Initially hidden behind numerous Root ninjas, coldly observing Shisui being besieged, Danzo’s expression became incredibly grim. He was on the verge of obtaining Shisui’s Mangekyou Sharingan, which would allow him to control Hiruzen Sarutobi, annihilate the evil Uchiha clan, and lead Konoha to the pinnacle of the ninja world.
For Danzo, the loss of Root ninjas was insignificant. These operatives were mere expendables; he could always extort more from the various clans if depleted. It was all worth it as long as he could kill Shisui and seize those eyes of power.
Witnessing the formidable strength Shisui unleashed only reaffirmed Danzo’s conviction. However…
“Danzo-sama, our perimeter patrols have spotted the Uchiha clan. It’s the group led by Uchiha Jin that we encountered earlier!”
“Uchiha!”
Danzo’s already dark expression turned even more sinister upon hearing this. His hatred for the Uchiha clan intensified. He had hoped to eliminate Shisui’s resistance swiftly, but despite one eye missing, Shisui remained a formidable opponent.
Wielding chakra armor like a tailed beast and combining it with his extraordinary Mangekyou Sharingan genjutsu, Shisui was a nightmare for ordinary ninjas. Just as Danzo grappled with this frustration, news of the Uchiha’s rapid response reached him, something he hadn’t anticipated.

“And you all, at any cost, kill Uchiha Shisui quickly!”
Danzo’s command was chillingly absolute to the Root members, who had hesitated before Shisui’s might.

Even if all the Root ninjas perished, as long as Shisui’s Sharingan could be secured, it would be Danzo’s victory.

Although Shisui’s departure from the Hokage disappointed and disillusioned many Uchiha clansmen, they still held a shred of respect for a fellow Mangekyou Sharingan wielder.
As Jin had told them, only the Uchiha could handle Uchiha affairs. If Shisui had strayed, their duty was to judge him, not outsiders.
Even the Hokage had no right!

Despite having unrealistic hopes for the Hokage’s faction, Shisui would’ve met his end much sooner had Danzo’s role been reversed.
Danzo must have underestimated the Mangekyou’s power, giving Shisui a chance to fight back. He must regret his foolishness now.
However…
It was astounding that Shisui could summon such a powerful Susanoo with just one Mangekyou Sharingan eye and hold off the Root ninjas for so long.
No!
She was not just holding them off. As they drew closer to the battlefield, Jin saw the full extent of the carnage.
Blood covered the ground, the moonlight reflecting off the thick, sticky pools, making the scene even more gruesome. Enclosed within the massive green Susanoo, Shisui was gasping for breath, struggling on the ground.
Each time Shisui weakly reached out, Susanoo performed agile movements, easily breaking through the Root ninjas’ defenses and sending another flying, fate unknown.
But with each attack, more Root ninjas unleashed large-scale ninjutsu, battering Susan.

While this method seemed ruthless, it was the best way to deal with Susanoo, whose power rivaled the tailed beasts.
Susanoo, covering Shisui, was riddled with cracks of various sizes, and Shisui’s frail, hunched body had three kunai embedded in it…

“Idiots!”
Before the ANBU could finish, two silver flashes cut through the night, leaving the Uchiha army’s advance undeterred.
On the ground, two disbelieving ANBU operatives collapsed lifelessly…
