was about to unleash his attack, Wyper tackled him to the ground. Enel, the self-proclaimed god who saw others as ants, now showed a face of panic.
“Do you know about Seastone, Enel?” Wyper pressed a Seastone-enhanced Impact Dial to Enel’s chest, snarling, “You’re finished, bastard!”
“Wait…”
Before Enel could finish his plea, Wyper shouted and activated the Impact Dial, blasting Enel. The recoil, enough to be considered suicidal for ordinary people, sent Wyper flying, coughing blood.
“Success!” Nami, hiding behind a rock, jumped up in joy seeing Enel fall.
“Crackle…”
But before they could celebrate for long, the sound of a heartbeat returned.
Using his powers to restart his heart, Enel stood up again!
“Humans are not truly afraid of gods…”
Enel appeared behind Wyper in an instant. A second later, Wyper fell, charred and smoking.
“Only fear is the true definition of a god!”
