Naruto: The Fall of the Uchiha - Chapter 4
What immense ocular power!
Uchiha Jin stared intently at the slowly rotating scarlet blades in front of him, his eyes filled with barely contained excitement and greed.
Only a Uchiha who had awakened the Sharingan, especially someone like Jin who had reached the three-tomoe stage, could genuinely appreciate the terrifying power of the Mangeky? Sharingan.
No wonder!
Even an underdog like Uchiha Obito could traverse the ninja world with a single Mangeky?, quickly attaining power on par with a Kage-level ninja.
The same was true for Uchiha Itachi and Uchiha Sasuke. Before awakening their Mangeky?, they were meek and humble, but afterward, they wielded overwhelming power, as if the world was writing a story called “Legend of the Eyes.”
Upon truly sensing this power, Uchiha Jin finally understood what the Mangeky? Sharingan represented.
Kage-level!
Undeniably Kage-level power!
With this immense ocular power, one could cast genjutsu that would trouble most Kage-level fighters.
Adding the dynamic vision and copying abilities, it was enough to instantly transform an ordinary Uchiha Jonin into a seasoned Kage-level powerhouse.
This meant that a regular Mangeky? Sharingan could easily grant its wielder power rivaling the “Strongest Hokage,” Hiruzen Sarutobi, when it awakened.
And if you included the bizarre and mystical abilities of the Mangeky? and the so-called divine power of Susanoo…
As long as the Mangeky?’s power was not exhausted, its wielder was virtually invincible among Kage-level fighters.
No wonder!
Hiruzen Sarutobi was wary, Danzo Shimura was greedy, and even the Second Hokage, Tobirama Senju, who invented numerous forbidden techniques, regarded the Uchiha as innately evil.
Why?
Tobirama didn’t consider the immense power of Hashirama Senju or the forbidden techniques in the Scroll of Seals to be evil.
Because strength alone doesn’t define good or evil; it’s the person wielding that strength.
This power, awakened only by those who experience the extreme emotions of gaining and losing love, was destined from its birth to be in the hands of a “madman.”
Indeed!
Uchiha Madara, Obito, Shisui, Itachi, and Sasuke—all, in a sense, were mentally burdened with extreme pain.
And a madman wielding power that even Kage-level ninjas couldn’t match?
Tsk tsk…
“The Uchiha are indeed innately evil…”
Even Uchiha Jin couldn’t help but sigh at this moment.
“?”
Shisui, who had been struggling with handling the exposure of his Mangeky?, whether to use his powerful ocular abilities to subdue Jin or even kill him, was momentarily thrown off by Jin’s familiar phrase, “innately evil Uchiha.”
The famous phrase “Darkness of the Shinobi World” from the sole member of the Uchiha radical faction left Shisui bewildered, and his previous panic and killing intent turned into confusion.
“Uh…”
Jin realized he had accidentally spoken his true thoughts out loud. He awkwardly smiled at the confused Shisui before him.
“I meant to say, indeed, innately… powerful Uchiha, hahaha…”
Under Shisui’s increasingly skeptical gaze, Jin tried to cover up his slip with a forced laugh.
“Don’t focus on the details! Come on, Shisui…”
Jin stood up again, extending his right hand toward Shisui.
“Join me. Together, we can subdue the ‘moderates’ like Setsuna and the ‘surrender faction’ like Fugaku. Then we can storm the Hokage’s office and reclaim the glory of the Uchiha clan!”
What!
Shisui, who had been pondering if Jin was hiding some unknown secrets, was again thrown off by this sudden proclamation.
What nonsense!
Shisui wouldn’t have been in such agony if convincing the clan members was easy. Any conflict between the clan and the village would drag both into the abyss, with the Uchiha inevitably facing destruction.
Why couldn’t the clan and village understand each other?
Why did everyone have narrow-minded clan-centric ideas, like Jin wanting to unite the various Uchiha factions with the power of the Mangeky? and launch a surprise attack on the Hokage? This was courting death…
Wait!
It seemed possible!
Shisui failed to convince the clan members because his goal was to make the Uchiha submit to the higher-ups of Konoha, which their pride couldn’t accept. The power of a single Mangeky? couldn’t change that.
But if a Mangeky? led the way, it could unite the Uchiha’s strength.
As for attacking the Hokage’s office…
If the timing was right, and the other clans didn’t react in time…
Slap!
Shisui slapped himself, stopping his thoughts from spiraling out of control due to Jin’s interruption. He focused seriously on the handsome, devilish young man before him.
“Jin, I can’t agree with you. Your ideas are too dangerous!”
“So what…”
Jin looked indifferent, reclining back into his chair with a carefree smile, facing Shisui’s renewed seriousness.
“Are you planning to use your Mangeky? on me?”
“What!”
Shisui felt like all the shock he had ever experienced had been used up today. He stared at Jin in disbelief.
“How do you know about my Mangeky? ability? I clearly…”
Trying to calm down, Shisui observed his surroundings and refocused on Jin. His mighty Mangeky? ocular power instantly locked down all of Jin’s possible movements.
Tsk tsk…
Seeming to have adapted, Jin was no longer as shocked by the oppressive power. Instead, he savored it with interest.
After a while.
“I am a member of the Uchiha Elder Council and the chief instructor at the clan training camp. More importantly, I am a wise scholar who loves reading. If not, how would I know about the Mangeky? and Uchiha Madara?”
Jin opened his eyes with a sigh and continued to deceive Shisui.
“The Sharingan is also called the Eye that Reflects the Heart. Its true awakening is when the Mangeky? manifests, responding to your deepest desires.”
Jin looked at Shisui with a strange, somewhat pitying expression.
“Considering your laughable ideals and childish thoughts and actions, the direction of your Mangeky? awakening is not hard to guess. The simplest proof is you standing in front of me right now!”
“…”
Shisui fell silent, feeling as if he had been stripped bare in the winter, a chill sweeping through his body.
His deepest secret had been easily uncovered!
Shisui felt a chill, suspecting his abilities had been exposed long ago, but he knew now wasn’t the time to dwell on that.
It’s been too long!
Years of being a ninja had given Shisui a clear enough mind to realize the priority was to stop Jin from spreading this secret.
“I’m sorry, Jin!”
The red glow in Shisui’s eyes grew more intense, but Jin’s smile only deepened. As Shisui was about to cast Kotoamatsukami, Jin laughed softly.
“If you won’t join me, I can accept another method. Come, Shisui…”
A faint sadness flickered across Jin’s face, but he forced a smile and continued.
“Kill me, control me!”
