Nagato in One Piece - Chapter 6
After their brief excitement, Nami and Robin calmed down. Even though they both believed Luffy to be incredibly strong, they knew his chances against Enel were slim.
While they worried about Luffy’s chances, Enel had already lost his composure due to Luffy’s appearance.
“Damn it, damn it…”
Once composed, Enel now fidgeted nervously, moving his ten fingers constantly. “Another person has appeared, and a little girl too. Doesn’t that mean the prophecy was wrong?”
“Ah!” Enel staggered back in horror. “Did I fail?!”
“???”
Nami and the others watched in bewilderment as Enel fell back, feeling utterly absurd: Could we have won just like that?
Of course not. This was just one of Enel’s occasional neurotic episodes. When he stood up again, his face was terrifyingly grim. Even Nami, who had seen his power, felt a chill, sensing that this Enel was now out for blood, unlike before when he seemed indifferent to their interference.
Enel could be described as a neurotic, self-absorbed lunatic. No one could predict what would set him off, and this time, his unprecedented fury and murderous intent were triggered by an error in his prediction.
“God’s Judgment.” Enel tapped his golden staff on the ground. “Triple Threat.”
“Wah!”
After a blinding flash of lightning, Luffy and Nagato stood unscathed, but Zoro, unable to dodge or resist, was struck by lightning and coughed up blood.
“Zoro!”
Luffy, who had been casually picking his nose, was shocked to see Zoro’s condition and shouted in alarm.
Enel looked coldly at Nami and Robin, as well as the distant Shandian girl, Aisa. His icy gaze made the three women shiver. Then he pointed at Zoro. “I’ll spare the women. That one has been judged by God.”
Turning to Nagato and Luffy, Enel continued, “But you two, what trick did you use to avoid God’s judgment? Hmm?”
“Bastard, I’m gonna knock you out!” Luffy, gently laying down the unconscious Zoro, pressed his straw hat firmly on his head and glared at Enel, shouting, “Enel!!!”
“Let me handle this,” Nagato interjected, stepping before Luffy. “I need that gold, and whether you lose, wasting time, or win, deciding the gold’s ownership would be too troublesome.”
“Ah! Gold!”
Both Luffy and Nami’s expressions changed instantly at the mention of gold.
“Luffy, you must defeat Enel! And don’t let that guy with the weird eyes take the gold!”
“By the way, who are you?” Luffy finally noticed Nagato.
Regardless of his desire for gold or Nami’s orders, Luffy’s anger and determination to defeat Enel were unwavering. So, with a rare serious expression, he told Nagato, “Sorry, but I have to beat this guy myself!”
Without waiting for a response, he dashed towards Enel.
“You seem to misunderstand the situation, insects.” Already furious, Enel’s face twisted even more. He struck the golden drums on his back, summoning two fierce electric dragons that lunged at Luffy and Nagato. “You are the ones going to hell! 60 Million Volts*2, Twin Thunder Dragons!”
“Preta Path: Sealing Absorption Technique.” In an instant, Nagato appeared in front of Luffy, at a speed, Robin, Nami, and Aisa couldn’t see. He absorbed the twin thunder dragons, leaving everyone, including Enel, stunned.
“You damned insect!” Enel glared at Nagato, fear mingling with his anger. Seeing them absorbed was akin to the sky falling to Enel, who relied heavily on his thunder powers.
“Move aside! This is my fight!” Luffy, equally enraged, didn’t attack Nagato but couldn’t stand him interfering in his battle. He charged at Nagato, intending to shove him aside.
“Shinra Tensei!”
Standing between Enel and Luffy, Nagato crouched, crossed his arms, and pushed Luffy away with repulsive force, sending him flying into the clouds covering Shandora.
“Luffy!” Nami screamed in worry as she watched him get thrown back. Both Nami and Robin showed hostility in their eyes.
Crackle…
On the left, Enel reappeared in a burst of electricity, unharmed. His arrogance and confidence returned. “That was a lapse, but even if you can absorb lightning, the body of a god is still invincible. Ahahaha!”
“If lightning is ineffective, try this.” Enel released massive amounts of electricity, melting his golden staff into a sharp trident. “Electromagnetic Spear!”
Arrogantly shouting, Enel lunged with the trident.
“Universal Pull.” Nagato remained calm, extending his right hand toward Enel, pulling him in with even greater speed.
Under the power of the Rinnegan, Enel’s movement was distorted by the external force. Unable to control his body accurately, his attack became full of openings. Nagato deftly dodged the trident and grabbed Enel by the neck.
“Don’t you get it? Your attacks are useless…”
“Cough!”
Enel’s taunting words were cut off by a cough as Nagato tightened his grip.
“I recall Logia users can transform at will.”
Nagato, standing 6’1″, looked at the 6’7″ Enel, who now hung limply, almost kneeling before him.
“That’s why I said, seeing yourself as a god and becoming overconfident exposes your biggest flaw.”
“Why? How did he grab Enel’s physical body?” Nami, on the Ark Maxim, covered her mouth in shock.
Robin observed Nagato carefully, while Zoro, lying on the ground, forced one eye open. None of them understood how Nagato managed without Seastone.
“Human Path: Soul Extraction.” Nagato released Enel’s neck. Robin and the others thought he might spare Enel, but in an unseen dimension, Nagato had already pulled out Enel’s soul.
Silently, the “god” who destroyed his homeland Birka, and terrorized Skypiea for six years was dead!
Thud!
Enel’s body collapsed to the ground, raising dust.
Realizing Enel’s body was lifeless, with no breath or heartbeat, the Straw Hat crew felt a chill despite their relief.
This scene was too eerie.
“What’s with this guy…?” Witnessing the process with his drooping eye, Zoro wasn’t afraid but deeply wary of the man with the Rinnegan.
