Naruto Kirigakure System - Chapter 52
“Kill them!”
“Kill those Konoha bastards!”
Almost the moment those eight heads fell, all the Kirigakure ninjas entered a frenzy as if injected with adrenaline.
Orochimaru was defeated by the Kirigakure commander Naoki!
As long as they could defeat these insignificant Konoha ninjas in front of them, they could easily break through into the heart of Konoha.
This was Konoha!
It is the most substantial ninja village in the world.
Under Naoki’s leadership, the oppressed, decaying Kirigakure could defeat the most substantial ninja village in the world. How could they not be excited?
However, as the Kirigakure army advanced wildly, the heart of their commander felt cold.
Seeing the distant figure, he couldn’t help but mutter softly.
Is that Minato?
He involuntarily clenched his teeth.
Why isn’t he on the battlefield with Kumogakure?
…
“What are you doing, Hiruzen?”
Mitokado Homura looked at Sarutobi Hiruzen, who was dressed in battle attire, frowning profoundly and asking with considerable dissatisfaction:
“The battle hasn’t yet reached Konoha itself. Shouldn’t you be staying in the village to ensure everyone’s confidence, rather than going to the battlefield?”
“If I don’t go, who will fill the gap in our combat strength?”
Sarutobi Hiruzen paused, turning to look at Homura, his eyes filled with a fit of rare anger and coldness.
“If we allow someone like Naoki to become the Mizukage, Kirigakure will become the next Kumogakure. We need to eliminate him in this war, or it will be too late.”
“Now, no one in Konoha can stay out of this.”
“Everyone must fight.”
“The children are risking their lives on the battlefield. Should I, the Hokage, stay in the village like a piece of rotting wood?”
These stirring words made Homura pause. His desire to volunteer faded as he struggled to summon the necessary courage.
“And what about Danzo?” Utatane Koharu suddenly spoke up, looking at the bandaged man who had remained silent.
“Danzo also has considerable strength, enough to counter an elite opponent.”
Danzo’s eyes turned cold, ready to voice his well-prepared refusal.
But, familiar with his old friend’s personality and wanting to avoid unnecessary arguments, Hiruzen spoke first.
“To deter those two from Kumogakure, only I can step in.”
“None of you can.”
“Hmph.”
Danzo felt a surge of nameless anger at Hiruzen’s words.
Hokage, always the Hokage.
I am Danzo.
The dark side of Konoha.
To be dismissed so easily?
I need to become Hokage to have the right to be taken seriously.
As he glared at Hiruzen, a sinister thought took root in his mind.
Hiruzen, die on the battlefield!
Then, the Hokage position will be mine.
“Enough.”
Hiruzen glanced around, seeing his friends all silent, and softened his tone.
“No one in Konoha can stay out of this.”
“Homura, Koharu, remember who you once were. You were once invincible ninjas on the battlefield.”
“So, I entrust the village to you.”
Seeing him clenching his fists, he turned to Danzo and sighed inwardly.
“Let’s leave it at that.”
Hiruzen leaped out of the window with those words, speeding towards the Kumogakure battlefield with incredible speed.
Within a day and night, as the full-scale war between Konoha and Kirigakure erupted, he reached the camp between Kumogakure and Konoha.
“Hokage-sama.”
Minato had been waiting at the camp entrance.
Hiruzen nodded slightly.
“Minato, do what you must.”
“Make sure to kill Naoki completely!”
Hiruzen’s eyes flashed with unprecedented sharpness!
“He will be Konoha’s most dangerous enemy.”
“So, Minato, for the sake of future peace, give it your all today.”
“Understood, Hokage-sama.”
Minato nodded slightly, closing his eyes to sense the Flying Thunder God kunai far away.
He muttered to himself.
For the village, you must die.
“I’m going, Hokage-sama.”
With a soft murmur, Minato vanished. At that moment, the Fourth Raikage’s voice echoed again.
“Minato, come and fight!”
Hiruzen chuckled, speaking to the emotional Konoha ninjas around him.
“I wonder if this old man can hold off those two young men from Kumogakure.”
“Victory!”
The enthusiastic shouts filled the camp, reaching the Raikage’s ears. He turned, speaking lightly to the gesticulating Killer Bee.
“Looks like Minato is still there.”
“Now, we wait for the battle report from that brat from Kirigakure.”
“I wonder what he can achieve.”
“Yeah, yeah, bro, the Kirigakure brat is strong, Orochimaru is no match, yeah, yeah.”
“Alright, Killer Bee, look.”
A turned his head, his voice cold as he glared at the distant figure, gritting his teeth.
“That’s Sarutobi Hiruzen!”
“Minato has already gone back.”
“That brat from Kirigakure is in danger!”
…
There is a better time to think about this.
Naokihid himself in an ice mirror, his eyes scanning the battlefield for a suitable place to unleash Dance of the Seedling Fern.
Only Dance of the Seedling Fern could kill Minato.
At that moment, a kunai with unique markings shot near the ice mirror.
Naoki instantly shifted, gliding across the sky.
Focusing, he saw Minato still in place.
Are you still probing?
Naoki swallowed nervously.
The best outcome would be a draw.
So, let’s negotiate for peace.
With a wave, ice mirrors appeared, pushing towards Orochimaru, intending to secure peace quickly.
“Orochimaru.”
“Let’s stop the war.”
“I want to negotiate peace on behalf of Kirigakure.”
Orochimaru turned his neck, smiling wickedly, then suddenly looked towards the forest beside him.
There, the figure of the Yellow Flash appeared.
Far quicker than Orochimaru, Naoki sighed.
So fast.
Minato leaped from the bushes, shielding Orochimaru, and spoke.
“Orochimaru-sama, leave this to me.”
Turning to Naoki, he looked serious.
Since the Hokage demanded his death, I’ll follow orders and use all my strength to kill him quickly.
Then, the war will end sooner!
“Naoki-kun, your opponent is me. Please continue.”
Seeing Minato, Naoki’s eyes turned cold.
