“He didn’t come in?”

After entering Shakuchido, Kakashi hid around a corner, wanting to see who was following him and how many there were, whether they were friend or foes. To his surprise, they didn’t enter the town.

Remembering the teachings of ‘Ry?,’ he didn’t leave immediately. Instead, he continued to stay hidden. After two hours without seeing anyone enter, Kakashi finally revealed himself.

“Did they give up? Or are they waiting outside?”

“Whatever, let’s first find out if there’s any news about Tsunade.”

Murmuring to himself, Kakashi ignored his pursuers for the moment and inquired about gambling dens in Shakuchido to gather information.

Unfortunately, his efforts were in vain. None of the gambling spots had any information about Tsunade. Kakashi wasn’t surprised; he had specifically asked about a busty blonde woman travelling with a little girl and a pink pig—an unforgettable sight. Since no one had seen such a person, Tsunade hadn’t been to Shakuchido.

“She hasn’t even been here, so there’s no clue.”

Kakashi frowned slightly.

“I’ll have to look for clues in the next town.”

He murmured, then quickly left. As he exited Shakuchido, Kakashi was cautious, choosing a concealed path to go, moving stealthily, which slowed him down.

Half an hour later, he abandoned stealth and sped up his pace.

“Something’s wrong! I sense killing intent!”

Barely five minutes later, Kakashi felt a dangerous aura ahead. He stopped, alarmed and alert.

“How is this possible…?”

“They got ahead of me without me noticing their tracks!”

Kakashi was shocked. He was sure these were the people following him earlier. He hadn’t expected them to intercept him so quickly after he left Shakuchido.

“How did they find my location? I didn’t leave any tracks!”

Despite his shock, Kakashi prepared for battle as several kunai and shuriken shot towards him from all directions.

“It’s a trap! They even calculated when I’d discover them!”

Seeing the weapons coming at him from all sides, Kakashi’s eyes narrowed in amazement, his expression becoming grim.

“Ninja Art: Substitution Jutsu!”

With a puff, Kakashi used the Substitution Jutsu to evade the attack, revealing his left eye. In this situation, using his Sharingan would be a good decision.

“Three of them…”

“One at six, one at nine, and one at noon…”

Using his Sharingan, Kakashi quickly identified the locations of his attackers by the flow of their chakra.

“Fire Style: Fireball Jutsu!”

As soon as Kakashi stabilised, a fireball shot towards him.

At the same time, more kunai and shuriken were launched from the other two directions, their trajectories tricky and precise.

“Damn it, that’s a Great Fireball Jutsu!”

“Damn it, it’s the Uchiha clan after me!”

“Damn you, Fugaku!”

The moment Kakashi saw the fire jutsu, his eyes widened. Recognising the Great Fireball Jutsu and the unique way the kunai were thrown, he knew his attackers were from the Uchiha clan. Quickly piecing it together, he realised Fugaku had sent them to kill him.

“Lightning Blade!”

Kakashi’s eyes turned cold when he realised his enemies were from the Uchiha clan. He quickly formed hand signs, summoning the Lightning Blade in his right hand, electricity crackling around it.

“What is that…”

“How is this possible…”

“He condensed lightning in his hand…”

Seeing the Lightning Blade, the Uchiha members were shocked. They hadn’t expected Kakashi to have such a powerful lightning jutsu.

“Hmph! Die! I perfected this technique using my Sharingan. It’s fitting that the second victim of it would be a Uchiha!”

With the Lightning Blade in hand, Kakashi charged at the Uchiha, which had used the fire jutsu. Using his Sharingan to enhance his speed, he moved swiftly.

In a flash of lightning, Kakashi closed in on the fireball.

The Lightning Blade sliced through the fireball, cutting it in half. Without slowing down, Kakashi continued his assault on the Uchiha member.

At the same time, the other two Uchiha members’ weapons missed Kakashi, who had dodged them with his burst of speed.

“This can’t be…”

The Uchiha who used the fire jutsu was stunned as he saw Kakashi’s Lightning Blade cut his technique apart. He saw the lightning streaking towards him but couldn’t react in time.

As a last resort, the Uchiha activated his Sharingan—one eye with a single tomoe, the other with two.

But it was too late.

The Lightning Blade pierced through him, blood spraying as Kakashi’s attack found its mark.
