Naruto Kirigakure System - Chapter 26
The commander was decided, and the war machine began to turn swiftly.
At this moment, Naoki Kaguya, the newly appointed commander, was not in the village preparing for battle.
He had quietly left the village, heading towards a hidden forest where his bone clone had found Rin Nohara’s hiding place.
Yes.
Naoki didn’t plan to let Rin Nohara rot away in that cave.
After all, only by letting Rin spend enough time under Kirigakure’s sun could he easily manipulate the Sixth Hokage and Uchiha Obito in the future.
Naoki Kaguya smiled.
When Rin realizes that the air in Kirigakure is the sweetest, perhaps one day she will persuade Kakashi and Obito to stay there.
. . . . .
In the dim cave, Rin Nohara stared blankly at the campfire.
If a few days ago, when she first woke up, she still had the desire to escape.
Now, all that had dissipated with the harsh reality.
A dark, ink-like seal covered her, making using her jutsu or chakra nearly impossible.
Opposite the campfire was a powerful masked man.
After several meticulously planned but failed attempts, she no longer hoped to escape from this masked man.
Her vacant eyes showed a hint of death wish.
Should I just die, Rin?
But what if Kakashi is still alive? Should I just die like this?
Thinking this, Rin buried her head between her knees, staring at the scattered stones, her heart filled with despair.
Obito, can you help me?
Kakashi, are you with him?
If you are, I will come to join you soon.
If he is alive.
I will live too, find him, and live on with Kakashi, carrying your dream!
With these thoughts, her tears involuntarily fell, wetting the soil.
“Don’t let your tears fall before you understand the situation, Rin Nohara.”
Rin lifted her head abruptly, recognizing the man through her tear-blurred vision—the Shikotsumyaku user who had defeated Kakashi.
So, the masked man is just his subordinate!
So, I’m still in Kirigakure’s hands?
Her expression became wary, struggling to stand on her weak legs and taking a battle stance.
At this moment, her heart truly felt dead.
“Kirigakure scum, kill me quickly!”
“If you want to extract information about my village from me, it’s a fool’s dream!”
Naoki Kaguya looked at the determined, wary Rin and shook his head.
“Rin Nohara, I never intended to get information about Konoha from you.”
Rin’s expression grew even more cautious.
These Kirigakure scum can’t be trusted!
“Rin Nohara, what I want is for you to join Kirigakure.”
“Impossible!”
Rin laughed hoarsely, looking at Naoki, thinking of the infamous Kaguya clan, she realized.
No wonder he has such an unrealistic idea. How could I, Rin Nohara, ever join Kirigakure?
“Don’t look at me like I’m an idiot, Rin Nohara.”
Naoki said helplessly.
“Everything must be seen with your own eyes. If you agree to do something, you can know Kakashi’s whereabouts.”
“And after that, who knows…”
Naoki fell silent, just watching Rin, waiting for her decision.
Rin stopped speaking, conflicted. She looked at Naoki, biting her lip, making up her mind.
“Kirigakure scum, what do you want me to do? I won’t believe you. Kill me!”
Naoki smiled.
“In that case, Rin Nohara, see something first, and then decide whether to accept my request.”
“Please put on this mask and robe, and watch silently.”
Seeing the mask and robe handed to her, Rin initially felt full of refusal.
But thinking of Kakashi, her emotions changed abruptly, and she took them with trembling hands.
It’s just a mask, just a robe.
As long as there’s a chance to get news of Kakashi, I have to try, no matter how small the hope!
Watching Rin put on the clothes, Naoki spoke calmly.
“Rin Nohara, one last reminder, if you reveal your identity in what’s coming, I can’t guarantee your safety or Kakashi’s.”
“Everyone must learn to take responsibility for themselves.”
With that, Naoki turned, took out several bottles from his robe, and sprayed their contents into the air.
Afterward, he clapped the ground with one hand, covering it with dense sealing scripts.
Poof!
In a burst of white smoke, Pakkun, the ninja dog, sat quietly on the ground, sniffing the air filled with various scents. He frowned and spoke in a low voice.
“Is it Kakashi’s companion? Don’t summon me in such an environment next time.”
Naoki lowered his voice. ” I’m sorry, but this is important, so every bit of information must be handled carefully.”
“Including smell.”
Pakkun looked up, glanced briefly at Naoki, and curiously eyed the trembling kunoichi beside him before covering his nose with a paw to avoid the overwhelming scents.
“If that’s the case, quickly give me what you want to send to Kakashi.”
Naoki nodded, took out a prepared sealing scroll, and turned to the trembling Rin.
“How about it?”
“Just write your name on this, and you can know his whereabouts and future.”
“I won’t deceive you, all information is for you to verify yourself.”
Rin wanted to speak but dared not.
She remembered this man’s warning, trying hard to suppress her voice.
Her strained, stifled sounds evidenced her internal turmoil.
Pakkun is Kakashi’s summoned beast.
This means Kakashi is alive.
The Shikotsumyaku user didn’t lie to me.
With mixed feelings, Rin opened the scroll, seeing only one sentence.
“Tell Rin Nohara what you see, Kakashi.”
“Whether to be a sewer rat or live in the sunlight, it’s your choice.”
This sentence has no impact, right?
Write my name.
Rin looked at the scroll’s content, feeling an ominous premonition.
But.
This letter is really for Kakashi, right?
At least let him know I’m alive with the Shikotsumyaku user!
Rin’s eyes showed determination as she wrote her name on the scroll.
After writing, she felt dazed.
What will the future be like?
Ignoring Rin’s concerns, Naoki took the scroll, sealed it, and handed it to Pakkun.
“This is for Kakashi. Please deliver it.”
Pakkun silently took the scroll, aware of the abnormality but unaffected since Kakashi had forewarned him. He then vanished.
Naoki turned back to Rin.
“While waiting for Kakashi, let’s get acquainted.”
“I’m Naoki Kaguya.”
“Your future companion.”
Meanwhile, in Konoha’s cemetery, Kakashi silently stood before Rin Nohara’s gravestone.
