Naruto: The Fall of the Uchiha - Chapter 29
“Activate Sharingan Suppression!”
With Uchiha Jin’s command, pairs of crimson Sharingan eyes began to glow eerily. The tomoe in each eye started rotating in a mesmerizing pattern.
“How dare you!”
The cat-faced ANBU leader looked utterly horrified. He couldn’t believe Uchiha Jin would act so decisively, disregarding that they were in the heart of Konoha.
This wasn’t how things were supposed to go!
How could he be so reckless? They hadn’t even officially turned against each other, yet Jin had already chosen a path of no return.
The plan was to force the Uchiha back and then eliminate Jin discreetly. But they hadn’t even started yet, let alone left any evidence.
Taking such a drastic step would only give Danzo and the Hokage the perfect excuse to unite Konoha against the Uchiha.
After all!
This was within the village. Acting without considering the consequences should be a privilege reserved for Root.
And now they were acting under the guise of ANBU. This identity had always provided unparalleled convenience for Danzo’s dirty work.
Any ninja faced with ANBU…
No explanations are needed!
No solid proof is required!
The target would simply comply, knowing resistance was futile. Even if they were killed, a simple “you threatened Konoha’s safety” would suffice.
But today!
The cat-faced ANBU leader’s eyes were terror-filled as he desperately shouted at Jin.
“Uchiha Jin, do you know what you’re doing?”
In the next moment!
His look of fear and urgency transformed into an empty, emotionless gaze.
“Whose child is spoiled like this?”
Jin felt exasperated. It was apparent they had come with hostile intent. Did they think everyone was a fool?
Expecting the Uchiha to leave and Jin to follow them quietly after being provoked…
Was it meaningful to ask such questions at this point?
Indeed, no one was that stupid!
Surely not…
Wait!
The faces of Shisui and Itachi suddenly flashed in Jin’s mind, and a sense of defeat washed over him.
Idiotic teammates!
I’m so done…
Fine!
Luckily, Jin had never pinned his hopes on those two liabilities. Soon, he wouldn’t have to see them anymore.
Or he’d get killed by them someday, which wouldn’t even surprise him.
As for these ANBU?
In the next life… try not to be brainwashed into idiots…
*Whoosh! Whoosh!*
*Whoosh! Whoosh! Whoosh!*
*Whoosh! Whoosh! Whoosh! Whoosh! Whoosh!*
Behind Jin, Uchiha Yuwara and Uchiha Tunan turned into blurs, disappearing instantly!
From the moment their Sharingan suppressed the enemy, the two had already dashed forward, unseen by anyone.
Having recently achieved Kage-level strength, they needed blood to validate their growth and release the frustration from being suppressed by Jin in the tournament.
Who would have thought? After reaching Kage’s level and feeling on top of the world, they faced Jin, a rule-breaking contestant.
Despite all having three-tomoe Sharingan, Jin’s superior quality and quantity of chakra and skills had them at risk of being overwhelmed by his genjutsu.
Battling cautiously and avoiding injury was fine, but Jin’s mastery of Fire and Lightning Release and impeccable Uchiha swordsmanship clarified the disparity.
Understanding the massive gap between them, the final match ended quickly. Betting on mutual destruction was pointless and inglorious, something this tournament avoided. Only a few kids had fought with true ferocity, subdued soon by Jonin and hung from trees.
So!
They deserved to die!
Yuwara and Tunan respected Jin and, witnessing the clan’s power firsthand, now acted without hesitation.
It is believing in Uchiha’s supremacy!
With that conviction, four “spies” were swiftly killed. As they fell, seven or eight more Uchiha Jonin charged.
No hesitation, the kunai reflected metal and blood, a morbid beauty in the sunlight.
Even these “spies” had their skills, breaking free from genjutsu. But facing nearly ten Uchiha Jonin, they couldn’t hold out for imagined reinforcements.
In mere breaths, all ten spies lay dead, their bodies marked with disbelief.
“No!”
At this moment, Shisui finally arrived with a body flicker, but it was too late.
He hadn’t planned to follow, intending to report back to the Hokage. But Jin’s unexpected move disrupted his plans.
Feeling Jin had a plot and seeing ANBU activity, he’d followed reluctantly.
Unlike the jubilant Uchiha, Shisui felt out of place, burdened with sorrow. Seeing the ANBU, he halted to observe.
So!
Despite his famed speed, he couldn’t intervene in time, helplessly watching his kin slaughter the “comrades.”
“Why!”
Shisui collapsed, his black eyes instantly transforming into Mangekyo Sharingan, gazing helplessly at Jin.
He believed the clan was part of the village and should integrate, not oppose it. But before he could find a solution, the conflict had escalated to this, killing “ANBU” in the streets…
“Why what?”
Jin glanced at Shisui, stepping over the cat-faced leader’s body, kicking away the shattered mask.
“Can you confirm this was an ANBU?”
