Naruto: The Fall of the Uchiha - Chapter 79
The blazing torrent of flames roared down with unstoppable force, colliding with the massive water walls summoned by multiple ninjas. The intense heat instantly vaporized large quantities of water, creating a dense steam cloud far thicker than the Hidden Mist Technique. The fiery storm then pushed the cloud towards Asuma and the others.
In just a moment, the area spanning several hundred meters was transformed into a foggy world!
What is disparity?
This is disparity!
The ninja squad that had come to support Asuma and Kakashi was equally horrified, unable to believe that their combined Water Release techniques were still suppressed by a simple B-rank Fire Release.
If it weren’t for the elemental advantage of water over fire, they would have been utterly overwhelmed by absolute power.
However…
They had no time to ponder further in this foggy, obscure world.
As the sound of something cutting through the air was followed by an agonized scream, everyone present understood.
Danger was upon them!
“Stay alert!”
Under the high-pitched commands of Kakashi and Asuma, everyone instinctively formed a defensive formation despite the thick fog.
Just as they completed their preparations, an excited laugh echoed through the area, and a swift figure fearlessly charged into their formation like a tiger among wolves.
“Do you want to dance too?”
Uchiha Jin didn’t care about the increasing number of opponents. In fact, after the brief warm-up, he was more eager for a heated battle.
“Sharingan can’t function well here, everyone, take him down!”
Seeing Uchiha Jin voluntarily abandon his advantage, Asuma’s eyes flashed with a hint of delight, and he frantically shouted to his companions.
“What gave you the illusion you could surround me?”
A sinister smile appeared on Uchiha Jin’s lips. With a slight movement of his fingers, he charged forward.
Having fused the combat skills and experiences of numerous Uchiha clan members, Uchiha Jin’s taijutsu had elevated to an art form.
Punches, palms, hooks, claws, elbows!
Kicks, knees, headbutts, throws!
Combining Uchiha-style taijutsu’s reactive speed and illusions, Uchiha Jin’s moves were simplified yet brutally powerful. Without the need for illusions, his attacks were direct and devastating.
Each strike precisely hit the opponent’s weakest point. What appeared to be simple taijutsu moves cruelly crippled the Anbu ninja’s ability to fight back.
Exhilaration!
The feedback from his fists landing, the crisp sound of bones breaking!
An unprecedented thrill surged in Uchiha Jin’s heart, making him understand why some people become battle addicts.
Though the overwhelming power of the Mangekyou Sharingan was satisfying, the sheer thrill of combat skill against skill was equally intoxicating.
In each exchange, Uchiha Jin could feel the intense battle stimulating his mental clarity and the increasingly active power of his Mangekyou Sharingan.
It’s not just about love and hate!
A satisfied glint flashed in Uchiha Jin’s eyes, solidifying his confidence in his future plans.
However, things were far less optimistic for Asuma and Kakashi, who were being mercilessly crushed.
“How can this be happening!”
In the mist, Asuma was extremely anxious. His vision and sensory abilities couldn’t keep up with Uchiha Jin’s movements. He could only track the vapor trails and before a shadow passed by, another comrade would fall.
They were simply not on the same level!
Only he, the son of the Hokage, and Kakashi, the son of the White Fang, could barely hold out for a moment.
“We can’t go on like this!”
Seeing his comrades incapacitated and himself limping from a leg injury, Kakashi realized the mist was making things more dangerous. After being kicked away, he began forming seals mid-air.
Wind Release: Pressure Damage!
A high-pressure wind capable of sweeping away everything shot from Kakashi’s mouth, creating multiple high-density tornadoes as it extended.
However, this devastating Wind Release wasn’t meant to attack but to clear the battlefield, making it easier to fight.
This was Konoha’s best counter to the Hidden Mist Technique, though the chakra cost was severe.
“Kakashi!”
Seeing Kakashi’s condition, Asuma, with a broken arm and leg, lifted his head with concern.
“Not bad, I had fun!”
As the steam and fog dissipated, Uchiha Jin didn’t pursue it. He simply stood, stretching his neck, and smiled at the groaning Anbu ninjas on the ground.
Oh!
Sensing something, Uchiha Jin glanced at Kakashi, specifically at the eye radiating a strange chakra.
“You were the one who wanted to cheat first!”
Pride gleamed in Uchiha Jin’s eyes as he prepared to activate his Mangekyou Sharingan, ready to demonstrate true dominance.
However…
Suddenly, a thick tree sprouted from beneath Uchiha Jin’s feet, binding him tightly like tentacles.
Demonic Illusion: Tree Binding Death!
Having stayed out of the fray due to her lack of physical prowess, Kurenai Yuhi finally made her move. Emerging from the tree’s trunk, she aimed a kunai at Uchiha Jin.
But Uchiha Jin didn’t dodge, a mocking smile spreading across his face.
“Who gave you the confidence to use genjutsu on a Uchiha?”
“What!”
Thinking she had the upper hand, Kurenai found herself unable to move, realizing she was the one trapped by the tree.
Not only had Uchiha Jin countered her genjutsu, but he completely sealed her chakra flow with the power of his Sharingan-enhanced illusion.
“Impossible…”
Before Kurenai could process what happened, a large hand grasped her neck, and a knee strike knocked her out.
“Well…”
Sensing the wary Kakashi, Uchiha Jin looked regretful but not disappointed.
“I heard Kurenai Yuhi’s father died heroically in the Nine-Tails incident. His dying wish was for a grandchild to inherit the Will of Fire.”
Looking at the fallen Anbu ninjas, Uchiha Jin smirked playfully.
“Inheriting the Will of Fire, huh? As an Uchiha, that’s my duty!”
