The pathway was paved with blue stone bricks, and the lush garden gave the courtyard a touch of meticulous elegance.
With its long history, the Uchiha clan retained its unparalleled grandeur, even when pushed to the outskirts of Konoha. This was a level of sophistication that ordinary ninja clans couldn’t fathom.

After confirming the newcomer’s identity, Fugaku and Setsuna noticed the change in their guards’ chakra and identified the unexpected visitor.

The two men, quarreling, uncharacteristically let each other off the hook, their expressions unusually synchronized.
It seemed that in the entire Uchiha clan… no, in Konoha, only Uchiha Jin could make the two most powerful men in the top clan feel so conflicted.

A genuine fanatic who, if the timing were right, could be the clan’s sharpest blade. But clearly, now was not the right time.

“If he does something irreparable, we won’t have the chance to wait for the Fifth Hokage…”

Fugaku and Setsuna exchanged a knowing glance, instantly understanding each other’s thoughts.

Jin was crucial to the clan’s strength and future growth, but now was not the time to confront Konoha head-on.

Setsuna waved his sleeve dramatically, his anger rising again as he coldly sneered at Fugaku.
“Fugaku, you will regret this!”
“Setsuna, I am the clan head!”
Fugaku reciprocated the cold glare, and both men prepared to leave.

The familiar calls halted the two men in their tracks. Exchanging a glance, they both saw the helplessness in each other’s eyes.
No choice!
To prevent Hiruzen Sarutobi and Danzo Shimura from targeting Jin, Fugaku, and Setsuna had jointly nominated him to the Uchiha Elder Council.
Only a clan elder, untouchable outside of major wars, could avoid those deadly missions.
However, since Jin became an elder, he couldn’t be ignored during council meetings.
“Well, if it isn’t Jin…”
Fugaku sighed internally but still acknowledged the overly young junior elder with a complex look.
Setsuna also glanced at Jin. Jin’s more radical stance seemed even more complicated to him.
