When the heavens evoke a killing intent, stars shift their constellations; when the earth evokes a killing intent, dragons and snakes rise from the ground; when humans evoke a killing intent, heaven, and earth are overturned.

Under the gaze of countless fervent, crimson Sharingan, words filled with killing intent made the air grow even colder.

“Yes!”

Under Uchiha Yuhara’s lead, the clan members shouted angrily at the nearby Root members.

“Anyone who dares obstruct will be killed without mercy!”

“Kill without mercy!”

“How dare you! I am an advisor to the Hokage! If you harm me, Hiruzen will not spare you!”

Danzo Shimura glared, his sleeves fluttering without wind. He pointed his unbandaged left hand at Uchiha Jin, exuding a powerful aura befitting an advisor to the Hokage.

But despite his righteous stance, Danzo did not take a step forward.

Cowardly?

Seeing Danzo’s posture, Jin realized he had thoroughly intimidated this “Shadow Hokage.”

Good!

Although Jin had always wanted to grind this “Scapegoat of the Shinobi World” to dust, Danzo still held some use for him. Killing him now would be wasteful.

Given Danzo’s current docility, Jin considered sparing him to let him experience true despair.

However!

Although Jin had no intention of killing Danzo today, he wouldn’t let this vile man leave so quickly.

Did he, Uchiha Jin, not deserve respect?

“Read it!”

Jin’s eyes lifted slightly, his tone dripping with undisguised amusement.

“Yes!”

Tonan responded promptly, unfurling the scroll.

*Shhh! Shhh!*

Two Uchiha ninjas appeared, holding the scroll high behind Tonan.

“Year 48 of the Hidden Leaf: During the Nine-Tails’ rampage, Danzo Shimura and Root failed to protect the Fourth Hokage and hindered the Uchiha Clan’s efforts to aid him.”

“By agreement of the Third Hokage Hiruzen Sarutobi and the clan leaders of Konoha, Root is hereby disbanded, all Root personnel are integrated into the ANBU, and Danzo Shimura is stripped of his position as Hokage’s advisor and confined to the Shimura Clan compound, prohibited from leaving without the Hokage’s summons.”

Tonan’s powerful words left the Uchiha present glowing with pride, though they also felt confused.

If Danzo had been confined, why had he been so active these past few years?

“Uchiha Jin, why bring up these old matters? Those are past issues!”

Danzo’s anger flared. He remembered how, after the Fourth Hokage’s death, he had nominated himself for Hokage but was backstabbed by his dear friend, Hiruzen.

Hiruzen had tasked him with evacuating the villagers, a mission he completed perfectly, even containing the Uchiha as a ticking time bomb.

Yet, during the meeting to choose the next Hokage, Hiruzen accused him and Root of negligence, ultimately leading to…

“Yes, it was my suggestion!”

Just as Danzo realized the truth, Jin spoke, clearing his doubts.

Indeed.

Despite maintaining a low profile over the years, Jin, as a time traveler, couldn’t resist stirring things up occasionally.

Even if it had no practical effect, it was still satisfying to irk others.

One of Jin’s machinations was Danzo’s premature removal as Hokage’s advisor and the forced disbandment of Root.

At the time, Jin needed more power and was just a regular Chunin, not highly regarded by his clan. But with circumstances against Danzo, Jin seized the opportunity.

Fugaku had planned to make a final concession, hoping the Uchiha’s withdrawal and compromise would bring peace and trust.

Though Jin found this plan distasteful, he couldn’t stop the momentum. He used it as a chance to showcase his abilities to the Uchiha elders and ally with the dissatisfied Uchiha Setsuna.

Jin and Setsuna convinced even the compromise-prone Fugaku to add a condition targeting Danzo when negotiating the Uchiha’s relocation.

Hiruzen, the other two advisors, and the numerous clans wronged during the Third Great Ninja War readily agreed to this seemingly minor condition.

Thus, the world where only Danzo suffered was born!

He was stripped of his candidacy for the Fifth Hokage, backstabbed by his best friend, and lost a significant portion of his foundation.

Of course!

Whether it was Hiruzen Sarutobi or Uchiha Jin, they knew someone like Danzo Shimura would never willingly give up all of Root’s assets.

Even if they stripped Danzo of his position and placed him under house arrest by the Hokage’s order, it wouldn’t last long or significantly affect him.

But things were different now!
Although Hiruzen Sarutobi had only been Hokage again for about six months—coinciding with the Uchiha Clan’s complete relocation—they had already begun to notice Danzo’s underhanded activities.

Danzo’s actions and those of his Root members were illegal!
Perhaps no one cared about this before, thinking it was expected. Still, when Uchiha Tonan pulled out the Konoha Police Force’s major incident log, the nature of the situation changed completely.

While the Hokage holds excellent power in Konoha, it’s not absolute.

Thus, a Hokage advisor who can impeach and restrict the Hokage is a significant position. Even the Hokage must notify all major clans, including the Uchiha, before appointing someone.

Yet, believing he could act freely, Danzo Shimura thought he had become the high and mighty Hokage advisor again.

The Root members under his control made Danzo never feel like he had lost his power as their leader.

Even as Uchiha Tonan read out the old resolution from Konoha’s high council, Danzo was just furious at Jin for reopening old wounds.

“Don’t you get it?”

Uchiha Jin sighed softly, finally understanding how Hiruzen Sarutobi managed to manipulate Danzo so easily.

Danzo was just a clever schemer with no real political insight.

*Sigh…*

Uchiha Jin sighed again, deciding not to waste more words on Danzo.

“Do it!”

“Yes!”

With a light wave from Uchiha Jin, two figures—one in white and one in black—they slowly walked towards Danzo, ignoring the dozens of masked ninjas behind him.

Even now, Danzo couldn’t believe that Jin would attack him.

But Danzo panicked as the two Uchiha ninjas drew closer, their eyes showing no fear or hesitation.

“Uchiha, are you really going to betray the village?!”

*Swish! Swish! Swish…*

With Danzo’s angry shout, dozens of Root ninjas simultaneously drew their kunai, ready to strike.

Root’s members were fast, but the Uchiha were more rapid. As they drew their kunai, each Root member felt the pressure of at least two pairs of Sharingan.

*Thud!*
Some weaker-minded Root ninjas collapsed under the intense gaze.

“This is an operation by the Konoha Police Force!”

Uchiha Jin’s cold gaze swept over the Root ninjas, then the trembling Danzo, and finally landed on the fallen Uchiha Shisui.

“Anyone who dares to obstruct will be deemed guilty of resisting arrest. The Konoha Police Force will execute them all!”

“Jin…”

Shisui’s heart chilled. He knew Jin’s words were directed not just at the Root members but also at him.

“Hmm!”

Uchiha Jin’s eyes narrowed. Seeing Shisui close his mouth wisely, he added casually.

“The duties of the Police Force are not personal grudges. But if they resist arrest, it’s their fault, not ours!”

“Uchiha Jin, don’t do anything rash. Hiruzen won’t let you get away with this!”

Danzo was genuinely panicking now. He never expected Jin, the so-called “Jade Fragment,” to be serious. Did the Uchiha have no concerns at all?

Although the Uchiha Clan held a clear advantage, Danzo’s Root was no pushover. If a battle broke out, they could hold out for some time.

But that was only if Root suffered heavy losses, allowing Hiruzen Sarutobi’s reinforcements to arrive. Danzo himself could also lose his life in the chaos.

As for relying on Hiruzen Sarutobi?

Danzo believed Hiruzen wouldn’t let him die at the Uchiha’s hands, but he also knew his old friend would likely sit back and watch them weaken each other, ultimately benefitting from their conflict.

Danzo gritted his teeth, unsure of what to do.

Fighting back meant heavy losses, but surrendering meant being controlled and humiliated in front of Hiruzen…

Danzo couldn’t find a perfect solution, but Uchiha Yuhara and {Tonan were closing in.

Danzo took a deep breath and quickly formed hand seals: Rat – Dog – Boar – Snake – Dragon!
“Wind Style: Big Speaker Jutsu!”
“Hiruzen! The Uchiha Clan is rebelling! Save me!”

The loud sound waves spread from Danzo, stunning even the Uchiha blocking his path.

Can he do that?

*Hmph!*
Danzo snorted, ignoring the disdainful looks around him.

Yes.

He might have had a chance if he had fought the Uchiha, but would he have sacrificed his life?
Danzo could do anything for Konoha, sacrifice anyone, even himself…

But!

Only he could lead Konoha to the future!
Filled with this unwavering belief, Danzo cared little for the scornful looks. He had abandoned shame long ago.

“Since you want to follow Konoha’s rules, let’s see how you explain this when Hiruzen arrives!”

Danzo smiled smugly, his single exposed eye looking down on everyone.

“Uh…”

Uchiha Tonan and Uchiha Yuhara hesitated, unsure whether to let him go or capture him, but Jin stepped forward and suddenly kicked Danzo.

“Think you’re tough, huh?”

With Jin’s Sharingan fully activated, his size-42 shoe delivered a groin kick, making Danzo cry out and collapse in pain.

“When did the Police Force get so gentle with suspects? Did you forget the Uchiha motto?”

“Fairness! Fairness! Always TM Fairness!”

Jin scolded Tonan and Yuhara, then stomped on Danzo’s wrinkled face, emphasizing “fairness” with each step.

“Lord Danzo!”

Several strong-willed Root members broke free from the genjutsu, rushing to save their leader.

“A ‘Root’ member has no name, no emotions, no past, and no future.”

Jin coldly watched them, making no move to stop them, his tone mocking.

“No names, no registration, and you dare assault the Police Force in Konoha…”

*Swish! Swish!*
With Jin’s scolding fresh in their minds, Tonan and Yuhara acted without hesitation, their Jonin-level skills fully unleashed.

“Uchiha Style: Gale Sword.”

“Uchiha Style: Dancing Flame Sword.”

Blood sprayed instantly, followed by anguished cries. The Root members, mentally weakened by the Sharingan, had no chance to resist and died swiftly.

“Uchiha Jin…”

Danzo’s eyes bulged in rage. He had only ordered his men to test the waters, but Jin had dared to attack them.

He’s gone mad!

This is the resolve of the Uchiha’s jade fragment!

Danzo wanted to fight Jin, but the sudden, decisive attack left him bound by Jin’s powerful gaze.

Danzo was now a pig on a chopping block, unable to resist, only able to issue solid and angry roars.

Jin didn’t care. He held a kunai to Danzo’s heart, signaling the Root and Shisui to stay put, then teased Danzo.

“Scream all you want. Even if you scream your lungs out, no one will care!”
