Naruto: This Uchiha is too Evil - Chapter 19
“Shh!”
A Root ninja barely began to speak before Itsuki cut him off, gently shushing and smiling, “Dead men shouldn’t talk. Goodbye.”
With that, “Ugh!”
Two Root ninjas groaned, clutching their throats as their bodies convulsed before collapsing to the ground, lifeless. Blood seeped from beneath their masks.
“Genjutsu!”
The remaining Root ninjas exclaimed, quickly moving to attack, their eyes filled with shock. When had Uchiha Itsuki used genjutsu? Their detailed reports on Itsuki indicated he was dangerous, so they closely watched him. They hadn’t seen him form any hand signs!
“Surprised?” Itsuki continued smiling. “Do you know? You’ve all fallen into a misconception, or rather, everyone has. The idea that Uchiha’s eyes are everything to them is utterly wrong!”
“Let me correct you,” Itsuki declared, his voice rising with pride. “Every Uchiha can use ninjutsu, genjutsu, and taijutsu. Becoming a genjutsu ninja has high requirements. There are few in all of Konoha, but for the Uchiha, there’s no barrier. This is our natural talent!”
Itsuki flexed his wrist, his voice growing louder, his expression full of pride. The Uchiha clan might have many crazies, but that didn’t stop it from being a great clan. They were powerful and emotional and often produced ninja renowned throughout the ninja world. Sometimes, Itsuki wondered if a Uchiha becoming Hokage would fail to strengthen Konoha. Could it be worse than what Hiruzen Sarutobi had done?
Look at what Hiruzen had accomplished:
The Sannin had left.
Sakumo Hatake had been driven to suicide.
Hiashi Hyuga, a highly skilled Jonin and head of the Hyuga branch family, had died.
Minato Namikaze and Kushina Uzumaki’s deaths, which Itsuki suspected were linked to Hiruzen.
And that’s not all. In the original story, Shisui had died, Itachi had defected, and the entire Uchiha clan had been wiped out. Konoha’s young and middle generations had nearly been swept away, with many Hokage-level ninjas dying regretfully, solidifying Hiruzen’s hold on power. He enjoyed the solitude of having no successors, expanding the Sarutobi clan’s influence.
Hiruzen had said Uchiha Itachi had the mindset of a Hokage at seven, capable of thinking from a Hokage’s perspective. But would he let Itachi become Hokage? Would Konoha’s top brass? No! It all boiled down to arrogance, prejudice, and countless vested interests. In the original story, the Uchiha’s downfall resulted from many reasons, with Itachi and Obito exposing every detail of the clan’s personnel and breaking the Uchiha’s barrier. This left the Uchiha defenseless against attacks from Anbu and Root, and Fugaku Uchiha’s non-resistance made it worse.
Now, Itsuki was in this world as a Uchiha. Thinking they could destroy his clan was a pipe dream! The worst-case scenario would be mutual destruction. For the sake of Konoha, sacrifice himself? He would beat anyone who thought so until they couldn’t speak.
“Uchiha often uses their Sharingan for genjutsu,” Itsuki said, laughing as he faced the Root ninjas. “This is just for convenience and habit. It doesn’t mean they can’t use genjutsu in other ways. Just like me!” He spread his arms wide, laughing. “Even without eyes, I can use genjutsu through sound. How will you defend against that?”
“Uchiha Itsuki, you dare to attack us… Ugh!” A Root ninja tried to reprimand him, but Itsuki had already appeared beside him, his slender fingers sliding gently across the ninja’s throat. The ninja’s voice stopped abruptly, and his head rolled off his neck, the cut clean. After a moment, blood sprayed out.
Itsuki turned his head again, smiling, “My Body Flicker Technique is no worse than Shisui’s, right? Honestly, I’m really strong and excellent. In every aspect, I’ve reached Hokage-level.”
As he said this, Itsuki kept glancing at the attributes panel given by the system, satisfied with the numbers he saw.
“Kill!” The Root ninjas roared, throwing kunai and shuriken at Itsuki. Several ninjas silently approached him.
“Fire Style!” One Root ninja didn’t hesitate to use his best fire release jutsu, not caring that they were in a hospital room.
“Fire Style!” Itsuki formed a single-hand sign, completing his jutsu.
“Great Fireball Technique!” Over twenty meters in diameter, a massive fireball erupted, colliding with the Root ninja’s fire jutsu and pushing it back.
“No!” Faced with death, the Root ninja screamed before being engulfed by the flames. The massive fireball shot out of the room, slamming into a barrier. Cracks spread across the barrier, and muffled groans could be heard.
“Tsk, tsk, to think you’d be afraid? As Root ninjas, you’re not qualified!” Itsuki shook his head, looking at the barrier. “That’s better. I was wondering why no one had come. Genjutsu and barriers, there must be other reasons blocking others. But it doesn’t matter! I feel that you Root ninjas… are just fine! Killing you feels so smooth!”
Itsuki grinned a radiant, sunny smile. Without moving his feet, his body twisted slightly, avoiding all the kunai and shuriken.
“Buzz!” A shadow suddenly spread out, sticking to Itsuki’s shadow.
“Success!” A Root ninja exclaimed in delight.
Itsuki paused, then laughed, “Shadow Imitation Technique or Shadow Bind Technique. Tsk, tsk, the Nara clan. Root indeed has talents, including Ino-Shika-Cho.”
“Die!” The Root ninja’s joy and Itsuki’s laughter only infuriated the other Root ninjas more. They roared and attacked again.
Itsuki’s smile remained as he shook his body, the shadows splitting apart easily, breaking the Shadow Bind Technique.
“How is that possible?” The Root ninja was stunned, glancing at the Nara clan member, kneeling on one knee, gasping for breath. Though masked, his fear was palpable, like a small animal facing a predator, a natural enemy, impossible to resist!
