Naruto Shadow Emperor - Chapter 45
“I’m not a girl…”
“I’m not a girl…”
“I’m not a girl…”
This world is indeed full of malice. How could someone so beautiful not be a girl?
Yukigetsu scratched his head furiously, standing still for a moment, then suddenly burst into laughter.
Haha… I even said I wanted him to marry me… I’m not into boys, no matter how cute they are!
But that voice of his… It wasn’t hidden at the end, and it was slightly androgynous, like I’ve heard it somewhere before.
Yukigetsu rubbed his chin, and the image of the masked boy suddenly floated into his mind.
“Then, I’ll be on my way…”
“I’m not a girl…”
He paused.
That’s right! It’s him!
Thinking back to the farewell words, Yukigetsu suddenly understood. No wonder he said, “Until we meet again,” and seriously fooled me…
Yukigetsu’s eyes sharpened. To think that behind that mask lies such a beautiful face. If he were a girl, I might even be interested in capturing and training him to be a maid, but since he’s a boy… it’s better to just kill him!
Can I defeat him now? I’m really looking forward to it…
Speaking of which, how can I not have a maid as a traveler from another world?
When will I capture a cool goddess to train? As for boys, no matter how cute, they’re not an option!
…
“196, 197, 198…”
As Yukigetsu returned to the house, he heard Sakura’s voice. He curiously peeked inside.
He saw Kakashi doing one-handed, one-finger push-ups with Sakura sitting on his back!
“Not bad, Kakashi. Has your body recovered?” Yukigetsu leaned against the door, speaking casually.
Kakashi continued his push-ups without a hint of tremor in his voice, “Yeah, today I’ll be accompanying Sakura to protect Mr. Tazuna.”
Sitting steadily on Kakashi’s back and swinging her legs, Sakura asked curiously, “Yukigetsu, why did you come back today?”
“Ah… training is taking a break, so I came back to rest.” Yukigetsu stretched and twisted his neck.
“A break?” Sakura asked, puzzled.
Suddenly, Yukigetsu thought of something, took a few steps forward, squatted in front of Kakashi, and smiled mischievously, “Yeah, that micro Body Flicker Technique that someone said I couldn’t master… I did it!”
Thud!
“Ah…”
Accompanied by Sakura’s exclamation, Kakashi lost his balance and fell to the floor…
“How did you do it?”
Kakashi immediately got up from the floor, a bit surprised and frustrated.
After all, he had confidently said it was impossible, only to be proven wrong in a few days… Moreover, it was truly incredible. No one had ever been known to achieve that!
Imagine, in a taijutsu duel, the opponent being able to short-distance teleport at critical moments. What would it feel like to punch out, only for the opponent to shift positions instantly?
Generally, both sides make predictions in a fight. Yukigetsu’s micro Body Flicker would completely disrupt such predictions, creating unexpected situations.
Sakura, who had just steadied herself, also looked over curiously.
The boy casually shrugged and said nonchalantly, “I just kept practicing… and suddenly succeeded.”
Kakashi’s face twitched, a reason both strong and infallible, leaving him speechless…
Moments later, Tazuna, Kakashi, and Sakura were ready to leave, only to see Yukigetsu standing on the water outside the door, his hands glowing with different chakra hues, slowly approaching…
Swish!
Kakashi instantly appeared beside him, tightly grabbing Yukigetsu’s right hand, shouting, “What are you doing!”
The boy smirked, still focused on the different chakra natures in his hands, and said calmly, “I want to see if I can merge water and wind chakra, creating another Kekkei Genkai…”
Kakashi’s right eye widened, his face darkening. He quickly placed a hand on Yukigetsu’s forehead.
The boy slapped it away, his face filled with black lines, “What are you doing?”
“Checking to see if you’re sick…” Kakashi rolled his eyes. What sane person would try something this foolish?”
Yukigetsu squinted, “Are you trying to rain on my parade again? Aren’t you afraid of being proven wrong and embarrassed?”
“Humph!” Kakashi scoffed, “Kekkei Genkai is generally innate. I’ve never heard of anyone awakening one through sheer effort. If you can do that…”
He paused, then said offhandedly, “I’ll take your surname.”
Sakura’s eyes widened, and then she jumped excitedly. “Yukigetsu, go for it! I want to see Kakashi-sensei change his name!”
Kakashi’s face darkened. While the micro Body Flicker had a slim chance of success, awakening a Kekkei Genkai not inherent in oneself… it was an impossible fantasy!
Could such a ridiculous idea succeed? No way…
However, Yukigetsu immediately smiled brightly, “Deal!”
Heh, Kakashi, get ready to change your name…
Bang, bang, bang…
After Kakashi and the others left, explosions started erupting continuously on the water.
Inari silently leaned against the second-floor windowsill, watching the boy below repeatedly bring the glowing spheres in his hands closer, only for them to explode and send him flying into the water again and again, only to get up and try again…
Bang, bang, bang…
As the rhythmic explosions continued, time passed until the sun moved from the east to high in the sky. Finally, the boy stopped.
Inari pursed his lips. Has he finally given up… It’s no wonder. What’s the point in continuing to strive for something clearly impossible?
He lowered his head, feeling inexplicably disappointed…
Yukigetsu wasn’t one to give up easily. He walked to the shore, took off his cloak and all his upper clothes, revealing a strong upper body, and then returned to the center of the small lake. Under Inari’s shocked gaze, he started stabbing himself with a kunai!
One, two, three… twelve… twenty-five… thirty-six!
A total of thirty-six stabs, leaving his upper body a bloody mess, crimson blood flowing freely. Yet, he didn’t even flinch, simply putting away the kunai and beginning to gather the two chakra natures again. Unsurprisingly, another explosion sent him into the water, blood spreading across the surface.
On the second floor, Inari covered his mouth tightly, staring blankly at the scene, his body trembling slightly.
Why is he trying so hard… No matter how much he tries, it’s useless. Why do such pointless things… Why stay here knowing it’s a death sentence… Why…
He clutched the photo album of Kaiza, his eyes fixed on the boy below training desperately, not looking away for a moment.
Yukigetsu, unaware of his actions’ impact on the closed-off child, was merely performing his daily training. Determined to become indestructible, he sought to stimulate his body daily with his remarkable healing abilities.
In the sunlight, the boy began the cycle of gathering chakra, bringing his hands together, exploding, and falling into the water again.
Bang, bang, bang…
