Nagato in One Piece - Chapter 56
When Nagato captured the three Supernovas at Grove 1, he was finally stopped.
Meanwhile, a round, plump man was rushing to the scene of the Celestial Dragons’ assault at the Human Auction House. Carrying a gigantic axe on his shoulder, this bizarre man, wearing only a loincloth, was none other than the Navy Science Unit Captain and Vega punk’s bodyguard, Sentomaru!
Sentomaru had already spotted Grove 1 in the distance. As he ran at full speed, he muttered, “The warship should have arrived by now. Strange, why haven’t they contacted me yet, old man Kizaru…”
His face turned serious, “If we don’t hurry, the Warlord will take care of everyone, and the Navy’s reputation will be ruined!”
However, things might not be as dire as Sentomaru feared. Even if he couldn’t catch the main offenders, the old man should at least capture a few to take the blame since he had also arrived.
At the port of Grove 27 on the Sabaody Archipelago, pirates and various criminals were fleeing in disarray because the Navy warship was about to dock!
But something even more terrifying happened. Still some distance from the port, the warship suddenly fired its cannons. As people scrambled to escape, a tall man stood on one of the cannonballs, flying towards the island!
“Hello? This is Kizaru. Hello? I’ve arrived. Please respond…” The man was none other than Admiral Kizaru, Borsalino!
Back at Grove 1.
“Silvers Rayleigh.” After regaining his balance, Nagato turned to the newcomer, saying, “You appeared as expected, but you are not my target.”
“Dark King…” The Marines weren’t surprised to see the newcomer shouting in alarm, “Rayleigh!”
Before Rayleigh could respond, the Straw Hat Pirates at the auction house entrance cried out in shock.
Usopp and Chopper’s eyes bulged, and their tongues trembled like waves, “Ray… Rayleigh!”
Robin also widened her eyes, “The right hand of the Pirate King, ‘Dark King’ Rayleigh…”
Nami was both surprised and delighted, “Uncle, you’re so powerful! Are you here to help us? Please save Luffy!”
Luffy was unconscious in Nagato’s hand, but Zoro, Sanji, and Franky saw what was happening.
Franky, with the lightest injuries, climbed out of a pit, muttering, “I never expected to meet the Pirate King’s companion here. Is he the one who rode Tom’s ship? Too bad Luffy’s unconscious; he’d be thrilled.”
Sanji, who had been thrown away, spat blood and said nothing. He just picked up Zoro and moved behind Rayleigh for protection, glaring at Nagato. Damn it, we’re still no match for this guy, just like on Sky Island! With Luffy in his grasp, we have to rely on this old man!
Zoro, heavily bandaged and bleeding from his injuries at Thriller Bark, still gripped his swords, teeth gritted. He growled at Sanji, “Let go of me, kappa! I swore I wouldn’t lose again until I become the world’s greatest swordsman…”
Zoro’s eyes fixed on Nagato, “I will never lose again!”
With a roar, Zoro found the strength to break free from Sanji, launching another three-sword attack, sending three sharp slashes at Nagato, “108 Caliber Phoenix!”
Boom!
Invisible repulsion scattered Zoro’s airborne slashes, leaving Nagato unscathed.
Zoro tried to charge again, but Rayleigh blocked him with an outstretched arm. Sanji, catching up, grabbed the exhausted and injured Zoro, dragging him away.
Rayleigh glanced back at Zoro over Sanji’s shoulder, smiling, “Well done, future world’s greatest swordsman! But for now, leave it to this old man.”
Gulp…
A fierce battle was imminent with the Warlord of the Sea facing the Dark King. Everyone around, from Marines to the Kid Pirates and the remaining Straw Hat members, swallowed nervously.
Nagato and Rayleigh continued to face each other. Nagato repeated, “I told you, Rayleigh, you are not my target.”
Rayleigh’s smile widened, but his gaze remained sharp, “That’s good to hear. I don’t want to fight a powerful Warlord. But the young man in your hand is my target. Could you do me a favor and hand him over?”
The answer was obvious. Nagato replied, “Sorry, no. He may not be my target, but he is a necessary condition.”
“Then there’s no other way.” Rayleigh’s smile faded as he drew a long sword from under his coat, “I can’t just sit by. Their era is about to begin!”
As he spoke, Rayleigh disappeared.
“The era of pirates will never come,” Nagato said calmly, standing still.
Facing Rayleigh’s vastly superior speed and martial skills, Nagato had to get serious.
Flames roared to life!
“Whoa, whoa, whoa…!” Running across the wooden bridge connecting to Grove 1, Sentomaru nearly stumbled into the sea due to a sudden earthquake. Regaining his balance, he looked ahead and muttered, “This is… too much!”
At Grove 27, on a street.
Basil Hawkins, X Drake, Scratchmen Apoo, and Urouge, all notorious Supernovas, lay defeated at Kizaru’s feet. As Kizaru raised his foot to finish them off, a loud noise interrupted him.
Kizaru looked up towards the sound.
From the direction of Grove 1, a huge pillar of purple fire rose, its massive form visible even from afar.
“Kizayoi…” Kizaru lowered his raised foot, his tone casual, “How surprising. Looks like no need to contact Sentomaru; the main offenders must be there!”
A beam of light shot out as Kizaru transformed into golden light, speeding towards the purple flames.
Simultaneously, a massive figure hurried its pace.
In front of the auction house at Grove 1.
A large section of the ground cracked and crumbled, revealing a massive entity several hundred meters tall.
Rayleigh’s swift approach forced Nagato to use his Sharingan’s ultimate power, summoning the complete Susanoo and ascending to the forehead of the great Tengu.
Rayleigh, charging forward, lost sight of Nagato but faced a divine blade swinging down on him.
Rayleigh’s strength astonished everyone. Unflinchingly, he clashed his sword with the hundred-meter giant blade, forcing it back and even leaving a crack on it!
Marines were left speechless, their faces pale.
But Nagato, high in the Tengu’s forehead, remained calm.
Rayleigh, with a smiling face but a growing headache, thought: This giant form is too much. I’m not Shanks or Mihawk…!
However, the situation worsened beyond the giant Tengu.
Boom!
Two figures landed with a grand entrance, their size making it unsurprising.
“Oh! We made it!” It was Sentomaru and the Pacifista behind him.
“Nyayaya… What a spectacle,” said another tall figure landing in a beam of light, recognizing Rayleigh, “I wondered why there was such a commotion, but catching a big fish like ‘Dark King’ Rayleigh while arresting the newcomers isn’t bad at all!”
It was Kizaru.
The faces of the Kid Pirates, the Straw Hat Pirates, and even Rayleigh grew grim.
A powerful reinforcement and their perceived “Tyrant” Kuma, an Admiral, and the Warlord Nagato, who had been blocking their path all along.
Nothing could be worse!
